    Dinner! Sunday March 15, 2026
    Tod K.

Sunday March 15, 2026. We came here for dinner on a Sunday. Metered street parking or they a have a small private parking lot. It was empty inside at the time we came here. We ordered and the food came out shortly after one by one. Food is still the same good taste like before. Just the prices is higher like every place else. Ambiance is casual and comfortable as they renovated the inside a while back. Looks like except for the blue ceiling or I could be wrong. Lol. This was the old Tanoue's Saimin from what I remember. We will be back again.

Again!! They take care of you with the best beef course meal!! Fast and attentive. The music is light but they just re decorated! So pretty and inviting!!

Excellent beef. 7 course beef recommended for parties. Stone pot fish, savory tender and the sauce is perfect with rice. Will eat again.

Nice casual ambience restaurant serving good food, good service, and at a reasonable price. Been coming here for years and they've always been consistently good. Strongly recommend checking them out.

When I am in Kapahulu this is my go to Pho spot. Reliable flavors and good amount of food. Their oxtail pho is also really good. Service can be a little slow at times but usually quick for lunch time.

Located on Waialae Ave, with parking in the back of restaurant. I had the combination sandwich the bread was nice and crispy and soft inside which was very good, but the meat was a long piece running throughout the sandwich which make it hard to eat because when you bite into it the whole piece of meat starts to come out, other than that the sandwich had fresh vegetables and fresh jalapeño peppers which was great. The sandwich could use a little bite more flavor. My wife had the Tendon Pho which was very good and the chucks on tendon were large and cooked right and the soup stock also was very good. The summer roll was good and the peanut sauce was tasty. The restroom is outside of the restaurant, you need to go around the building on the parking lot area and you also need a key for the men and women's restroom. There is no wheelchair ramp, so you need to go up 1-2 steps and take your wheelchair inside.

We walk past super pho at least two times a week and finally stopped in on a search for pho on a chilly January evening. The restaurant was busy, but the servers attentive, filling our water frequently and taking our order within minutes of being seated. They're a cute, family owned establishment with a nice variety of menu items for both meat eaters and animal lovers alike, at prices comparable to most Vietnamese restaurants in the area. My honey and I ordered the combination pho, and spring rolls, which were plenty to feed two. Everyone else in the restaurant was walking out with takeout boxes, so all the dishes were generously sized. Word of caution, they do sprinkle peanuts on a few dishes, especially the dry appetizers/mains so if you have an allergy, be sure to check first!

Loved our experience at Super Pho on Waialae. The parking was located right behind the building and easy to find. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant that was really welcoming and bright inside. Nice large room with lots of seating. We were greeted quickly and the staff were really nice and gave up great tips. These meals are huge! Full of flavor and tons of ingredients. There's so much to choose from so we will definitely have to come back and try more. The crab meat soup was piping hot and had so much lovely crab flavor and filled with meat. I liked that you could add your own spices and vegetables too. The crepe was unique and cooled really well. I liked that the egg was a little crispy and you would eat it up with the lettuce wraps and herb and vegetables filling. So good.

Friendly and clean environment. The parking lot in rear is limited, so you will probably have to find street parking. The beef salad needed to be cooked a little bit more (the beef) because it was just too raw for salad. Maybe it would be ok in pho since the hot soup will cook it more. I asked to cook it a bit more and they did. The spring rolls were good and had more in it than other places I've been too.

The meats, cheese, and vegetables were all fresh, tasty, and clearly high quality. The sandwich itself was satisfying, but it was missing one thing: flavor from seasoning. Everything tasted fresh, yet somewhat bland because there was little to no seasoning to bring the ingredients together. My biggest disappointment was the bread. Growing up with Capriotti's back in Delaware, the rolls were a huge part of what made the sandwiches special. The rolls at this location just aren't the same. They're soft and remind me more of the standard hoagie rolls you can pick up at a supermarket rather than the distinctive rolls I remember from back home. Overall, the ingredients are fresh and the service was good, but the lack of seasoning and the difference in the bread keep this from being the Capriotti's experience I was hoping for. Not a bad sandwich by any means, just not quite what I remember from Delaware. This version comes across as fair and balanced while clearly explaining why you landed at 3 out of 5 stars.

Since it was their anniversary on Sunday, also got their celebratory funfetti cupcake which also like their baked goods did not disappoint. The croissant base of many of their pastries is flaky. When fresh it crunches with every bite that you take. This time around we had the cinnamon roll, mango danish which had a chocolate mochi filling, and their char siu bun. It's such a neat take to have char siu in a croissant. We are used to having it in the doughy bao bread but in a croissant, savory with a crunchy outside tastes so much better. I love sweet but this one wasn't overly sweet, who would have thought that mango and chocolate pair so well together. It's the summer months, fresh mango on pastries. It was the perfect ripeness. For the cinnamon roll, you honestly cannot forget get their cinnamon roll...It's flaky and again the frosting is not overly sweet. Can't wait to get another box of their pastries again soon.

I did notice what was open along with the street parking right in front of the restaurant. Walking in was interesting to see how spacious the space was where they do have a few seating but is nice and clean and right beside the service counter is the huge menu listing the various sandwiches. Not feeling much for meat I decided on their "Veggie Tofu Sandwich" which comes with all the classic cucumber, pickled daikon and carrots, cilantro and mayo but what's not basic is the sunrise egg which I didn't want as the tofu is enough for me but what a load of veggies it came with as I don't do cilantro but mom did so she had the load and love the generous portion as this single sandwich was totally shareable. The crunch of the cake really gives it the extra texture that it needs in addition to the denseness of the cake itself. The cake base reminded me a bit of a light pound cake - pretty good. The blueberry scone is also extremely famous here and I was able to nab the last few when it was nearing closing time. Their blueberry scone is huge keep that in mind LOL.
