However, I'm rating them a three because unlike most moving companies I encountered, they did not include wrapping. Normally when you have a mirror or any furniture with screws, they wrap your items or put your screws in a baggy. In this place, I was told that would be extra for each item wrapped and they did not put my screws in a bag. This was the first time I heard of something like this. They also told me to put some items in my car because they couldn't do it. For example, my computer items, such as my screens. That was very odd. The movers were just doing there job so I can't say they were doing anything wrong. I will say, my bed frame feels wobbly so something is off there. In my opinion, I should have just hired someone from Facebook if I would have know I wasn't going to get a full on professional mover experience. I paid 238 cash or so for 2 hours. I think the price was the most competitive but the service was not what I expected.

They were hyper efficient and it's clear they care. Our move was not easy... We moved out of an apartment (2 bedrooms, 1 study, 2 bathrooms) on the 3rd floor into a 3 story condo (3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms all on the 2nd or 3rd floor (meaning 2 flights of stairs). From the apartment, they carefully took the bed frames and other furniture apart, and then wrapped all the furniture with blankets and plastic wrap. Once they loaded everything into the moving truck and arrived at the new place, which they did super fast considering there was only 1 elevator to work with and they were super fast at unloading into the new place. Once at the new place, they took everything up the stairs and reassembled all the furniture with the same care and concern. I was amazed at how quickly, but also how carefully they handled the entire move. They apologized (even though they absolutely did not need to) that they needed to take an extremely quick lunch break (maybe 20 minutes, but an hour would've been well deserved). Although I don't plan to move for awhile, I will absolutely recommend this company to anyone else who may move in the future. Proper movers is THE best!

Other companies will quote you one price but after it is all done, will charge you more, and it is always more, they never surprise you with less. Prior to the move, I discussed pricing and payment terms directly with the owner/manager and confirmed the agreed-upon amount. However, when the movers arrived, they immediately demanded cash up front and refused to provide any services unless payment was made on the spot. This directly contradicted the prior agreement. After loading the couches, they demanded an additional $100 that had never been disclosed or authorized. The situation felt coercive and inappropriate. In addition to the payment dispute, the movers caused multiple damages: * One of the couches was damaged. * The garage door was damaged. * A component of the security system on the back door was broken. Furthermore, one of the workers raised his voice and yelled at my wife and daughter. This behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. When I contacted the company to request information regarding their insurance coverage for the damages, they refused to provide any details. This company demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and respect. I strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
