Probably the best pizza we've had in this area! Bakery crust and delicious. They deliver too!

Their customer service has always disappointed. But, we rarely eat in as we live close by. Lack of indoor seating will push some outside to the seating under the awning, IF it's clean. Sports on the TVs, full bar and menu. We love their pizza and panini's and their salads are ON POINT. If you eat Mediterranean regularly, as I do, make sure you read the description of their salads before ordering. Jalapeños on a Mediterranean salad? Wings can be dry, but still good. Pass on the calamari. Always too much breading. Pasta is good. Sandwiches too. Overall our go-to place for pizza when eating in. PARKING IS A TOTAL NIGHTMARE!! We went there on a Friday night. Place was packed, but we quickly found a table. We ordered a medium pizza, thin crust, with sausage, onions and mushrooms. It was very good, could have used a bit more sausage, but we will ask for extra the next time we go. Great service, good food, and nice atmosphere. read more

While driving home from Florida to Maryland we were looking for somewhere to eat with a variety of choices. We came across several places but the vibe didn't seem "family friendly". As a final attempt we came across Sunset Pizzeria. I truly don't understand why the overall reviews don't make the rating higher! However, it's a warm and cozy spot, suitable for large groups. The servers are super friendly and attentive! And the food is delicious! The salads are large and fresh and they use romaine lettuce( a plus for me) we all ate different things, but everyone was totally satisfied! The pizza is hot and fresh! The dough is delicious! They have Sandwiches with pizza dough as bread, also amazing! And some tex-mex items, also good! We also had the sunset wings! They're good too!! This place is worth the distance from 95! We ordered from here the other night for delivery. It took over two hours for our pizza to arrive (we were told about a 2 hour wait which is sadly typical for New Riverside in Bluffton and delivery). By the time our pizza arrived almost 2.5 hours later, we opened it up and it looked delicious. Then we bit into it. It was ice cold, I'm not talking "drive from the pizza place cold" I'm talking about, "been sitting out for hours cold." As we took another bite we looked at each other and in unison said "this has no flavor and the crust is like eating cardboard". This was by far one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. I hate slamming a place like this but Little Cesar's was better and we all know how gross their pizza is. We have never eaten pizza that is so bland, so flavorless, so cardboard like. The crust seriously smelled like my dogs biscuits. I would recommend trying one of the other pizza places in the Bluffton area, unless this was just an off day for this place. read more

I've met my wife here for lunch a few times and it's always a pleasant experience. Burgers are really good and so are the fries. Staff is super friendly, but a little slow in getting food to you (we're on a lunch hour don't forget). Also you can't order a burger med. rare or rare. All you can do is beg, and hope for the best! We always get the Meatza Pizza when we go and it is literally the best pizza anywhere around! The mozzarella sticks are nothing to brag about, pretty plain. I'm super surprised that the reviews are middle of the pack. This is one of my favorite places. It's where my bestie and I go to get away and eat terrific pizza. They have a bunch of other great food too, but I keep going back to my favorite "Sunset Supreme" pizza. You can get them as a whole pizza or by the "Super Slice". First of all, this is a pizzeria that's attached to a bar. That means you get 2 menus when you come in and you can order from both. One menu will mostly be pizzas and Italian food, the other menu will be sandwiches and other American food. I have to say that their version of Outback's "blooming onion" is superior to the original. The sauce is better and it tastes less greasy that Outback's. My favorite things to get are the cheesy fries, the blooming onion copycat, and any pizza. However, lately, I've enjoyed creating my pizza slice with spinach, chicken and feta. I think I've tried their club sandwich before and it wasn't really too memorable. Definitely go for the pizza, which you can get regular or thin crust. Since part of it is a bar, there is smoking on one side (left) and no smoking on the other (right). The pizzeria side (right) is kid friendly, as I've seen many families come and eat here with their young ones. There's also a patio area for people to eat outside when it's a nice day/night out. It's a great place to get a pizza or just sit at the bar and relax and watch tv. They have a great selection of shooters and cocktails too. I've included a picture. So yummy. The pizza slices are huge, like the size of 2 normal slices. And I know on Fridays, there is even live music, probably the whole weekend too. Yummy pizza! Sunset is the only pizza shop within delivery distance of my home, and how lucky are we that the pies are delicious! If you're craving a good old pepperoni pie, look no further. Nice thin crust, not floppy, covered in cheese and toppings. My husband enjoys the wings and mozzarella sticks, but I am more a fan of the pizza. We have a family vacation property about 15 minutes from Sunset. We've gone several times over the years. Since they stopped allowing smoking inside we come more often. We pick up Pizza more than anything. The pizza is good. It reminds me of the Greek places around my house. Cooked well. The crust is pretty good. You broke our hearts Sunset over terrible and insulting customer service. Whenever we were Bluffton bound, which was often, we always looked forward to your incredibly good thin crust pizza. On our last visit, our experience was dismal and in reality made no sense. The past four visits, I have called ahead to order since wait times vary and we always have appointments to get to in a timely manner. This has worked wonders for us. We arrive, get drinks and a side salad and within 10 minutes, we get a piping hot pizza straight from the oven. On this visit, I once again placed a phone order. I was on hold for awhile, and when I was finally able to speak with someone, the background noise was loud and I wasn't sure if the order taker heard that we will be dining on site. I wasn't concerned about that anyway, cause why would it matter? In the end, it should have made absolutely ZERO difference as we arrived to the restaurant a full 15 minutes before our order was to be ready as "take-out." As soon as the server came by we let her know that we called in our pizza order, I gave her my name and the time I was told it would be ready. We proceeded to order drinks and salads. For some reason, the pizza took a much longer time then usual and when it arrived we realized it wasn't even warm. Considering the thin crust large pepperoni already looked pretty well done, my husband opted for a fresh pizza to be made when asked rather than have this browned pizza make another pass through the hot ovens. Several minutes went by and the server returned with the same cold pie. I'm sorry, she says, my manager said that since it was a take out order we can't make a new one. Bewildered, hungry and confused, we chose our only option, (besides walking out) and sent the pizza back to be reheated. Well of course it looked like an overly tanned, crispy critter when it came to the table a third time. I had one piece and left the rest on the table. We asked to speak to the manager. She never came. We only heard apologies from the server three times saying she was busy. In our minds, the manager just didn't want to take the time to talk to loyal customers who she decided to completely ignore after making a ridiculous decision. So if I picked up my pizza for takeout at the time told and it was cold, you would find that acceptable? Still confused. Taking our business back to The Old School Pizzeria in Port Royal. read more

First time trying this place we got takeout and it was just eh , I wouldn't order from there again it just wasn't real pizza to me it was a lot like ordering from dominos type of feel and walking into the place it was super dingy and lots of people smoking cigarettes outside just didn't feel clean so I would say it's more of a bar than a place to go out to eat with family . So I placed an order for delivery and was told it would be delivered in 1hr 30 mins after 2hrs of waiting I called to check on my delivery status.I was then placed on hold for 7mins until I hung up and called back.I asked to speak to the General manager (Tricia) whom I explained what happened as far as not receiving my food and also being placed on hold.She explained that the order was put in as a to go order even though I clearly asked for delivery.She then stated "they would put in a new order and deliver it which meant I would still have to wait longer to receive it.At no point has she apologized for any inconvenience or taken responsibility for the mistake.Instead she decides to get smart and rude and tells me she can cancel the order if delivery wasn't acceptable.I explained to her that this was poor customer service and at no time had she even apologized for anything and she said "I do my apologies at the end of the conversation not during ".She was dismissive and rude and this was definitely the worst experience I've ever had.They will never receive any business with me or anyone else I know.And I will also be filling a complaint with the BBB.No one should ever be treated like this!! read more
