You can find better. I used these guys twice in the past 6 months. The first time was a good experience although they pushed back my move 8 hours because of their truck breaking down. They hooked me up with $20 off per hour for the inconvenience (5 hours total). But, I missed work so it just evened out. I enjoyed chopping it up with the guys so I thought I would use them again. The second time was decent service but they charged me over DOUBLE for less stuff and a shorter move. I knew it would be more than the first time but over twice the price was ridiculous. At the end of the move the guy was just tacking on more and more charges. For instance, I was charged $165 for shrink wrap (they used waaay too much in my opinion). Plus the deal of paying cash and knocking off the 5%+$40 fuel surcharge that was discussed in the beginning went out the door in the end. The excuse "You signed contract". All in all, I would go with someone else and get consistent service. I really wanted to like these guys and had even recommended some people after the first move. They were careful with my stuff, professional and kind. They protected my dear harp. They are not particularly expensive for movers, but a 2BR apartment with lots of furniture and unnecessary first-world accumulated crap (and I had 2 stops- storage facility and new apt) ran me just under $500 plus tip. However, my stuff is safe, they were thorough in how they loaded and stabilized everything, and overall it was all done honestly and hassle-free. read more

When I first booked my appointment with Kelli, she was great and customer service was exceptional. After my appointment was booked it turned into a complete disaster!! I had an out of state move from Texas to Arizona. When I booked Kelli let me know that the window for pickup was 24-72 hours from my requested date and same for delivery which was false. Delivery takes 14-21 business days which wasn't told to me. It was in the contract in fine print which was later thrown in my face but the reason I booked was because Kelli told me it'd be 24-72 hours for both deliveries. When the driver showed up he came in an Enterprise Van and told me he was a contractor and that my price given was incorrect. I was quoted $1,800 which ended up being 2,100 for each delivery which was an extra $700 I didn't plan on spending. Then the driver kept insisting I make my check to him directly and not the company which seemed very shady to me. I tried calling Kelli and got no answer. Then 3 days later, Johnathan the Service Manager returned my call and told me a check wasn't an acceptable form of payment and that I should never pay the driver directly. Talk about freaking out since they now had my valuables with an estimated value of $25,000. Then from there the nightmare began. I expected to have my items in 24-72 hours which I was then told would actually be 14-21 business days and I had nothing but the few items I packed. From there I had to call Jonathan multiple times to get a status update which he told me he had no way of contacting dispatch for status update. Five days passed and he gave me a delivery date of Saturday which then changed to Sunday morning. On Sunday morning I received a call from Jonathan letting me know my stuff wasn't going to be delivered that day because the truck broke down and he couldn't tell me when. I asked to speak to the driver and for more information which Jonathan then told me he didn't know who the driver was and hung up on me. Talk about customer service!! I finally found a number for the original driver I had who put me in contact with the driver he thought had my items who was another independent contractor. He let me know he moved another job to help me and they sent him by himself which was so unfair I felt to this driver. Meanwhile, I never heard from Kelli and the last response I got from her was that she couldn't talk because she was sick. Long explanation I know but I would highly recommend not using them due to their unprofessionalism, overcharging and poor customer service! read more

US moving did a fantastic job with my move! They arrived within the specified 2-hr window, calling 30 min in advance as advertised. Since this was a partial home move, I expected to have to give a lot of instructions about what goes, what stays, etc. Instead, I showed them around once (clusters of boxes and furniture spread throughout the house) and they got it right the first time! I was very satisfied with the care they displayed with my items and especially how they secured everything in the truck. I've hired moving help once before and had good experience with the muscle but not the packing and securing part. These guys did a stellar job at both! Fastest move I've ever had, and they even assembled my bed and kitchen table while I signed the completion documents. Great job! Would definitely hire them again! read more

Not even a call or email in the morning to warn me, it was only because I called that I found out. Not only very unprofessional, but also extremely inconsiderate. I would not recommend this company to an enemy. This is an honest review from what I had experienced. Alex and his 2 workers came to help move me to a new place 8 mins away. I walked him and his crew through my house of items to move. I told him anything in the closets are not to be moved. I walked him through the garage and showed him the rest of the items. Next we signed the contract. He did disclose there is a charge for using shrink wrap. What he didn't disclose was they use it regardless of asking me if I wanted them to and however amount. When Alex got to the moving of the bedroom stuff he was in my room. He said he had wardrobe boxes I can put my clothes in (hence I did not pack any clothes up since I just wanted them to move the real heavy items to cut time and cost). I told him at first no I can do those later. He kept in insisting and that it will save me time. So I gave in since I only have 2 days left to turn in my keys. I told him I don't want my closet to be packed but he can pack my daughters' room. I walked away again to do something and my husband came after me saying why is Alex packing our closet. So I go back and tell Alex don't pack my closet. I had very important items stored there so I didn't want anyone touching it other than me. I went to close my closet door. Alex finished up my room and then went to my daughters' room next. He packed all their stuff from the closet into the wardrobe boxes. In between packing I have to say Alex was constantly on the phone. He would try packing and loading stuff with one hand since other hand was holding cell phone. Him and his crew constantly took smoke breaks. At first I didn't mind but it happened every 30 mins or so. Hey it's my money they are using for this since I'm being charged by the minute. I should have said something but the nice and reserve person I am I didn't. I even gave them water since it was a very hot day. Fast forward they are almost done 4 hours later, I have a 2 bedroom house, I saw some rolled up nickels on my kitchen cabinet. I asked my husband where that came from. He said the 2 guys (not Alex) gave it to him as they found it outside. That was when it hit me! I had hid my daughters' rolled up coins in their closet shelf! Not thinking anything and trusting the movers had put it in one of the wardrobe boxes I'll get it when I unload at the new house (had to unload so box can be returned to them). Left old house to meet Alex at new house and literally my alley was filled with cigarette butts! Fast forward to the unloading of the wardrobe boxes at my new place. Could not find the rolled up coins! It was in a clear plastic box that is a good size to find easily. I let this go and didn't say anything to Alex as I didn't want to come out accusing of theft. I ended up paying about 6.5 hours! Over $700 spent. $165 was for the shrink wrap! I should have got credited for their breaks they took. I understand a quick minute or two but each break was about 15 mins long (i had timed m after seeing too many). For a 2 bedroom house that was a lot of time to move! Too much. My last movers did under 3 hours. I think what happen was since I was their only customer that day that they took their time. I mean the number of breaks and lagging they did....I had to pay for it. Not fair but what was worst was stealing from a 7 and 5 year old. I ended up not finding the coins so I texted Alex the day or so after and he finally confirmed his crew saw it in the back truck. How the heck did it get in the back truck if it was to have been in one of the wardrobe box!!? He said he'll return to me after the 10th of September since he was busy. It is now way after the 10th of September and have not return then to us. I will be making a police report since the amount is well over $200. Very sad situation. When a parent have to lie to their children that their money was used for the house when in fact the movers stole it. I believe it did not fall back in the truck but they tried stealing it since things don't just "fall" out of a box! As heavy as that plastic box was with all those coins....they would have heard it falling out...if it had legs to fall out! Please do not use these movers. If they have the heart to steal from kids who knows what other stuff they may steal. I am at the point I am done playing this game with Alex. I had even offered to go to him to get the coins any time of the day and he said he was too busy! Pathetic! Alex I hope you read this review. You said you had kids that are my children's age. I hope they don't have to go through what my kids are going through. I showed them how to save for something they have been wishing to go to all their lives (disneyland) and you come to take that away. What you took I hope it back fires on you tenfolds! Most of the service was decent. The one star for how they handled problems poorly and attitude. 1) The insurance doesn't exist. They will give you multiple excuses why it the customer's fault. Very bad attitude. Solution: don't tell the customer there is insurance. 2) The pieces that I told the movers that I cared the most about are the ones that got damaged. I had to ask to have a blanket around one of my favorite chairs. The other one went in with out my seeing, probably unwrapped, and got dinged. Solution: wrap all the furniture, especially the customer's favorite. 3) The couch was wrapped in shrinkwrap, but without blankets. Not good enough to prevent scrapes. Leather couch ruined. Solution: wrap couches like cabinets. 4) Sell customers on shrink wrap service instead of just saying these supplies cost $$ extra. People don't think they need it and think it will be communicated before used. Solution: sell the customer on its virtues. Easy to make the customer want it. Turn a negative into a positive. I would never use these guys again. Shockingly poor customer service attitude. For the record, what they did well was show up on time (even a little early), navigate a very narrow driveway, and efficiently pack a truck. read more

I needed to move a ton of furniture into a new third-floor office. The movers showed up on time (even a few minutes early), were very careful to not damage the furniture or the building. They were very attentive to instruction and my requests, and even moved all my trash/boxes down to the dumpster in the underground parking lot. was scheduled for them to move me today and had a 2 to 4pm window for the truck and movers to arrive at 430 I received a text telling me that they would be late and would be at my home at 7pm I was alil disturbed but took the day off work so figured okay then I get another text telling me that the driver will be at my house around 9pm at that point I was done with this company for wasting my day and full of excuses I spoke with Ben after that and he wasn't aware of this and said he would call me back that was at 740 pm it is now 9pm and I've called back to Ben 3 times and he has not answered or returned a call. I needed some last minute movers and I found them on Craigslist. I called on Tuesday and spoke to Stan. I told him that I needed movers for that Sunday, 3/1. I was so glad they could fit me in on such short notice! Stan asked me to email him all the info (addresses, my contact info, etc). Right away he returned my email with a confirmation and then called me back to let me know that he emailed me. As promised he called the day before the move to confirm again. Then he called the day of to let me know he was 9 miles away so I could meet them at the storage place. I had 2 pick up locations and one drop off destination. Two of the locations had stairs. The guys showed up with a big industrial truck, they had plenty of wardrobe boxes which was really helpful, and they were very professional and friendly. This was a surprise considering I found them on Craigslist so you never know what to expect. I would definitely give them a call again. Oh, and no charge for drive time. First of all, Sam was very helpful and accommodating when I telephoned to make by appointment. He made sure to confirm the correct date and time. I had to change my appointment at the last minute and he was again very accommodating. I had chosen to go with U.S. Moving Service because they had insurance as movers. I first found them on Craigslist and liked their low fees ($59/hour for two movers; 3 hrs minimum). I was looking for a low cost mover with value for my one bedroom move across town. After comparing rates and services, I had my movers. Second of all, Viktor and Lyall were on tome early in the morning. They were pleasant and very efficient. They also helped move a piano into my aunt's garage. They supplied blankets and wardrobe boxes. Before I finished packing my personal effects, they were done and ready to go. The move-in was also smooth and efficient. Viktor told me not to move the furniture myself in case I inadvertently scratched the hardwood floors. He and Lyall moved my furniture to my liking. They were great. The whole move lasted 3.25 hours. I will definitely call Sam again for my next move and would not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family. read more

I used U.S. Moving service last week to move my household approx 5 miles away. I booked the move thru a gentleman named Stan who was very nice on the phone and answered all my questions. Moving day the truck showed up along with 2 workers as I was promised. One of the workers started to hit on my wife to the point where she felt uncomfortable. I was at the house we were moving into so I went home to "deal" with the pig. After he heard the racking of my shotgun I made him call his boss to come get him and bring someone else. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT USE US MOVING SERVICE INC.!!! STEALERS, CHEATERS, SCAMMERS!!! During a very pricey move (we used 4 men for over 12 hours), they lost my elderly mother's safe that had several thousand dollars and jewelry inside of it. While the move was in process, both my mother and sister informed them immediately and they did absolutely nothing about it. We filed a Police Report the very next morning. US Moving Service have completely ignored the fact that the item is missing. Subsequent to that, they have refused to take or return any of our phone calls and emails and have completely disregarded our request for information for their Bond Insurance. It has now been 3 1/2 weeks since the incident and they just continue to ignore our requests! I am extremely disappointed in the way Alex is handling this situation, since I have used them in the past and haven't had any issues. BEWARE! They hire THIEVES! We contracted US Moving early September 2014. Stan and his crew of 2 knock out the move in 7 hours, but they took too many smoke break in between moving the all our furniture. This added easily 1.5 hours of extra to the move. But our real issue is that the STOLED FROM US! A few days after the move I came across charges to my wife's AMEX card at a Burbank gas station! We have not visited or no anybody from Burbank and it just so happens this moving company is located in Burbank. Today I received a letter from Chase informing me that I failed to pay my credit card bill. Apparently 2 charges appears on our statement, one in Burbank and the other in Palm Dale on Sept 6th and 8th. They made charges the DAY WE MOVED! Needless to say I have opened a Police report with Burbank PD and they informed me that I am not the first person to open a report against US Moving. BEWARE!!!! read more

DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! The most horrible experience!!! I will NEVER in my life again! And even if they would be the only moving company in LA I'd rather move myself then hiring them! First, there appeared two terribly stinking Russians. Nobody expected them to smell like right after the SPA, but our appointment was first thing in the morning and their smell was as if they didn't shower for the entire week already! Second, the movers forgot to bring the wrapping paper (and we had a lot of glass, some delicate sculptures and a couple of big mirrors). Third, when I asked if they can wrap one special wooden sculpture (from soft type of wood) into the blanket to prevent any dents the man called Alex brassily asked me to step away and let him do his job! I wasn't ready for such an attitude and stumbled. I didn't talk to them almost for the entire time while they were loading our furniture. Forth, when my husband asked them to be careful while wrapping our glasses (remember, they didn't have a wrapping paper) the same Alex barked something like I know how to do my job, and why are we so rude to him? I was shocked!! Not only my husband offered them some refreshing drinks before, but he also was packing and doing all the hard work they were supposed to do and were payed for! I asked them to chill and keep doing their business and the same Alex growled at me that he doesn't want to hear a word from me and that he's going to deal only with him (pointing with his finger on my husband), since he's the one who is paying and I'm just a woman and have to shut up !!!!! I was about to punch the f***er for such an impudence! Not only he dared to come to my home and open his dirty mouth, but also to insult me as a person, as a woman and as a hostess! I have my husband and our neighbor as whitenesses of this precedent. Fifth, to move our one bedroom for literally 5 blocks they took forever. They charge hourly and they were moving our already pre-packed (!) stuff since 9am till 6pm!! They were specially carrying one piece per time on the way from our old apartment to the truck and from the truck to our new apartment. Even a woman can carry two chairs at the time and that sturdy was just walking back and forth to make it longer. Sixth, they were discussing us and making fun of us. I know Russian language and can perfectly understand them and heard all they were talking behind our backs. I usually don't write feedbacks, but this time I won't keep silence and here you have my honest advice: for goodness sake don't hire these movers! Otherwise you risk to be insulted and treated like a piece of s***t at the comfort of your own home by people whom you pay your hard earned money. read more
