Huy Hoang Nguyen gave us such amazing service. She knew a lot about each of our skin types and made helpful recommendations for moisturizers and vitamin intake. Not once did she try to upsell us. In fact, she gave my boyfriend and I the services she felt would be best for our skin without any extra charge. Terrible! I went in there and kept telling the lady it was my first time doing this type of procedure. She didn't make me sign a waiver or didn't really go over the process. She started SHAVING my eyebrows without even asking me first. I am so upset . My eyebrows looked worse than when i went in. And when she was shaping them they were not similar in length or size. The facial was a joke , the lady hardly touched my skin. It was less than an hour ( started late and finished early) She tried to sell me the micro blading but I didn't want that. She basically shaved my face !!!!!! With a razor ( it took her around 10 second ) and then put a mask ( ones you can buy from Walmart or Amazon !!!) on my face and put me under a light for around 40 minutes. She was not even in the room the whole time! She didn't even sit behind my head. ( why would she if she didn't plan to touch my skin !) Then she put a cheap moisturizer on my face and tried with one finger to scrub it on my face. !!! This took her around 10 seconds!!!! Don't waste your time or money here. read more

This is an overdue update review on my experience with Huy-Hoang at Superb Skin Clinic. I've been been going to her for acne facial on a monthly basis for the past two years. My acne has improved but I had acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Huy-Hoang recommended a treatment using the Nanopore Stylus 02. The Nanopore stylus is an electric microneedling device, but unlike traditional needles, these are smaller in size and causes less pain and irritation after treatment. I went thru two treatments before COVID shut down all non-essential businesses in March. Note, traditional microneedling takes 5-10 sessions before one can see a difference. I had two sessions of the above mentioned treatment, and while my scarring wasn't greatly diminished, I did noticed my dilated pores were reduced. I haven't returned to her clinic since March and no longer see this service available on the website, but she may have renamed it. I would recommend this treatment if you're concerned with the pain, irritation, or skin exfoliation of traditional microneedling. However, this process may take a few more sessions to yield the same result. read more

I have gotten a few facials by various estheticians in OC but none compare to Huy. She knows what she is doing. I am definitely seeing improvements with her herbal facials for my acne. I mentioned to her when she ask me what area was I most concerned with and she didn't even touch that area. She isn't the greatest customer friendly person. I rarely write reviews but given my experience I felt the need to share. I purchased a Groupon for a herb facial. It's been 5 hours since my facial and my skin is so inflamed from the product I am unable to even lay on the side of my face. I told the esthetician it was uncomfortable and the products used on my face were irritating my skin and she simply replied that it was part of the process. From a liability perspective, I would advise to inform the clients on what is being used on their skin, prior to applying applying it and then revealing the side effects of it. read more

This woman is Awesome! I go every month for a facial , though she offers many different services (peels, permanent make up ect. ). I have sensitive skin that's prone to redness & break outs (I'm also a Sun lover in my mid 40's). She knows skin like no one else I have seen before. I want to give more stars so bad because I really liked Huy and felt like she really cared about my skin issue I had with syringoma. I explained to her how difficult it's been trying to get rid of it and all the money spent going to different dermatologists. I believed Huy because she was so knowledgeable with my condition and really trusted her ability to help me but unfortunately the treatment never worked. My skin was literally fried and was supposed to scab and fall off however nothing ever happened. It just healed and was still there. Worst experience ever! I decided to visit this place for a facial for my husband and I. We wanted microdermabrasion facials. The owner decided to work on 3 people at the same time my husband , another person and myself. She started with me. Didn't bother putting steam only a red light for 20 mins and then started doing extractions. She came back and said the facial i wanted wasn't a good option instead she would use Nano machine which would be extra but she wasn't going to charge me. She did that for 5 minutes on my cheeks . ( because it benefited her to be done with me fast) That was so painful. My face hurt the rest of the day and was still sensitive the next day. She finish off with a $1 cold mask and left me there for 20 minutes. I heard her running back and forth between my husband and the 2nd person. Both of our facials were done before the hr. Of course she wasn't tip for her half ass job. She was rude she closed the door on us. She thought she deserved a tip. How ridiculous. Don't bother wasting your time, money or energy. I give it 0 stars. Yelp forces you to put at least 1 star. My husband felt the same way. extractions with no steam and then only use one cream after the $1 paper cold mask. I have an amazing review for Superb Skin Clinic. I met Huy Hoang for a collagen infusion treatment and I was very impressed with her professionalism and attention to detail with cleanliness and explanations of what she is doing. At the time I was doing fillers etc but methods that she used microblading and CIT i feel is very superior. I was also looking at my eyelids and how they were drooping. I was thinking about surgery but she mentioned the Plasma pen. Well the treatment is pretty intense and there is swelling but after two treatments my eyelids are wide open and smooth. I purchased a Groupon for a 60 min microdermabrasion. The facial only lasted for about 40. 30 of those minutes I had a mask on... when she performed the extractions she didn't even steam my face prior... I felt like the lack of care and effort was evident. She was a nice, but it was not worth my money. I went home with less than what I paid for and I saw I still had so many clogged pores. read more

I had my eyebrows microbladed by Huy-Hoang back at the beginning of November (sorry for the delayed review) and am so happy with the results! She was so courteous and sweet. She is a stickler for sterile materials which is awesome and is very knowledgeable. She travels the world teaching microblading so she definitely knows what she is doing. I cannot wait to go back for my touch up in a few weeks! You will not regret having microblading done here! Update: Although I still am pleased with Huy-Hoang's work I am super disappointed in her customer service. After having my initial session back in November I was supposed to have a touch up in 6-8 weeks (that was already paid for). I couldn't get an appointment until about 11 weeks later then she cancelled it because the day before my appointment was Chinese New Year. I rescheduled and at midnight the day before my new appointment she called me to cancel again because she was sick. She said she would reschedule me but never did. It's a bummer because I do need the touch up to fill in a couple of places she missed the first time but I'm at this point I don't feel like chasing her down anymore. LOVE THIS PLACE!! Huy Hoang is an absolute angel and has finally been able to make me happier with my skin. The results given from the treatments are long-lasting, and I am able to feel confident once again. Not to mention, she is the sweetest lady I have ever met. Huy is excellent. She is very clean and detail. She knows what she is doing and give her opinions based on her experience. I had micro blading done two months ago, and just finished my touch up today. I was tempted to go darker color for my touch up. Huy gave me her honest opinion that dark color might not fit me as it won't match my normal hair color. I am very glad she's been honest, which I agree. Others might just go what clients want instead what might be the best for the clients. Also, Huy has great customer service. I had to switch twice for my follow up appointments due to some emergency. Huy called/texted me back to reschedule our appointments. She is very busy, but she always responses to my calls or texts. Very satisfy with her service. A "microdermabrasion" by Huy Wong is much more than what you'll ever get at another facility. She starts with a microdermabrasion to " clean" your skin then uses multiple, aromatic cleansers and toners before she starts working her magic. She used so many luxurious products that I stopped counting and just fell into oblivion. Before starting the micro current procedure, she applies a layer of tingling solution which I assume is an enzyme or fruit acid. After 20 minutes or so of massaging the skin with her metallic micro current rods, she applies a mask that feels like velvet. After that, more products and finally a scalp massage and acupressure. I know I left a few things out but overall, an extremely rewarding experience and fabulous looking skin. She is professional, educational, and knowledgeable. Huy-Hoang is amazing. I was misdiagnosed by 3 dermatologist for a skin issue (Syringoma). When she saw me, she knew exactly what I had and after one radio frequency treatment with her, my Syringomas were gone! I should say that prior to meeting her, I saw a 4th strictly medical dermatologist and he had correctly diagnosed me, which is why I trusted her when she told me that had several Syringomas and not just congested skin.
