Parking is a little tuff at times, you will find a spot eventually but you just have to circle around and walk further. They do have valet though, so that's an option. There is not much shaded sitting areas near the water so an umbrella is highly recommended, or a hat, but definitely plenty of sunscreen and water. The scorching summer hot days in Texas will have you screening if you don't. So pack accordingly and plan ahead.

The gazebo gives a great view of the lake and being able to walk the shore and skip rocks is always a very relaxing thing to do. There's actually a secret spot tucked off away from the lake that people don't know about. Good fishing in that part, but not so much in the lake itself from the human interaction on the edge of the water. Families come out and hang out and windsurf so it's pretty family friendly. Also a nice place to go on a date and star gaze. Lots of traffic here on the holidays like Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Juneteenth, and New Years. People from all over come out and celebrate and it can get a little hectic but there's plenty of space to do what you want. I'll always love this place

I told her I was in site 15 for 2 days then moving over to site 13 for ten days. She said give me a few minutes I will call the guy in site 13, because she thought he had left early. I had to unload my tow car anyway, so I said great. She called me a few minutes later saying guy had left & I could just park in 13 for the duration. This saved me having to unhook & move RV. THAT IS great customer service!! Now the park. The sites are spacious, deep & wide. Easy to back into. Great areas to walk your dogs. Showers need a little TLC, but I checked all 3 that were open (1 was being repaired). One had a good shower I I took an early shower after setting up. The fields around the park are well maintained. Road getting to park (maintained by city was a little rough). No street sign at turn off, due to construction on road. Price to stay here is fantastic. Close to Dallas area & many other cities. I highly recommend this place.

I wish the money that was put into the park would be used to remodel the entire bathroom and showerfrom scratch and make it modern. It's so unfortunate that the leaders are supposed to upkeep public spaces are abusing the income of taxpayer money to benefit themselves. The gatekeepers nevertheless are very lovely people who greet customers. Therefore photos I have taken of the showers that I think needs to be addressed publicly and hopefully somebody will take action and fix the issue. Plus, there's no heater or fan in the bathroom that works. In the bathroom that doesn't have electricity doesn't have electricity and yet people still pay $14 a night for the entire system.

Come out and have some fun in the sun! Just remember your pet can't come. Sorry, I wish my little gal Molly could come too but you will have fun anyways!
