UPDATE: I originally had a negative experience due to service from one staff member, but I want to update this after speaking with the owner, Rebecca, and the manager, Ashley. They were both incredibly kind, took the time to really listen, and genuinely understood my concerns. That meant a lot to me, and it's clear they truly care about their guests and their business. I also appreciated how personable Rebecca was, she was very present, empathetic, kind, and understanding, acknowledging that the situation had been handled very poorly. I've always loved the food here, you can taste the quality, creativity, and mindfulness in everything. Every other staff member I've encountered has been wonderful as well. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and honestly a great little getaway. Because of how this was handled and the consistency in everything else, I'm updating this to 5 stars. It's the kind of place where you can slow down, unwind from life's demands, share an impressive bite, and enjoy a glass of rosé while taking in the ambiance. Our server, Bryce, was dismissive, rude and inattentive from the start. He wasn't checking on our table at all, and we had to flag him down just to get drinks. We were still eating and planning to order more food and drinks, but service never improved. After waiting with empty glasses, I went inside to order another glass of rosé for myself and a second gin and tonic for my friend. That's when he told me he was "closing us out" and that we needed to leave. This was completely unprovoked and said in front of the bartender and other staff, which made the situation uncomfortable and unprofessional. We were not intoxicated or disruptive in any way. I had only had two glasses of rosé and was trying to order a third, and my friend had one cocktail and was ordering her second. The third glass I did receive appeared under-poured, which added to the overall discomfort, but at that point we were just trying to enjoy our time and catch up. It was surprising that a server would take it upon himself to cut off and remove guests under these circumstances, especially when basic service had not even been provided. Our friend highly recomended we go to Sunshine Wine last night, and the location was lovely and the service was fine. My concern is with the food--none of the dishes we ordered tasted good, and the price was high for the portions we received. The ceasar salad, for example, was bland, and the dressing was salty and bitter. When compared to the salad at a restaurant just down to road, I found this one inedible. I rarely write reviews and I don't do this in a mean-spirited way--I would love to see a local restaurant and bar succeed. It is just that we paid $83 for two drinks and 4 small plates, and couldn't eat two of them and left hungry. I hope the food can improve! read more

What a beautiful bar! They offer plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the atmosphere. The vibe is relaxed and inviting, with live DJs spinning 60's and 70's music that adds the perfect nostalgic touch. We ordered the house wine and a margarita, both were delicious! For food, we went with the bread and butter and the barbacoa beets. The beets were absolutely fantastic. The combination of the koji crema and toasted pepitas was to die for, such a perfect balance of creamy, crunchy and smokey. For desert we got the brownie à la mode and it was very good, I highly recommend. Our server took a little while to bring our drinks, but after that he was attentive and fantastic. Another hit for Rebecca and Scott! Really fun place in an up and coming area right off Broadway!!! Really impressive wine selection, local and other brands that make you want to grab a bottle of everything! We walked in, looked around and we were greeted and told to sit ourselves, inside or out and he would find us. Hubs walked outside because it was a gorgeous day and enjoyed the scenery for a bit before getting waters and menus. We had to start with bubbles and the selection was to die for. Hubs went for a glass of white and was refreshing and satisfying! Prices aren't horrible, actually right on point. Overall will definitely go back!!! read more

First time! Food was delicious. We came here in the mood to snack a little bit and enjoy the weather outside, but not necessarily to drink alcohol. I was surprised that there weren't more NA offerings. We ordered 2 of the couple of options including the canned Parch, however I know I could get them at several other places in town. There was nothing that stood out or was incredibly unique about the non alcoholic drinks. I'd definitely come back if I knew there were more mocktails or more than one flavor of parch. Sunshine Wine is a lovely place to unwind with friends! I've had the pleasure of both sharing a meal inside and having a drink outside, and (weather allowing) you can't go wrong at this charming spot. The wine list is thoughtful and varied, and the price points on the wine aren't bad, especially if you share a bottle with whoever you go with. While I haven't tried the cocktails, the friends I was with raved about the margarita and sangria. The food options are all on the light side, built more for sharing and snacking than a full meal. Some of the plates feel a bit more expensive, but the salads are solid portions that you can share or eat for a meal. The bread and butter is a particularly excellent option (you can see in my photos that I couldn't wait to take a bite!). This was my second time visiting this place. I really enjoyed both of my visits, but this time around it felt a little bit different in regards to eating more food than I did last time. Overall, I really enjoy the service, the ambience and the overall offerings. This night we enjoyed a really great bottle of wine called Ercole. Along with this, we got the meatball plate, the vegan Caesar salad, and some bread with garlic and olive oil. This was all shared. The meatballs were incredible and they offered such a unique flavor to the entire meal. They're not your classic flavors and for that reason, it was a fun experience, I would totally order them again and recommend them. The bread was really good to you although I wish they offered a vegan butter. Finally the Caesar salad, this was my least favorite item and honestly did not feel like a vegan Caesar salad to me. It felt like a salad with some olive oil and breadcrumbs. While the salad itself was not bad, expecting to have a vegan Caesar salad with some juicy tangy dressing maybe some croutons and if possible a vegan cheese would have been much better than what we received. We didn't finish the salad because we didn't enjoy as much as we thought. Everything else was really great, the place is really well kept and I always feel like it's busy. OK--I know I have said this before, but really...RUN, do not walk to Sunshine Wine! Also...drive, because they have a HUGE, free parking lot!! I arrived well in advance of the rest of the group, and they seated me at our table and started the food & wine flowing. I was hungry after running errands in the heat! With multiple areas, indoor & out, to dine & drink, this new place offers comfortable welcoming dining opportunities for groups, couples & solo diners. I had recently tried orange wine at a small winery in Alsace and had been longing for it...and lo and behold, there was a Sicilian orange on their menu!! Delicious and so refreshing...we wound up ordering bottles of it, and the whole group drank them. If orange is not your jam, the wine and other bevs menu is innovative and affordable. And now the food: If I could have eaten more, I would have! I started with dates & nuts, segue to the melon salad (EPIC!), and finished with the toasted wheat ice cream. Along the way, I got to sample the eggplant, and OMG gougeres PLUS the mango sorbet and the citrus sorbet. This phenomenal addition to the Tucson gastronomy scene has an equally impressive commitment to sustainability and community engagement. Can't wait to go back! The food, the service, the vibes, the price - all great. I appreciate the little details like the amazing playlist (they were playing Minnie Riperton and Erykah Badu, loveee that), putting out bottle on ice, and of course the blankets outside by the fire pit to keep you cozy. We went for their wine+dine deal (Tuesday & Wednesday 7-9pm) and it was a fantastic value. I really loved the mushroom tartine and the hummus. Our waitresses also was helpful in checking with the kitchen to see what had dairy & putting that on the side, so that was appreciated. The deal came with one choice of white wine so I didn't get to try much of the alcohol selection, but the wine we had was good. I believe my friend got a cocktail (mule maybe) and it tasted whole/well mixed too. Plenty of parking and a pretty convenient location, makes this a new go to for me. I had high hopes for the concept but found the menu to have limited Arizona focus, with only one AZ wine from Cottonwood. We were also peckish and hoping for something sweet. Sunshine Wine is nestled in a cute old converted house off of Broadway by the u of a campus. The place is very pretty. The outdoor patio has lots of seating & they had fireplace. There was a big table for groups. It's perfect for a cool fall evening with friends or a date spot. I thought the wine selection was limited by the glass but good and the service was the only downfall. I tried to order a drink at the bar and they told me that I needed to have a seat to order and servers seemed annoyed the whole time we were there and they weren't very helpful with selecting any wine. I ended up going with a red blend cause it was just safe. I ordered the bread and butter, which was absolutely fantastic. It's definitely not a place to come hungry too so if you want food, keep in mind that the plates are very small tapas style. read more

Fantastic presentation and experience! The place was packed at 4:45 on a Thursday, when I met a friend for happy hour. We sat at the community table which I always love. We enjoyed the olives aguachile - the flavorings on these were delicious, and there were so many olives that I took some home, we also tried the pinto hummus that came with tortilla chips - soo smooth and creamy, and beautiful presentation with the olive oil and radishes! We also had the bread and butter - delicious sour dough with the creamiest butter, and lastly the roasted wheat iced cream, which was crunchy and a little salty, but absolutely perfect!! We visited Sunshine Wine for the first time yesterday, and had a lovely time. For a Thursday early evening, the place was packed. There are seating options at the bar as well as tables inside and on their front and back patios. The seating style is more communal, so don't be surprised if another party shares your larger table. I really enjoyed the aesthetic of this place, it is very cozy and has a lot of fun stained glass lamps and other unique decor. We ordered two glasses of wine, a French Sauvignon blanc and a Spanish Mencia. Both were light and easy to drink on a hot summer day. We did not try them, but saw other people ordering spritzes that also looked good. They have a small cocktail list as well, including a twist on a gin and tonic with Yuzu liqueur that I will definitely be back to try. Their beer list also has a lot of great options for people who don't drink wine or liquor, including some of my favorite breweries Pueblo Vida and Pizza Port out of California. We enjoyed a couple of small plates, including the olives aguachiles (large portion, bright and citrusy) and the goat and bleu cheese stuffed dates (creamy and rich). We would come back to try some of the other food options on the menu and drinks as well. Service was quick and attentive. Spent a delightful afternoon at sunshine wine. They only have a snack menu from one till four so we tried the nuts and the hummus and the olives. Normally, I think hummus as a boring appetizer but figured we would give it a try. It was delicious and I definitely will order it again when I go back. They asked if we wanted a roasted red pepper purée on top which we did so glad we ordered that and the server also talked about green chili oil ring around the hummus. Each taste was so interesting and I want more. The nuts were a nice mixture and we're slightly spiced and a little sweet. Easy to eat by the handful. The olives were way better and more interesting than I expected. And then we topped it off with wheat ice cream. Definitely not your standard fair. I definitely want to go back and order everything again plus try some of the other offerings. And it's a cute little café with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a huge wine list although we just had spritzers. Now I want to go back for the dinner menu. read more

Sunshine Wine is a little slice of happiness located outside of downtown Tucson. Everything Rebecca, and Scott create locally is so well thought out, organized and meticulously done. My husband and I really wanted to go in the first few days of opening and there was a great crowd at opening. The space is hip, with artwork sprinkled throughout, and a fantastic selection of wines with tables situated throughout. The atmosphere makes it feel like you're sitting in a wine store, which is fun. We sat outside for a little while in order to wait for a table and we experienced their spacious outdoor area which includes a fire pit, tables with sun umbrellas, and a small herb garden. We ordered stuffed dates, and squash crostini's. Both outstanding with fresh complex flavors. Everything was delicious. I ordered the Chardonnay, which was buttery, dry and very tasty. My husband ordered a local beer. They have a great selection of beers as well as cocktails. We are really looking forward to spending more time on their patio because it's a great space! After about twenty minutes a table inside opened and we ordered more wine. Overall, our experience was delightful! This will be our new summer happy hour spot! read more

I'm a huge fan of tap and bottle and I just love this new concept. We went here for a girl's night out and had wine and share some small bites. The waitress was so helpful and friendly as we tried to decide what drinks to get. They have plenty of other drink options too if you're in the mood for a beer or cocktail. We sat outside and it feels like you're in your friend's backyard. They have a small bar area inside and more seating inside. The whole property is super cute and inviting. I have an Airbnb in the neighborhood and I recently discovered this little gem. I am excited to list this on my Airbnb for my guests to visit. My boyfriend and I were walking the dogs last night and stopped by for a glass of Chianti. The place is adorable, clean and dog friendly. The ambiance and service was truly enjoyable. Truly impressed and excited for our neighborhood. Sunshine Wine is Definitely worth visiting especially when looking for a relaxing and peaceful evening. My wife and I live in the neighborhood and are very excited to have wine/cocktail bar within walking distance! We went on opening night with a group of 6 and not one person had a bad thing to say. From the cozy front porch seating, to inside the quaint little house, all the way to the back patio, the space is very cute and inviting. Feel like you are walking into an old friends house to reminisce. For cocktails I had the Aloe Me and the Sunshine Sour (I believe that's what it was called) and both were balanced very nicely. We also had some small bites, the shaved veg salad, a Caesar salad, Aguachile olives, and the star for us was the tartare. Everything tasted great and for an opening night, very little waiting.
