We visited this dining establishment on Sunday while in town from Michigan and were blown away by the service, ambience, decor and most importantly the food! We kept raving about how wonderful everything from the almond croissant French toast to the omelets, sandwiches and drinks were. Service was prompt and although they were packed our food was served promptly and hot with a smile. We plan on stopping by again before we leave to try more items on the menu. First time trying this place. We had the chicken and waffles (highly recommend!) chicken was tender, moist and flavorful. Also the chicken fried steak which my husband gave two thumbs up on. We sat at the bar and Brad the bartender was on point the whole time. Not only was he making the drinks for the whole restaurant he was attentive to us and answered the phone and took phone orders never missing a beat. Highly recommend. read more

We went to breakfast with a large group of adults and were truly impressed with how well they handled our large party. The atmosphere is quaint and refreshing and the wait staff were so attentive and friendly. More importantly, the food was amazing!! Highly recommend the French toast and Ricotta pancakes. My husband had the "special" Bloody Mary and I ordered the Peach Mimosa. Yum!! We're excited to have a new breakfast/lunch option so close to home. We WILL be back! read more

My brother-in-law had the Steak Benedicts, I absolutely had to try and without exception the filet was choice cut and tender. my fiancé and i popped in this morning super hungry ready to eat and so we got some waters and ordered an orange juice to start and some lemons on the side for the water. i had to ask twice for the lemons and the "fresh squeezed" orange juice was the nasiest thing i have ever tasted. we asked to have it taken off and thats when our waitress said "fresh squeezed orange juice is never good because its not sweet". first of all the oranges were just bad if thats the case and second fresh squeezed doesnt mean you cant add sugar to make it taste right. then our food came and let me tell not at all worth the price, fake egg, nasty sauges and weird potatoes my fiancé didn't even want to eat. and my waffle was only warm because of the fake syrup they give, it seemed like my waffle had been sitting out under a heating lamp. if i could give 0 stars i definitely would have, dont waste you time or money here when you can get better and cheaper at an ihop, and that says a lot! read more

Went in to this so called restaurant to enjoy breakfast with my girlfriend on Monday for Memorial Day. We walked in to put our name on the list. They gave us a 30 minute wait time which didn't seem bad at all so we decided to wait. We walked around and came back 30 minutes after just to be told that everyone that checked in online had jumped us on the list some how... I don't understand how that can possibly work but it was obviously that they didn't want us the minorities eating with "their people" I asked for a manager and she was so disrespectful by first of all greeting me with "WHAT DO YOU WANT." I then ask her if she had a problem with me being a "minority" and she could not give me an answer because she rudely walked away and ran into her kitchen to hide behind "her people" I began to clap at her as she went on to hide in her lair. Hahaha I'm glad I'm not in her shoes but I'm also glad people will read this and know about who this person really is. You can't miss her. She's obviously queen of racism at yolk. Yolk Cafe is new, trendy, and welcoming. I walked in and instantly noticed the "hello sunshine" on the wall. Perfect for a morning get together with the girls. Their strawberry mimosa was delicious! I have yet to have avocado toast better than my own I make at home and yolk definitely impressed me. I'm Greek, so I prefer my avocado toast with feta which yolk gives you the option to do. Really bummed to be writing this review but unfortunately it was no where near the 5 stars we were expecting. First things first, I highly recommend getting on the waitlist on Yelp in advance. It was really busy but we got in right away because of this! We were seated and our server seemed less than pleased to be working there. Not sure if she was having an off day or if that's just her attitude but it was a bummer because I was genuinely excited to be there! It was not the best first impression. She took our order, and at least 10-15 min went by without getting our waters so we finally pulled (who I assumed to be the manager) aside to ask if we could get some water, along with a mimosa flight I'd decided I wanted. The manager was super nice and got us that stuff right away! Our order came, I got the Greek avocado toast with an egg on the side (egg was missing) and my husband got a salad (dressing was missing) and he also didn't have any silverware. We had to flag down our server for silverware and it took much longer then it should have. He also had asked for a refill of iced tea which never came so once again we flagged down the manager. The food in general was sub par. I was SO excited for the geek avocado toast but the avocado tasted like it was a pre-made guac or something. And his salad was okay, but nothing special. You also pay table side which made me uncomfortable because the server sees what you tip right away. It just felt rushed but we were ready to get out anyways! After tip, it was $61. This was for: 2 entrees, a side of pancakes, mimosa flight and an iced tea. A little more than I like to spend for a less than average brunch. Definitely won't be back and we don't recommend. read more

Love, love, LOVE this place! In this area, we were in need of a good breakfast/lunch place after the one in this exact location closed. My husband and I went to the previous restaurant and liked it. When we saw Yolk open up in the same space, we were curious to see how it would compare to the previous restaurant. Well, happy to say, Yolk blows the other place out of the water! Let's start with the decor. It is now so fresh, clean, and bright inside! Love the unique lighting too! And the patio? Misters and dog friendly! Now for the food. In a word? AWESOME. I have been to breakfast places all over the country, and honestly, this is one of the best. Good meals start with good ingredients, and they certainly have them. Do yourself a favor and get the sweet cream pancakes. Trust me. If you feel like lunch, the mac and cheese with chicken and bacon is amazing. And of course, the brunch staple of chicken and waffles is here- and is extremely delicious. Now, what makes a good restaurant exceptional is the staff. And they rock! Brad the bartender is hilarious (and his sangria is delicious). The servers all want to help you have the best experience possible, and Nichole, the manager, is on-site and works so hard to keep this place going seamlessly. Honesty, I'm in love with Yolk cafe.
