Everything was professionally done from the quoting with pictures to show you what you're getting to the install itself. They installed my seat over the wheel well so it tucks out of the way. For commercial full size vans they are not as competitive with prices compare to their competition. One can buy extended full size Ford transit 1-150 for the price of their regular transit T-150. As such it makes no sense to go with them when it comes power of money. Their quality is so so, again their competition quality is much higher. read more

It's a shame I can't give them more stars! Let me start with this, I live in Connecticut. This place is in California. I spent about a week doing research for a converted van for my son. There are are not many vendors here in Connecticut that also carry Mobility vans, and tracking the specific van we wanted was difficult. The only ones I could find in this state were used and were not in good shape. I reached out to Tommy looking for the specific van. Sunset Vans happens to be the only vendor I could find in the US that actually manufactures these specific conversions. Tommy was very forthcoming with what it cost and timeframes to do these conversions and accommodating to my many questions as tried to figure out what our best options were. Let me add there were a lot of those questions! That is something I can not say about any vendor I dealt with here on the east coast. I feel that because they think you are a captive audience you have to go to them and that is just not something I wanted to deal with. He helped us get better financing than anything I could find on my own. (financing a mobility van is really different than a regular car). And even though this Van is coming from California this was one of the easiest and simplest of transactions. No pressure and everything has been easy to deal with. His support and caring made this a no brainer decision. I can not give these guys more praise. They are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone that asked wholeheartedly!. read more

From conversations with various dealers, UVLs are not commonly purchased, and as a result, I've had challenges with installation and support from some dealers as they're not familiar with it. Our old 98 ford van would no longer accommodate our 22 yr old son in his new wheelchair, the van had major hydraulic leaks on the lift and near its "end of life". We found the new van we wanted that was in our price range. Nowhere in the Midwest-(greater st.louis area) can you find ford transit connect wagons (very hard to find)or a manual conversion system like sunset vans has. Saw tommy on the YouTube videos and we loved it,exactly what we thought to be perfect for our son. Due to the fact we would have to have it shipped to CA and back was a great concern especially getting something you've never actually seen in action. It felt like a great risk but I had a feeling in my heart that we could trust these people and we were right. We got the van and have never been happier. Any time of day I could contact tommy with questions and I had a lot, he was patient and understanding,never pushy, helpful in any and all circumstances. They have the only patent for this type of conversion and I would strongly recommend it to any family with special needs wheelchair bound children or adults, you won't be disappointed. 3 yr warranty on it and if something goes wrong they hire someone local,ship the parts to have them fix it. By far the best all around company to deal with. Hopefully this review will help others to give them consideration and bring this conversion across the country. Transit connect wagons aren't very common around here but hopefully will be very soon for other families like ours- just contact tommy- he'll take great care of you. If I could give 10 stars I would. Sunset Vans are not flexible on pricing but when you see the range of vehicles and the condition of them it makes sense! The mileages are low and interiors/body are clean. They are very professional and always follow through. We made a last minute trip to Downey over Thanksgiving and met up with a Sales Representative called Josh. He accommodated our time even though it was a holiday week and when we met up there was no sense of rush and all the questions that were asked were answered with so much knowledge of the vehicle dynamics and all the advantages of one vehicle over the other. We ended up purchasing one vehicle and the second fell through due to pricing disagreements which I was disappointed about then surprisingly three weeks into January Josh came across a van that fit our budget and we ended buying it. I cannot emphasize how smooth it was to work with Josh, he is friendly and just a great personality with a funny sense of humor and always keeps in contact while the deal is going through also answers his phone all the time!
