Made a reservation for my partner and I. Got there almost 15 minutes late. When we arrived, they only had bar seating so it seems like our table was given to someone else? I asked about a grace period and it turns out they don't have one. I wasnt upset- it is my fault for being late but wanted to know for future reference. Later, the owner (same person who greeted us at arrival), came by and said they'd move us to a table when one opened up. Seating was super packed. I had to carefully squeeze my legs through the gap between the stool and the guy next to me or throw my legs over the barstool. I did fit but was constantly trying to avoid being in anyone's way. I was so cramped that i kept looking over my shoulder to see which tables might open up The bartender was friendly and very busy. There seems to be a lot of regulars here and multiple people were trying to chat with him as he worked. A table opened up and we were moved to a table by the door, along the window. It was great having much more space. Tables were still a little small but I liked how intimate it was. 5/5 chicken parm - SO GOOD. i saw a ton of reviews saying this was amazing so we ordered it and they were so right. all the flavors just work together. its savory and pairs so well with the sauce. they had given us a bread basket earlier and we dipped it into the sauce bc no way we were wasting it. 4/5 smoky potato pizza - good and very interesting. the potato was on there in slices, giving the pizza a nice bite. but bc so of the toppings were white, my partner had a hard time telling which parts were the potato lol. i didnt taste much smoke 4/5 carrot cake - so many layers!! quite moist. the drinks were good (can't remember what I got anymore though) but the real stand out was the food. *we originally wanted the coconut cake bc so many reviews were raving about it. the family at the table over were regulars and said all the cakes are good but 2/3 of them said the coconut cake was their fav and the other said chocolate cake was their's (she said she's a big fan of chocolate). -- I came back for the chocolate cake another day and had it with my partner who LOVES chocolate. i dont usually prefer chocolate flavored things but my god this is THE best chocolate cake i've ever had. its really so so good. its moist and rich without being overwhelmingly chocolate. its just right and not too sweet. i will go back for their coconut cake. Super Nice Pizza is the offshoot of the adjacent donut shop, applying the same dough techniques towards pizza. The pies are vaguely Neapolitan with a slight but not extremely pronounced chew. We tried a variety with potato and onions, as well as a classic margherita. Both were quite good, although I'm not sure why they keep such a limited set of options on the brunch menu. Really cute spot! Snagged a last min 8:30 reservation on a Friday evening, which was nice. Nice atmosphere with the ambient lighting and decor. Decent amount of bar seating as well as small tables which looked like they could configure to accommodate different group sizes. A moment for the (non alcoholic) Super Nice Tonic! This was really lovely. Believe it was house made lemonade, juniper berry, tonic water, and I watched them grate fresh nutmeg over the top. I came here with two former colleagues to catch up over a meal. One of them came here the week before and really enjoyed her burger. The restaurant is in a cute and cozy space with exposed brick walls. Even though it's cozy, they can accommodate groups and they have a bar area. One of us ordered the calamari which came with cherry peppers. We enjoyed it--it was lightly breaded and not too oily. The cherry peppers were a nice addition. For our entrees, I ordered the burger and requested cherry peppers to be added--I like a little kick. Another person ordered the same except without cheese or house sauce. The third colleague ordered the skirt steak which came with potatoes and sautéed greens. She loved the chimichurri sauce but thought the potatoes were bland. For drinks, two of us ordered amaretto sour (not on the menu) and the last one ordered the espresso martini. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. I hadn't had an amaretto sour in about a month of Sundays so it was nice to have. One of us initially ordered a cosmo but the restaurant didn't have cranberry juice just the bitters--it wasn't working for her. We didn't get dessert. The service was good overall. There was a bit of an issue when paying the bill. One of us was trying to redeem a credit and asked the server what does she need to do. She said it will ask for her email address and use the same card that she used last time. It didn't ask for her email address and she used the same card. By this point, the card was already used and the credit would expire on 1/31 (we went on 1/30). The server was kind of like "oh well." My friend was not having it. She asked to speak to the manager/owner. He was able to get it all sorted out. The manager was very hands on and listened to the suggestions of patrons. I absolutely love this place, and since they've just started offering brunch, we had to make a reservation. Everything was -- no surprise -- stellar. The breakfast pizza (we had the potato and egg one) and the pancakes were exceptional. Went for my birthday because it came highly recommended by good friends. The meatballs are perfect with a slightly sweet sauce. The pizza was the best I have had in a long time. Certainly the best i have had anywhere on or near the UWS. Crust is slightly charred and crispy. Light with the perfect crunch and flavor. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce. I made a reservation as soon as I saw a photo of their chocolate cake, lol. It wasn't hard to book via Tock. The space is modern yet casual and feels like a neighborhood spot. We shared the meatballs, eggplant pie, and clam pie between two of us. We loved both pies - the dough was soft and chewy. I really liked the acidity of the meatball sauce. The pies are on the smaller side (6 slices each) but we still ended up with leftovers. The chocolate cake was even bigger than I'd imagined but SO good and decadent. I think it had both chocolate mousse and frosting. Service was super friendly but kinda slow. I'm assuming they're still figuring things out. We came here with friends who live in the neighborhood, and had a lovely time! Great food, friendly service, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere. I'm a fan of Super Nice's coffee shop so I'd been looking forward to trying their pizza place. It surpassed my expectations! The mozzarella with roasted peppers was a great appetizer. We were a party of three so we split two pies and had a few slices to take home. We had the red sauce eggplant pie and white sauce zucchini pie. Both were delicious. We split the chocolate cake for dessert which was huge but also tasty. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the servers are friendly. I was excited to try out Super Nice Pizza that had just opened up next to their UWS donut shop. Their menu is pretty extensive, offering salads, small plates, and various pies. We ordered: +the Little Gem Salad - prepared with rainbow radish, buttermilk dill dressing, and herbed breadcrumbs +the Potato Pie +the Mushroom Pie +the Pepperoni Pie Price point was more on the steep end, and we didn't feel it matched what we were receiving. Service was more of a miss, as it seems as if they were pretty overwhelmed. Patrons seem to enjoy their chocolate cake and their tiramisu, but you could always check out their dessert offerings next door. Rarely write reviews but couldn't resist giving this place some love, especially when it felt like a slice of the village in west harlem--amazing vibes, cozy interior, great staff/service, and DELICIOUS food! Full-belly fried clams--they'll be my only craving all summer. A must order. Squash blossoms--delicately fried with deliciously creamy ricotta. Pepperoni pizza--perfect crust and pepperoni-to-sauce ratio. Wish we lived closer to order it weekly when cravings hit! My fav!!! Came for the pizza but found the burger to be my favorite item. It could use a bit of a aioli or more of the house sauce (I didn't really taste it) but still very good. Service was good even though we made a reservation but you're not guaranteed a table and may be seated at the bar. We ended up sitting a the bar for a few minutes before getting a table. The pizza was average pizza and cost $23 for a pretty small pie. The burger cost $23 and comes with fries. Fries were well seasoned. We ended up getting the chocolate cake which is a huge slice for $22 with a side of gelato for another $9. I found the total to be steep for what we got. read more

Okay here's my brutally honest review. I was so excited for this opening because I love the donut spot and have been here for pizza twice in the past 2/3 weeks. And both times were honestly a miss. The first time we went we came on a reservation and spent the first 40 minutes at the bar because they were overwhelmed, which is understandable for a new restaurant. Clam pie was good but they ran out of clams for the top. Sausage pie was decent but again I think it was just decent. Sauce didn't stand out to me Meatballs weren't as flavorful as they could've been or juicy. The second time I visited, last night, we again went on a reservation and were told they might have to seat us at the bar. Hostess was also pretty abrupt with us for arriving 5 min past the reservation time which was weird to me given that every single reservation time slot was available for that night and I had made the reservation an hour earlier. Throughout dinner there were people crowded/standing by the door and it's clear they overbook reservations in some capacity. Probably kinks that need to be worked out. The wrong pie came to our table but they corrected it when informed. Clam pie was again very good but the bottom crust was soaked in clam juice this time and floppy. Eggplant pie was extremely under seasoned sadly. The whipped ricotta was delicious and the chocolate cake was again lovely. Service both times has been pretty unimpressive and quite slow. In the middle of our meal ln the hostess joined our table with a second empty one and then 20 minutes later pulled them apart? By the end of my second visit there was so much smoke built up in the room my eyes were burning. I do have sensitive eyes but I'm not sure the ventilation was enough. I hate to be this brutal but I'm holding this place to the same lense I would any other restaurant. Waited to visit twice to form an opinion. Super Disappointing (this time - stars relate only to this visit) Having enjoyed meals at Super Nice Pizza, was looking forward to a Saturday evening birthday dinner with a friend. On arrival for our 7PM reservation we were told that we could either eat at the bar or wait at the bar for some significant period of time for a table because all the tables were reserved for parties of four or more. A couple nearby indicated that they had been told the same thing and were waiting for a table. We were advised that we should have noticed that the website indicates that parties of two may be seated at the bar on Fridays and Saturdays due to space limitations. Would much prefer if the restaurant had not accepted the reservation and indicated that walk-ins would be seated if possible. If you go, beware that a reservation only means that you can buy a meal, not that you will be seated at a table (currently the website does not limit the size of the reserved party that may be seated at the bar or the days on which that may occur). Enjoyed dinner at Serafina a few blocks away. read more

Quickly becoming my neighborhood go-to! Creatively topped pizza is always wonderful. Last night's chimichuri skirt steak with roasted potatoes and broccoli di rape was out of this world. Always a great selection of beers on hand. Topping everything off was an inspired home made ice cream sandwich that combined unusual flavors deliciously. Our server was charming and attentive. Good food. Pizza is obviously the go to dish, but I've had other things on the menu and those were very good as well. Particularly the desserts. My only complaint was the service. This isn't the west village or Williamsburg so the servers don't have to have an attitude. I decided to go there on an impulse when my favorite happy hour place was packed. Went into a nearly empty restaurant and wanted to sit at the completely empty bar. After the hostess made a questionably derisive comment about my T-shirt (vintage black rock and roll 70´'s band) the waitress told me that the only available seat was at the end of the bar by the kitchen. If that had been the only seat at the bar I would have been fine. But after me others came in and sat at other, more desirable bar seats without any problem. This is a not-to-miss spot on the north end of the upper west side. Everything was fantastic, from the greeting when we walked in to the pizza, cocktails, and desert. Pizza was fresh, crust was on point and ingredient combos were original without being crazy. Hats off to Daniel and his crew for creating a warm neighborhood spot with creative and quality fare for all. It's small, so a res might be a good idea if they take them. I have been going to Super Nice for donuts as long as I've lived on the UWS (they're incredible!) and I was so excited to see their new pizza spot. Took the homies to dry it out, and it did not disappoint! The interior was beautiful and brooding, and the service was top notch. The pizzas were nice and artisanal, we really enjoyed the eggplant ricotta and the little piece of radish we got as a palate cleanser before our meal. Love this new addition to the neighborhood!! The vibe and ambiance are great but the pizza is exceptional! Totally rivals any of the best pizza in the city (I liked it better than Una Pizza Napoletana). Good service, too. I finally got to try one of the breakfast burritos this morning and, while I'm thrilled to finally have a good breakfast burrito in the area, it's way too expensive. Without any meat (and little to no salsa that I could see), this shouldn't cost more than $10-12 tops. Definitely not worth the $19 I paid... Donuts next door are also fantastic! But all around a great place that I will be visiting regularly! read more

Been multiple times. Space is sweet, warm, and cozy, but not "cute." Every pizza I've tried has been great, with mushroom and chorizo special as standouts. Staff is super attentive (but not too much). One of my Upper West Side "go-to's" for sure. What started as an unassuming night out with my partner turned into my favorite restaurant experience of the last few years. Although offered a table we opted to sit at the bar. The food was delicious and well prepared. We had fennel salad and little gem salad both with different but delicate dressings, gazpacho and a sausage pizza all excellent on their own and easy on the salt. We watched incredible well prepared food be served from our view and generous portions of cake go by so decided to order dessert and opted for the ice cream sandwich (coffee and cardamom) We enjoyed the cocktails that Zach made and know we will be back frequently again. My favorite new place and glad it's in the hood ...it reminds me of lot of what my old West Village neighborhood used to offer incredible food and an unassuming down to earth vibe with no pretension. This charming restaurant is a great addition to the neighborhood. We celebrated a birthday in this warm & inviting space. The pizza is outstanding, having perfected the crust and lots of interesting toppings. In addition we had the zucchini flowers delicately stuffed with a light cheese and a citrus hint. Meatballs, fish & chips ( unexpectedly delicious) all coupled with great cocktails and a seasonal shrub for our non drinking guest. The desserts were the piece de resistance. The towering chocolate cake would have been enough but we squeezed in a tiramisu AND strawberry shortcake.
