The other three were focused on a $10k fix to remove rodents that I didn't have, performing a whole home termite prevention for $2500, one didn't show up, and then Jon from Arizona Pest Solutions easily won my business. Jon very quickly isolated the problem, showed me clear signs of termite entry that no one else noticed, and promoted the least involved and least expensive solution that was most likely to fix my problem. I was scheduled very quickly, Jon arrived on time, and within an hour he took care of the termite issue and helped me fix an ant problem as well. I wont go anywhere else for pest control.

After considering burning down my house or moving, I called Simply Green, and once again, they saved my bacon. Less than an hour later, their technician arrived and removed the poor creature. I found the second place termites had damaged our home on the inside and the response was we can put a trap there and see if there are still termites. When I asked what is the warranty they said we do not warranty any repairs. Than when when we receivd the report they completely ignored the beam I showed them and said it is just dried paint. This service is a total rip off and does not work. We have now had termite damage in three places and they did absoulutley nothing about.

Is that a good old boy make work arrangement or even a conflict of interest? On a home that was built in 1995 they did new home type inspections with current building requirements and codes and what common sense would suggest normal lived in conditions. On another note it seems like a new hot button in the real estate industry to recommend underlayment replacement even though there have been no leaks and no insurance claims whatever. Is it possible that realtors are using this as a ploy to get the price down? A suggestions would be to separate health and wellness issues and cosmetic issues so you don't kill sales or just shift over to new builds inspections only.

The morning of appointment I received a text msg, indicating ETA for his arrival. He and his co-worker did a great job installing over 13" of insulation in our garage attic! He took before and after pictures of our attic. The inside temperature of our garage feels much better now. This is a small owner-operated business who knows how to take care of their customers. A couple even came by to look at the job site and make recommendations about the type of installation they thought I needed. After talking to four or five firms, Milton from Izzy's insulation reached out to me and made the most practical recommendation based on my unique situation. We ended up going with a blown in fiberglass insulation of R 38 and 13 inches. His price was the best by a few bucks, but I particularly liked his practical recommendations, and so ended up using him. He booked me out a week later and showed up exactly on time and had the job done in just a couple hours. He even provided me with before and after pictures that I can use when I submit my taxes for an energy tax credit. Very straightforward and honest service I recommend if you're looking for installation to talk to him at least. As it ended up the insulation did basically nothing to help with the temperature in my garage. If others are looking to do the same thing, I tell you to look at a combination of insulation for your ceiling, walls if needed, and the inside of your garage door these metal garage doors really radiate a lot of heat into the garage.

I offered a couple of alternative ideas and Troy said he would talk to his landscape partner and get back to me... That was two or three days ago and now I Feel like I'm chasing him again. Now I get it if they under quoted me or if pricing changes or something else affects scheduling, but to just stop showing up and to make it so difficult to reach the owner was very disappointing and really frustrating... I had called for a scorpion and spider problem and was pleased to hear a friendly voice on the other line. It was very easy to schedule an appointment; Jason arrived on time and even called me a few minutes before his arrival to make sure I was still available at our scheduled time. He asked for a tour of the inside and outside, and really wanted to know what I was seeing/where I was seeing it. I could tell he really wanted to SOLVE the problem, not just come out and do a quick spray. Not only did he treat for scorpions and spiders, he treated for EVERY pest I might come across. He sprayed inside and outside, even along the fences of our yard, used dusting for our windows/doors/even the wall outlets, dewebbed any visible spider webs both inside and outside, and even set traps near our doors for the critters that end up dying from the spray. He even went so far as to take apart my couch to spray for what he thought could be carpet beetles, because I told him I get itchy on our couch sometimes. He inspected it closely for bed bugs or other critters and (thank goodness) didn't find any, but did a very detailed cleaning spray along every edge of our couch to be safe. The Hollywood Bug Guys did SO much more than I was expecting, but never upsold or pressured me into buying anything extra. They really went above and beyond what I expected and kept me informed every step of the way. They used shoe booties and gloves to keep my house clean and picked up after themselves on the way out by putting everything back how they had found it. I really appreciate those extra touches and the extraordinary customer service they provide! They offer one-time services as well as repeat packages. Not only in the little things, like going around and knocking down cobwebs, checking in trees and hidden areas for signs of pest nests or presence, and taking specific care to note where my dogs were located during the spray of the inside and outside! BUT they must be using a much better spray recipe too because we sure noticed a significant increase in the quantity and variation of the different critters that were "caught" by even just the 1st spray treatment! We never saw that amount previously. MOST IMPORTANTLY, they even immediately noticed that we may have a roof rat problem! I hadn't even noticed anything at this point and I spend a lot of time out in my yard! The Guys were so knowledgeable. They explained several things to us and told us what to watch for... So after the multiple different tools/methods were set and ready to start working.....we waited...and believe me....all I did was watch...from safely indoors, of course! The technician was very tenacious about solving the problem (the repeat visits were all free during that year) so I always respected the company for that and felt they were very honest. I don't mind paying for quality work. We once even had a very expensive treatment that I want to say cost $1000 or or so for a trench around the house. But come this recent issue we've had I just feel I'm being hit with the "caught living in Gilbert tax." Just because I live in Gilbert doesn't mean I'm a CEO and loaded. I'm well below the median and just can't afford this company any more. They didn't seem to care about loyalty on our part coming to them year after year. I don't like that they aren't open on weekends so guess what? Someone is taking time off work (burning vacation time, yay!) to meet with the tech. The tech came out looked at the problem spot we wanted treated and offered $350 with no warranty just to treat one spot. Didn't do anywhere near the inspection I expected (and another company had just provided that we didn't know from Adam). I can go to Bug and Weed Mart and buy what I need for a fraction of that cost and have no warranty doing the work myself. It's not hard to dig or drill a hole. We called another company and their quote to treat the ENTIRE property WITH A WARRANTY was only $150 more. Guess what we did next? We went with the new company. If money is no object and you're aren't concerned with receiving a complete inspection when they come out then go with this company. If you want to shop around there are other equally good (or better) companies with a much more competitive price.
