Chicken wings with house made Bleu cheese dip..delish!
    Dick G.

Bon G and I finally made it to Sunsets at Senix after friends mentioned they liked it. Well, This venue is kinda off the beaten path...about a mile south on Senix off of Montauk Hwy...you see large boats on mounts for the winter cause during the summer this marina is Busy and so is the restaurant. It was a rainy Tuesday circa 6pm when we meandered in. Place was relatively empty so we snagged a table on the South side where if it was sunny you could catch a fantastic sunset. Anywho...we were welcomed by a vivacious young server named Jacy, who it turns out was a pleasure to deal with. We started with cocktails, mine Bourbon Old Fashioned and Bon a Coconut Margarita....both happy hour prices and delish! Their menu has so many things its hard to choose. But, we chose their Chicken Wings 2 2way and they were Delish...Meaty and Perfecto! We also had a dozen local oysters...sweet and delish also...a good start! We met Barbara, the bartender who helped us decide on our drinks. Very helpful and a delight to work with. By now, we were getting full but we went for two mains; Bon had fish & chips and I found something special on the menu...Pork Belly, Scallops on top of cheese grits was incredible def worth getting again! Well...how bout dessert!! We went with the special; Poached Pears in red wine with marscapone cheese..was the perfect finish to a great meal. This is my new favorite venue in Center Morices. Def worth a visit and you wont regret it!!

    Mother's Day Menu

Fantastic!!! We went for Mother's Day and had the prefix menu, what a great choice. For apps we had the Calamari, Tiger Shrimp and Octopus Salad, we all enjoyed everything! The octopus was perfectly cooked, Calamari was shareable and the shrimp was insane! For dinner we had the Pork Chop, Stuffed Flounder and Lobster Thermador, everything was impressive. The lobster was perfectly cooked with a fantastic flavor, the flounder was so filling we couldn't finish it but it was definitely fresh seafood. The Pork Chop was surprising to me. I didn't expect to enjoy the mofungo and beans as much as I did. We finished with both the Lava cake and Apple Pie wonton. I will be thinking about that wonton for days! I highly recommend this restaurant, we will definitely be back!

    Supposed to be roasted chicken

Sorry, very disappointed. The food is very salty, and pricey for the portions. Had to wait over 20 minutes for order to be taken. Subpar service. $32.00 for a piece of bland, roasted chicken with 3 tiny slivers of zucchini underneath. There were about 4-5 small pieces of lobster in the lobster roll with maybe a handful of fries. The mixed drinks, well, no comment. Can smell the cigarette smoke from people smoking right outside of the fenced in patio. The bathroom decor is beautiful! Will not be going back.

    $5 house margaritas during lunch

Went for lunch. This is the first time we have been here since it's reopened. It's beautiful inside. The perfect temp on a hot day. We sat on the patio. Our waitress was very attentive. We ordered an app (chicken wings) and 2 items off the lunch menu (fish sandwich and chicken tacos) all was perfect and delicious and the perfect portion size for lunch. We will definitely be back.

So called Atlantic Seafood. $21.99 a pound. Sigh, but better than Cor-J. We drove over there, and it's a combo seafood market/restaurant, like whatever Indian Cove is called now. (It was Indian Cove almost my entire life, and now it's on its third or maybe fourth name change, and I absolutely cannot be bothered to keep track.) The fish looked fresh and wonderful, and a friendly, very helpful man weighed several different pieces so we could choose. One of us, not me, eats very small portions. We got two pieces, and when seared, they were delicious!! We had walked in through the restaurant, and exited through a giant fake shark jaw into a picnic area. The market part was small and fun, with lots of fake crabs. I got a menu to peruse later, because I want to come back!

You can also buy fresh fish to take home. Amazing place to stop by if you are visiting from out of town.

So many boats, lounge chairs, picnic tables, and you can even sit at or in the boats while you enjoy your drink, food, and the views. The service was great. You can take the menu to view and you order at the bar. The young woman taking our order was friendly, made suggestions, and chatted with us while we ordered. On Thursdays, they offer free boat rides which we didn't take but it was really nice that the option was there. It looked nice and calming out on the water and they had life vests for everyone. We saw a few families out on the boat rides and it looked like a cool addition to the evening. We ordered the Hey There, Sailor ( rum punch). It was delicious. Sweet and strong. We shared the crabby fries, which was good. My friends and I agreed that it would have been even better if the crab and the sauce (Or some other binding agent) were more incorporated but the fries were crispy and hot. I ordered the shrimp roll which came with chips which was pretty good and a nice size. I liked the picnic style tables and the overall vibe. It was like sitting in a friend/family members yard on the water and just relaxing with good food and drinks.

Wow--was I wrong about Applebee's!…read more It's been years (and a few states) since I last visited an Applebee's, and I didn't expect much coming in--especially since my last experience was at a location in California. But this Applebee's in Shirley totally changed my mind. Very nice and clean. First off, the vibe is great, and the bartender Amanda is absolutely on top of her game. I usually don't eat at the bar, but this one is set up so well--it's actually comfortable to dine there. There's even a footrest built into the bar so your feet aren't awkwardly dangling and purse hooks. Small touches are so appreciated! The food came out fast, which is always a win. As someone who's vegetarian and often eats vegan, the menu didn't have a ton of options for me, but I made it work. I ordered the salmon with mashed potatoes, and got the broccoli and coleslaw. Everything came out in under 20 minutes and it was honestly delicious. No joke. Not overpriced either, and the whole meal was only 600 calories--way better than some of the other heavy options on the menu. Of course, I wish there were more veggie or plant-based choices, but hey, it's Applebee's--I'm just grateful I found something tasty and satisfying. On top of that, they had great big TVs going and this fun, interactive trivia game that we all played together. My coworkers are obsessed with Applebee's--they all have the trivia game app, rave about the buckets of Bacardi, and are die-hard fans of the steak, French fries, and some chocolate brownie-and-ice-cream dessert (still not sure what it is, but they LOVE it). All in all, this Applebee's has totally earned a thumbs up on my list. I won't say no when invited again. Thank you, Amanda!
