    Chocolate cake was delish.
    Tony W.

I went to meet with my financial advisor and she suggested this place. I figured just another dull, south OP chow hall. But I was wrong... I was greeted at the host's stand by a nice young man who greeted me with enthusiasm, which is becoming a lost art. He took me to a table, asked me if I need anything before the waitress showed up , but I said I was good. Less than a minute later, she showed up. Throughout the meal, her service was great, and she also made small talk with me and the lady I was having dinner with. When the meal came, she made sure we had any extras we might need and then left us alone. After dinner, she cleared away the plates and gave us a dessert menu. The cake that we shared was delicious. We both had wedge salad with blackened chicken, which were really good. even the ambience of the place was really good. I've talked to a few friends who said that the owner does a great job of hiring people and the kids that I had contact with at the restaurant. We're all helpful, courteous and smiling. This is what makes a great dining experience. I'm gonna add this place to one of my regular stops, it's good to support restaurants that care about customers.

Visiting Overland Park for the first time, my boyfriend is from here and wanted to show me this spot! The Southwest Tortilla Salad & Pineapple Stoli-Oli's drink were great! The service was nice and prompt. There was live music playing and was a fun vibe!

Quick and convenient restaurant with service that's always more impressive than the food. They have a pretty good variety of sandwiches, salad, and other classic options with some islandy and Tex Mex flavors scattered throughout the menu. I got a half sandwich and salad that tasted pretty good, but the sandwich was about four bites and was more expensive than one would expect for a meal like that. The theme inside does provide a light tropical feel, but isn't that notable. All around solid restaurant that you can count on in a pinch, but not one I'd seek out to visit.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years for one main reason: Chopped Salad. After an 8 year absence from KC I was happy to see this restaurant is still open and they are still serving this salad. Staff is always friendly and the salad was great. The small size is VERY filling. Enjoy

We ran into a couple that was telling us about this place and said they only serve breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. However we both work on the weekend normally but ended up having Saturday off and made a quick decision to come check this place out. It's so cute inside!!!!! For it being a Saturday at 1030 am - you'd think it'd be packed but felt like this is a hidden gem that nobody knows about. Prices were great for breakfast with a good selection and the portion was huge!!!! We both went for the meat lovers skillet with toast and ordered a side of pancakes to share just to try them out. Skillet was absolutely delicious --- crispy potatoes and the Pico on it made it! The pancakes were good! Service was incredible. We will definitely be back and can't wait to check out what else they offer.

    Sausage scramble

I have to admit I've been a tad stand-offish about this place. Not sure why but we decided to try it Sunday morning. Man this place is great. Hostess was very funny and nice I ordered a sausage scramble with 2 eggs over easy on top and a side of biscuits and gravy. If you like cheese (I do) this scramble is for you. Sliced potatoes and sliced sausage covered in cheese. The gravy was very good not bland like most. Biscuit was solid. Very good value for the portions and very good service. Give a shot. I'll be returning for lunch.

We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! Food = 5/5 Facility = 4/5 Service = 5/5 Ambiance = 4/5 Value = 3/5

It's also fun to try to stop the clock on exactly 10:00 which will get you a free meal. I stopped it at 10:04. I lost but I was the closest of the others I saw try while I was there. lol You can order, online, at the kiosk right inside the front door, or at the register. I got the large (20 piece) chicken nugget. There's not a lot of price difference in the smallest and largest so I went with the largest, it's plenty and I had over 3 meals. It comes with a side and I chose getting the waffle! Yum. The nuggets are juicy and flavorful. The waffle was also terrific. 2 of my family had wings and the other had Asian Chili loaded fries. I'm not a fan of wings but I tasted the Asian chili fries and they were tasty! The prices are very reasonable for what you get and all the employees were very nice. Scotch Eggs in Leawood?…read more Located in a suburban strip mall around 129th and State Line in Leawood, there is ample parking in the communal lot. Stepping inside the atmosphere is that of a real (modern) Irish pub, with a full bar and comfortable tables. An old wood and leather feel that sets the stage for authentic Irish fare. Having been to their restaurant in Westwood, I have to say that I like this location better - it just "feels" better. Being part of a group of about 20 for lunch, we were seated in a separate room which made socializing easy without bothering the other customers. After being welcomed by our waiter, menus passed out and drink orders taken, we were informed that their chef was from Dublan and that dishes were made fresh in-house. While I did see Scotch Eggs (I like to think of them as an Irish version of an Egg McMuffin) on the menu, I jumped on their Fish & Chips. The breaded North Atlantic Cod was moist and flakey at the same time, with a great flavor. Included was slaw, mushy peas, and their house cut fries (all very tasty). A dash of malt vinegar and a squeeze of lemon later and I was loving it all! Portions were all pretty large, so come hungry and expect to leave satisfied. Prices are well within expectations considering quality of service, food, and atmosphere. Having been a waiter "back in the day" I was impressed with the friendly and efficient service. Not once did I see anyone waiting overly long for drink refills or their meals. That is very comforting during these "post COVID" times of reopening and short staffing. Kudo's to all involved. It is nice to see a true Irish pub in the middle of Leawood. With this one and the one on Rainbow being about the same distance from my Lee's Summit home, expect to see me returning often. Next time I will try their Scotch Eggs!

The scampi had a generous portion of good size shrimp. The pork chop was very thick and large yet was very flavorful and tender. The pork chop came with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. However, in looking over the menu I saw they had a variety of sides. I asked if I could change me sides, which they were more than glad to do. I got the carrots and the cornbread. The carrots were delicious and there was a lot of them. The cornbread tasted good but was a little dry. Next time I would stay with the carrots but try something else. As I said the pork chop was very big and I took about half of it home. When I placed my order the waiter asked if I wanted to order a second pork chop, which I passed on. However, next time I may take him up on the offer and have an additional one to take home. All around I give it 5 stars. Also, we asked about desert. There was no desert menu nor a desert tray to help us make a decision. The waiter did rattle off the desert options, however this was kind of busy to follow. A desert menu or try would certainly go a lot further, as far as we are concerned. In summary, the food was outstanding, the service was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I tend to be a bit weary of chain restaurants. I have to say though, this one had a really nice vibe and I get why people like it here. First of all, it's a nice restaurant with elevated vibes. It reminded me of places I used to go with my grandparents as a kid. It had great service, comfortable seating, and a nice menu. If anything it just feels like it caters to an older crowd - nothing wrong with that, just not my usual vibe. For brunch that day I had the migas and it was really great. Tons of food, and I easily made two meals out of my lunch. Something to note about the menus though is that they don't have a kids menu. They did share items for kids that they have on hand, but no physical menu to look at so not sure the prices or anything. Our daughter had a hamburger and she loved it so that was a win. One plus was she was able to get a side of fruit instead of fries, which was a win for her since she has declared that she only likes McDonald's french fries these days. Overall this is a nice sit restaurant with table service that has an elevated and sophisticated vibe. Likely geared towards older generations but younger folks will find plenty to enjoy here as well.
