I lived near this sub spot for over 25 years and never stopped in, what a mistake! The moment I stepped in I was warmly greeted by the staff. I mentioned to the nice miss taking my order that it was my first time coming. She was very polite in explaining us the menu and gave us some recommendations. I also found out she is the owner and the daughter of the original owners. The sandwich was delicious and humongous, two people can definitely eat from one sandwich. Obviously something has changed. I went for a quick sub and found 2 employees that I had never seen before. I specifically asked of there was a new owner and they said no. I asked for a chicken sub with lettuce, tomato and cheese. The entire experience was a mess. There were only two customers and the two employees messed up both orders and were defensive about it. My sandwich was literally tasteless. The chicken had no flavor; not even a pinch of salt. The bread did not appear fresh as it was crumbling and overall it was not terrible. I love the bacon cheese burger sub from here. Freshly made and a large sub. The place is a bit small to be able to sit down and eat if you're in a group but the subs are so good it's definitely worth it. I'm working close by currently and I've been here 4 times in the past 2 weeks. I would recommend this place to everyone. They have all types of subs and also salads. Found this place on yelp looking for a philly cheese steak close to my job and after spending an hour looking I figured since this place was 6 minutes away it wouldn't hurt to go try and see. The lady taking the orders was so sweet and very polite. She does talk fast but coming from Colorado I'm use to it. The food was amazing, if I could give a 10 star rating I would. The food isn't greasy , the amount of food you get for the price is well worth it. Normally for 2 we spend $30.00 to $40.00 but here for two 12 inch subs, fry and drink we spent $25.00. This place doesn't look like a great place to work. I have seen how the owners mistreat their employees, bad mouthing them, giving condescending looks of disgust as if they are superior! I once saw them throw away a whole sub because the order was wrong and threw the sub away in the thrash! how do you not provide for your employees!? no consideration. They definitely need someone from the labor department to give them a visit. The subs aren't all that great anyway. The bread tastes cheap and dry. The food although good portions is ok at best and on a good day when the owners decide to or when they are in a "good mood". Been here before when I visited Miami have had subs at many places such as Quiznos,Miami Subs,Subway and Publix. Even though this establishment is not available in Miami I had heard good things about it and wanted to check it out,there subs are good but not the best why ? There bread Is not that great or there meats like at Publix were the meats are cut fresh daily and you can even have specialty subs made for you. Good place to eat at in Miami if you want to stay away from big sub establishments like Subway etc. but I will stick with Publix, much quicker and less wait plus I also did not like that there was not much seating available. Over all three stars for beating other business as far as quality and costumer service,In my book this place almost beats all the competition..almost!
