Pollo Asado Burrito, Cheeseburger delux, 3 pollo tacos and sopes
    Bret S.

I passed a Mexican taco truck and they had a dish called sopes con carne. I'm very hesitant on ordering food on trucks. I was seriously craving Mexican food as i have not had it in years. So i searched Grubhub and found this little place called Super Taco. I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait till I have to order it again. My son is not adventurous like his daddy and he stuck with the cheeseburger. I asked him how he liked it and said it was very tasty. I also ordered 3 pollo tacos (soft shell) and I accidentally ordered a Pollo Asado Burrito. I did not pig out and eat all 3 dishes in one sitting, lol. I took to work and shared the burrito with my older son. Overall this will be my go to place for Mexican cuisine. Price is good, imo and they didn't even charge extra for the cheeseburger deluxe. If you're ever in the area I highly recommend trying this place out.                                             Pollo Asado Burrito

This place was such a disappointment! My wife wanted to try it for a while and when she finally decided to try it she only ordered a chicken salad to begin with they took forever to make it and the chicken smelled and tasted like fish from bad seasoning to possibly dirty grill , placed looked dirty and unorganized inside the salad wasn't even tasty the only cut a green lime In 1/2 and the have any type of dressings or anything the salad had huge badly cut pieces of white onion ,radish , cucumber, and plum tomatoes. The chicken was cut in long strips and just placed hot on top making the lettuce hot and soggy. Not to say they charged $13 smh. Never again.

Very good first experience. I ordered a cemita with carne, elotes and a cheeseburger deluxe... to place it safe in case the cemita wasn't good. There's nothing worse than ordering from a new place and not being pleased but pleased I was! The cemita bread was fresh even though I ordered late (7:30pm), it was filled with fresh lettuce, onion, tomato, jalapeños and Mexican queso blanco. The elote was ok.. wasn't very juicy but satisfactory. & just because the cheeseburger looked so good I saved half my cemita, and gave that a go. (Summers over anyway) The cheese burger was made with fresh meat, not frozen patty and wow it was great! Side perks I asked for extra sour cream because I am a sour cream freak & they gave me a coffee cup worth perfect! & extra napkins was also a huge plus for me. Delivery was prompt and the delivery guy was nice. I will be ordering again!

    Carne Asada, Chorizo, Carne Enchilada

This baja californian expat feels nostalgia at this authentic Mexican spot in the neighborhood. Menu items made fresh! Tacos were very good. Chorizo was salty, great to pair with the carne asada. Plenty of seafood options (shrimp and fish) on the menu. No fish tacos tho. Chill place. Run by nice folks. Good place to meet up with friends. Right across the street from Kings Highway (N) station entrance and in front of B82 bus stops.

Carnitas Tacos. They come in a set of three with sliced radishes and lime wedges.

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the tacos were delicious! I ordered the carnitas tacos, loved the flavor of the pork, just enough spices, onions, and fresh cilantro to give it flavor and really tender. The red salsa had a lovely smokey flavor that I enjoyed as well.

I was in the mood for Mexican food and stumbled upon this place while searching through Seamless. The delivery guy came quick but unbeknownst to me, he called and said he doesn't know how to get to the 2nd floor of my company so I came outside. Anyway, the food was absolutely delicious and the portion size was very large. I ordered the steak with beans (no rice, extra beans). After having 2 large cuts of steak and thinking that there were just beans left over, much to my surprise, there were 2 more large cuts of steak underneath the beans. Super full and happy!

Order these tacos on seamless. I really didn't expect fresh great tacos because I requested them through delivery. But I did expect it to look like a taco. Instead, I got this. (I requested for no cilantro, so I just got a slob of oily, shredded chicken on a corn tortilla.)

Perfect to-go wrapping. Deff a big plus.

But if you're looking for some excellent, straight forward, wonderfully crafted simplicity, this is in your wheelhouse. A quesadilla is a quesadilla, a hamburger a hamburger. Sounds boring? Not when your hamburger and quesadilla are amongst the best you've ever had at any diner, anywhere. Our waitress was very nice and allowed us to dine, unbothered. We ordered a fresh fruit platter for dessert. It included watermelon, mango, grapes, apples, strawberries, etc. very nice, well presented. The dining area certainly belies what happens in that kitchen behind the door. I'll be back to try some more simple, but excellent food.

This spot has a handful of tables and while we were there, quite a few to-go orders were picked up as well. Though we were the only diners, so I assume it's more of a breakfast/brunch spot. The menu is rather expansive with options from breakfast to lunch and dinner. After studying the menu, we opted for the Veggie Burger and the Meatball Parm Po'Boy. Our food was ready in about 20 minutes, which seemed a little long as we were the only diners, but we were not in a rush so it was fine. As the restaurant was unassuming, I honestly had pretty low expectations, but we both really enjoyed our meals. It was definitely large portions and really flavorful. My fiance said the Meatball Parm Po'Boy was delicious and I appreciated that the veggie burger seemed to be made in house as it was falling apart (in a good way) and you could distinguish some of the veggies. I ended up only eating about half of my burger and took the rest for lunch the next day and it held up well.

And sadly, this is one. Sustainable packaging is great until it's not. Sub the scrambled eggs were melting into the box when they arrived. And had they arrived a moment later, they would have seeped through the box. Fine. I'll just get them out of the box, onto a real play. Ha. They must have been added to the box while they were fresh off a hot pan. A good amount was welded to the box. Annoying, but fine. And then the brew arrived without sugar or (paid for) oat milk. They hate me. It's ok, I'll just drink it black. And that's where 2 stars get knocked off. Worst tasting coffee ever. Cold brew is supposed to be smooth, with very little acid. This was extremely sour! As if it was made previously and had been sitting around for a couple of days. It took me a minute to realize how bad it was. And suffering as a result. Intense stomach pains and tummy issues. From coffee. Smh. I will probably eat there, in person. But I will never trust their cold brew again. Or delivery.

While they have all the traditional breakfast fare, I was so happy to see it also had a Caribbean twist to it. I couldn't help myself--I had to order rice and beans with pernil (pork shoulder) and a side of sweet plantains. Of course, I wanted some actual breakfast items, so we got the French toast loaded with fruit. We also got both the tres and quatro golpes, which is a traditional Dominican breakfast. Lastly, we got a Caribbean omelet. My rice and pernil was solid. The rice could've used a tad bit more seasoning but when mixed with the side of beans and plantains plus a drizzle of hot sauce it was perfect. They had a variety of sauces--Tabasco (my fave), a Jamaican one that was super spicy, and a mild homemade one. The tres/quatro golpes was also a hearty choice with mangu (mashed plantain), sausage, fried cheese, and eggs. The pickled red onion balanced everything out. The fried cheese is similar to a halloumi but I think it's a bit more flavorful. All the flavors just melt together in your mouth perfectly. The French toast and omelet were good. I'd say the Caribbean items stole the show though. The place has a typical diner vibe and is on the small side. Food was served quickly and service was good. Discount if you pay in cash. Apparently there is more than one location in Manhattan. The inside reminded me of a classic diner. Comfy and with a pretty cool vibe. We all slid into a booth and looked over the seasonal offerings along with their standard menu. I was lured by the chicken Kyiv based on the picture of having two rolled up chicken cutlets stuffed with dill and other yumminess, but was a bit disappointment when it arrived with a single small cutlet on my plate with two heaping mounds of potatoes mash and broccoli. I instantly had regret when I should have gotten the borscht soup with pierogies, but wanted to try something I wouldn't usually. I should've stuck to what was safe. My work mom got the stuffed cabbage and that was a clear homerun- really loved the mushroom gravy that it came with. My other colleague got the potato pancake and wasn't too thrilled with it, while my boss got the two Swedish meatballs that he described to be Ikea worthy. Although this was my first time here, I can't say that anyone really loved the food nor would come out of their way to come back. I really was hoping this would have wow-ed me in some way, but I guess I'll stick to what's familiar.
