This is coming from very picky eaters:) Finally good Mexican tacos!! I went last night with my friend and my daughter. They have a lil outside sitting area but we ate in the truck:) We just tried the basics to make sure we were going to be satisfied. Let me tell youuuu we were definitely satisfied! I got asada and chicken tacos, the meat was perfect alone but topped it with the green and red salsa Omgggg:) the chorizo tacos were also fire. My daughter got the asada burrito and ate it all! The closest I have ever tasted to authentic CDMX street food in the SF Bay Area is this place. I live in Sunnyvale and I willingly drive to Fremont just have a tlacoyo with suadero meat and nopales. I'm retracting my review. I went a couple days ago and my experience was horrific. Again, one has to speak Spanish to get better service, except in my case.Everything was fine when I was ordering in Spanish until everything went wrong. We have been there several times over the years. The employees that evening were new. The man behind the counter started speaking English to me once I stated their errors. I was very calm. I found them misogynistic with a bit of racism. I'm white and a woman, but I'm South American, fluent in Spanish and English. They couldn't get the order right and they overcharged me for everything. I pointed it out that it is illegal to overcharge once a price is posted. They told me to take it up with the owner and that the owner told them to charge those prices. The very few customers waiting were listening and started checking their receipts. To the owner, make sure you have employees you trust and update your prices on your menu. You just can't make up prices. The issue is there is a posted price and you overcharged every item. I can't believe I spent $15 (posted as $3.75-$4.75)for two Agua Fresca's. I received one large and one small, I ordered two large .Don't get me started with the rest of the order, everything else was overcharged by$1.00-$2.00 as well. I pointed that out to the men working. They left the window and started laughing at me. I could hear them and I understood everything they were saying. Very disappointing. You have to charge the prices that are posted. You can't make them up. It's illegal! I ended up paying $18 more than I should have. I didn't turn you into Better Business Bureau, you're lucky. Also, my receipt didn't match up what you passed through on my ATM account. If you go to this establishment, check your receipts and make sure your order is right. I am now going to venture out and try other taco trucks. I most likely won't return because of this experience. You went from a four star to a one star quickly. read more

I haven't been back to this truck since Covid started. I use to love their Al pastor. After a couple of years I decided to come back. The Al pastor is still very good, just wish it had pineapple pieces. The salsa verde is very tasty. The chicken was a bit bland. I will be back for more Al pastor. read more

I have had a few people tell me to try this place. First thing if you decide to try it, parking is limited. May have to park and walk a little. I ordered the marinated pork super burrito. A good size burrito and it was very balanced with the flavors. My only issue was I had a few bites that had a little to much sweetness for me, like there was pineapple or something in there. Not my first choice in flavors in a burrito. The rest of the family had Carne Asada tacos and they liked them and said there was very little to no fat mixed in the meat. They had good flavor and would get them again. You have to ask for the salsa and I thought it was really good and so did my family. The staff was very nice and did make me fell the valued my decision to choose them for my meal. I will return, We are very picky with our Mexican food and this place made us happy. read more

Pretty popular yet authentic taco truck. Lines definitely form. And to my surprise, a lot of Doordash pick-ups. I didn't know you could Doordash a food truck, huh... But authentic in terms of very little English spoken here, workers and customers. Authentic in terms of meats offered, suadero, tripas, lengua, cabeza all here. Authentic in terms that Mexican banda music will seranade you through their outdoor speakers as you wait. Authentico. But sometimes authentic doesn't always mean great as well. Sometimes it can be downright poorly executed, or it could be just alright. Which seemed the case here for me, in just a few visits. Lengua Tacos ($3/4*) Decent lengua, very tender but chopped on the smaller side. Really needs salsa to amp it up. Their salsas are good though. Suadero Tacos ($3/4*) Decent rendition, but again more finely chopped than what I'd prefer. When it's chopped too fine, you lose the identity of what you ordered. They also really pack on the raw onions here, like the most I've ever seen from a taqueria. So if you don't have a huge love for a mouthful of raw onions, I'd say for them to cut it back a bit. But if you don't speak Spanish, then you may just be sh%# outa luck. Campechano Tacos ($3/2*) So the menu states these are a mix of suadero and tripas together, in one taco. I've never had this combo before, but I love both meats individually. So I thought this was gonna be a for sure hit. Not so much. Again, it was so chopped that this time (different outing therefore different cook), that it was basically pulverized. Totally couldn't discern if it was suadero or tripas. Actually to me, it tasted and looked like mexican chorizo, right down to the orange/red hue. Now taste wise, it was fine, cuz I actually like chorizo. But since I wanted to taste/feel the chosen meats, but didn't perceive any, gotta knock em a star. Tlacoyos con Pastor ($11/3.5*) Again high expectations here. I love Tlacoyos, which to me are similar if not the same as Huraches. To me, it's a taco on steroids. Imagine getting 3-4X the meat of a taco, then to use a big oval shaped pupusa as the base. Conceptually it's amazing. So here, the thickish masa base is pretty solid. Griddled to order with plenty of oil so it is hot to the touch when you get it, and it bites real tender. Except usually I see a thin spread of some pureed beans to set a base for the toppings, but here, I couldn't detect any beans. Then the Al Pastor that I chose to top, was actually pretty good. They do the shaving off a spit and even garnish with thinly sliced pineapple. Super legit and authentico. So the pork had a great texture, cuz it wasn't further chopped into oblivion. I could totally see and respect the pork texture. But the seasoning for the pastor itself, was super light. So light that it just seemed like a pork shawarma to me, which in certain cultures is an actual oxymoron. So for this, great texture, but so-so flavor. So not sure if I need to come back, as nothing is pulling me to return. But I'm certainly glad that I gave them a whirl. I used to always wonder about the people who line up here. First time going here! Food was good. My main concern was the lady on the register was using what looked like a wet glove while handling my credit card. My main question is wether she used that same glove to handle food, I don't know. Another issue is they charge you a dollar extra if you use a card to pay for your stuff instead of cash. They did wear face mask and do provide a sink for washing hands. Mind you this is a taco truck. With that said, the food here is good. We ordered the supper carne asada burrito. It was on the dry side but still good. El pastor tacos. It had a pineapple twist to the tacos which I found unique. And last was super Nacho Carne Asada. The unique part was the chopped fresh lettuce on the nacho, never had that before. My dissatisfaction was there salsa. Not very Latin to me. The green salsa was lacking any life. Love this spot specifically for al pastor. They have the glorious pork wheel spinning at the window where they'll cut your meat for the taco to order. Pineapple on tacos is a win!! This place has fallen off. They used to make great food here but today I ordered a carne azada super burrito and it was full of pieces of fat and cartilage. I had never been so grossed out in my life. If I ask for a Asada burrito I expect it to have pieces of steak, not fat and cartilage. it's frustrating because I paid 15 bucks for that burrito and it was gross.
