I ordered a super burrito with carne asada and forgot to ask for no beans ( I don't mind them, but don't usually want them if I can choose not have to get them). In hindsight, I'm glad I didn't ask for no beans because if I did, it would probably be more like a quesedilla (that was how much meat and avocado was in there). I was disappointed when I tried to order a street taco with lengua. It's the only way I like lengua and I was told they couldn't do it but I could get a regular/super taco with lengua.. when I asked why the cashier said she didn't know? Really? - For the past couple years, my mom & I use to come here very often, almost every couple weekends when we went to Fremont to run some errands. My mom & I usually got the same order; the carne asada tacos or the fish burrito which was great expect for sometimes the rice was still a bit dry to consider to be uncooked but it's okay because I went back & told them & they always made a better one. I grew up to Fremont 10+ years living only a couple of blocks from Super Taco. As a kid I always remembered riding my bike to this joint to grab a burrito and boy was it good in those days! But just recently I decided walk down memory lane and try this place again after so many years on a Sunday night. I didn't want to eat anything jumbo at night, so I ordered 4 carne asada tacos and it was... disappointing. The tortillas were all wet and damp, I couldn't hold up the fillings in the center because the tortilla was melting off. The meat was a bit oily, and just everything completely mushed into something I couldn't hold up anymore. And just for notes, I ate this right when I received it; so there shouldn't be a reason why everything is soaked thru. Maybe I've been spoiled with all of the other mexican/ burrito restaurants away from Fremont or maybe it was a bad night for them to be serving food I don't know... Maybe I will give this place another try on another day and hopefully it'll jot me back down on memory lane. Until then, I'm still a bit traumatized from my most recent experience and am not sure if I have the courage to come back even if the prices are pretty good. read more

I adore this place---best quick burritos in the area. Their portions are good (I got the junior burrito and was satisfied) but not over-the-top large, and their ingredients are delicious! I am a big fan of their shredded chicken, with beans, cheese, avocado (fresh avocado slices generously stuffed into the burrito..mmm), and loads of their spicy red sauce. All for about $6. Pretty good taco place in the middle of nowhere lol. I wanted to treat myself so I got a Lengua taco and carne asada super burrito. The lengua taco was alright, they definitely give you a generous portion and the meat is very tender, but I found some lacking in flavor. However, the burrito was excellent! Very flavorful and generous with the more "expensive" ingredients like the meat and the avocado. We also got chips and salsa, but I found the salsa to be a little sweet for my liking. Hands down, my favorite place to get burritos in Fremont. I've been coming here for years, coming hungry and leaving fully satisfied and ready for a nap. I don't really have anything against the other places, I just like how Supertaco is close to where I work and it's cheap. 5 bucks for a super burrito! (with avocado!) The super burritos come with beans too, so if you don't like beans you can opt out for rice instead. I can't really say much about whatever else is sold there, because the burritos are just too darn good. The green sauce they give is awesome; spicy, yet it does not overpower the food. The place itself isn't the fanciest of places, but from my experience, the shabbier the place the tastier the food! They always soccer on the television, so I'm not complaining. Cash Only! Well, first all I must point out that I am in fact a white girl. Hold your breath, it's true. And, therefore, I am not only addicted to Mexican food but I am simply and easily satiated. Not this time. My food had zero taste. None. Tried 2 pork tacos and a grilled chicken burrito. Neither of them had any flavor with the exception of the fresh 'cado in my burrito. This is where the green sauce comes in... Yes, you need it with everything. It is the only flavor of the meal but, in the immortal words of Mr Ralphie Wiggum, it makes everything tastes like burning. What is all the hype about...? Their super burrito is okay, I should have checked with Yelp first and got half rice, half been, but it was pretty good and a good size. I have no idea why people love the green sauce, I read review after review about this sauce and I just didn't get it. It's spicy.......but that's about it. I didn't think it had any taste as all. The carne asada here is deliciously tender and juicy. I also absolutely love their salsa. I always ask for extra and the workers are usually very friendly and give me 1-2 extra cups. The super burrito is a pretty good bang for your buck, and I can almost never finish the massive bundle of goodness. Super Taco's "famous" green sauce is much less heavy than other taquerias' "famous" sauces, but I think it's just as good, if not better. I always get the carne asada super junior burrito with half beans and half rice. So with all this positive feedback, why the missing star? As a San Diegan, I can't help being a little bit more picky about my Mexican food, but compared to most Mexican places in Fremont, Super Taco definitely deserves five stars. read more

Ordered a couple of fish tacos here and it was flavorless. Even when i added Tapatio, it was so bland, absolutely no taste whatsoever. Also ordered the fish burrito, and there were like 2 pieces of fish. The tacos came with more fish. They need to season their fish properly. Will not come here again. This place is incredible. I had a veggie burrito. The tortilla was very soft and thin and almost melts in your mouth. The beans, avocado and other vegetables were impeccable. I want to give this place 3.5 stars. The food is really good! The meat is superb (ESPECIALLY the pollo asado and pastor). This is the only place I know that puts fresh avocado slices in their burritos which is a major plus!! MAKE SURE that you ask for half rice, half beans when you order a burrito, because if you don't, you will get all beans, which means you will end up with a burrito that is all watery and stuff, and it really ruins the taste. The burritos are decent in size, nothing compared to the taco truck across the street or Chipotle though The quesodillas here are not worth trying however, I was very disappointed by them. People always take about the green sauce at this place, however I didn't find it to be that appealing, I actually thought that the red sauce was much more enjoyable. For those who do not like anything spicy, you can ask them to give you some salsa fresca on the side, which I found to be AMAZING!! The restaurant itself, has a good number of seats, and the employees are fairly friendly, although they do seem like they wish they could be elsewhere. The place itself is also pretty clean, every now and then you'll run into a table that has some gunk on it, oh well... I really hate that this place doesn't take credit credits, they lose a star cuz of it.... The first time I came here was back in high school, many many years ago. Back then, my only experience with Mexican food was Taco Bell and Rubio's. At the time, this blew it out of the water (granted, not hard to do). However, after my taste in Mexican food had been refined considerably (thank you very much Berkeley and San Jose), this place is still one of my favorites. They don't drench their super burrito in a bunch of sour cream or fill the whole thing with a ton of beans to skimp on the meat. I love their green sauce (it's some tomatillo thing but it's kind of creamy), which has a nice kick to it and tastes great. Best of all, somehow their prices have dropped since when I first came (or maybe I've just become too accustomed to shelling out $6-7 for a decent burrito). This place is great for a quick burrito and chips. I usually stop by here after the gym or when I'm with friends and we need something quick to eat. I always get the Carne Asada Burito with rice instead of beans; along with a side of chips. Sometimes the burrito gets a little bland, so chips are great. The chips have great texture and the pico de gallo is good. AND GREEN SAUCE. The green sauce is great on everything. I've tried the quesadillas, but to be honest they weren't that amazing. CASH ONLY. For a while I only rolled around with my debit card, and I would be disappointed every time I came here and realized I had no cash. I really didn't want to have to pay the ATM fee and the fee that my bank charges on top of that for using different ATMs. So that is one downside. If you intend on ordering a burrito, you MUST always ask for NO BEANS...i don't know, just something about those beans, maybe their too fresh or they cook them too long, but the texture is just so...beany? They maintain their bean structure but are incredibly mushy at the same time...they simply break the burrito for me. However, if you must have beans, so be it, you have been warned. So, no beans (unless your a bean fiend), just rice and whatever else that comes in their burrito. I usually get the carne asada burrito; their steak is generously seasoned and tender. I've also tried their grilled chicken, also very tasty. Their green sauce (chili verde) is pretty good; its nothing to write home about, its no La Vics O-Sauce, but its pretty good.
