It was greater than what I expected. Only knew that this place was too 50 best bar in the world (#11) but didn't know that they have plenty others awards in the US and international too. Small but cute and cozy and yet friendly place. Staff are great and friendly. Sat at the bar so I can enjoy their great cocktails. Fantastic to see & listen to the bartenders explained to you each of their signatures drinks and how they make it right in front of you and the cube ice with the logo on it. It is excellent cocktails and I also got their taco plate and it was super yummy. Very tasty, well marinated and just simply delicious. It's a great bar and restaurant with plenty of dishes to try. Will definitely coming back for more when in town.
Good service and ambience. Food and drinks were terrible. If you only like spicy drinks then you'll love the drinks here, but personally not for me. I ordered 4 drinks and they were ALL spicy and not very tasty.
Service was really great, our bartender was so friendly and gave us great recommendations! We came when they opened so it was quiet but heard it's a real party at night time! Salted horchata milk punch - very smooth and very clean drink! It's sweet but not too sweet and has a very light saltiness like it says. I really liked it, it has that creaminess milky taste without any of the feel 4/5 Adobada bam bam - they recently started experimenting with making this in a martiny version way instead of a slushie. It taste tropical and is easy to drink but was nothing special. I'd be happy to drink this most times but at a more specialty cocktail bar, I hope for something more complex and creative. I think it would be slightly better as a slushie. 2.5/5 Fresca tonic - incredibly flavorful and refreshing! It's fruity and still light! Our bartender told us this is his favorite and we really loved this 4.25/5 Vodka y soda - also a much more tastier and elevated take on a vodka sour, our bartender told us this is easily the most popular drink! I love the guava, I feel like it's concentrated at the top of the drink but at the same time every single sip had that yummy and sour guava taste! Not too strong and easy and tasty to drink 4.25/5 (Sample) green mango martini - we got to try a little shot of this before we left so it's prob missing some of the other flavor notes if you get this as a proper cocktail. It's very strong and alcohol forward, not sweet at all but I will give them that it goes down super super smoothly! No burning at all so i feel like it's great quality and if you want to appreciate the alc taste this could be for you. 1.5/5 Happy hour al pastor taco - the meat is a bit dry and I wish there was more meat/ pineapple to fill the taco. Not bad though 2/5
I was pleasantly surprised when I got here that there was a happy hour menu and the server was nice enough to point it out, given I sat down with 7 minutes left. Superbueno was on my list of cocktail bars to try and it did not disappoint. I loved all the drinks I had: mole Negroni, tepache highball and salted horchata milk punch. My date had roughly 7 drinks, so I would say they were good. Space is small, which is expected, bathrooms small and dirty, expected, and food was okay, expected. We had the happy hour tacos, fried fish and carnitas. I was surprised that the carnitas was pretty much a skewer with a tortilla around it. Guatemole and chips were delicious! My favorite kinda flaky tortilla chips. Definitely a good spot to try, just know you're mainly coming for a cool space and the cocktails.
My husband found this cocktail bar through the World's Top 50 bars. We love trying out new cocktail bars whenever we travel, this time NYC. In 2025, Superbueno was #12! We ended up ordering the Green Mango Martini, the Roasted Corn Sour, and sharing the Salted Horchata Milk Punch. I remember thinking these two were good, but now a feel days later I can only recall the roasted corn one with the egg white foam on top. Lastly we shared the Horchata Milk Punch, which was really delicious. The flavor of the almond horchata was just the perfect pairing as a milk punch. It was also really nice, because our bartender Armando actually split the Horchata milk punch into 2 glasses for us. It's supposed to be served in an Old Fashion-type glass, but instead he put it in 2 small coupes, in which he said he actually likes the drink better in that form. I haven't had it before Saturday, but yes this drink was quite amazing! We only got drinks since we had dinner reservations afterward. But the food smelled and looked amazing. Ambiance is lively and fun here, feels like you're in Mexico. It is a fun place to come with friends I'd imagine, but also quite loud from the music. We had made a reservation for a table, but they asked a day prior if we could change to bar seating. This worked fine with us. Our service was phenomenal. We loved our bartender Armando, he was very hospitable. He said he used to work at Katana Kitten a few years back! Anyway, would love to return for the Horchata Milk Punch, and great service, and try their food next time.
We were super disappointed with súper bueno for several reasons: 1. The wait for over an hour even for the bar and you couldn't stand around waiting inside to sip on a drink. 2. The music was great but no one was dancing and they were playing Latino dance music. It felt very gentrified. 3. The drinks were too expensive and were not good. My green mango martini was so strong and all I really tasted was the tequila. The Fresca tonic tastes savory and had an unpleasant aftertaste. 4. We let the staff know we didn't like our drinks and they let us order different ones on the house but when it came to the bill they charged us for all 4 drinks. Overall, we were expecting a lot more for a bar ranked as #2 in the US than what was given/shown.
We went to Superbueno in NYC with a groups of friends and from the second you walk in, you feel like you've escaped into a whole different realm. The yellow-tinted windows make everything glow like you're somewhere sunny and tropical, and the smell of guava, tacos, and tequila instantly pulls you out of the city and into vacation mode. The drinks? Absolutely amazing. The guava vodka & soda was my top pick -- refreshing, flavorful, and dangerously easy to drink. The Corn Sour was another standout and definitely worth ordering. And the Milk Punch? Pure magic. It looks completely clear, but the taste does not match what your eyes expect. It's one of those drinks that genuinely confuses you in the best way -- be prepared to be amazed. The bartenders were super attentive, fun, and clearly passionate about what they do, which made the whole experience even better. Crispy pork belly tacos are a must! Crispy, juicy, flavorful... absolutely great in every way. Every layer just worked together, and you could taste the care in every bite. Definitely a must-try spot and 100% going on our repeat list.
Had an incredible time at Superbueno last week for the first time. Came after work for drinks and to celebrate my birthday with my partner! I got the roasted corn sour (my favorite) and my partner got the green mango margarita. Both were absolutely delicious and balanced. We were even gifted small samples of their seasonal cocktails to celebrate! Definitely will be coming back here for more drinks and to try their food! Special shoutout to Rosemary who made our night so fun and special!
Superbueno is my favorite bar right now. It's an awesome Mexican American cocktail spot with amazing vibes and a celebration of culture. It opened in 2023 and is part of the Cocktail Kingdom Hospitality Group which also owns Katana Kitten. It blew up fast and ranked #2 on North America's 50 Best Bars in 2024 and 2025 & Best New US Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail in 2024. Service is super warm and attentive for such a crowded place. Drinks are creative and tequila focused. Favorites were the Fresca Tonic and the Roasted Corn Sour. On my birthday, they brought out 2 shots that were insane and I'm still dying to know what they were. Perfect for 2-4 people in my opinion. 100% going back.

They reminded me of the 90-minute limit right away, so it's not the spot if you're looking to hang out for a long time. I stopped in for a light bite and drinks before dinner. The guacamole was flavorful and well portioned, and they have a great happy hour menu. I started with the Adobada Bam Bam, which was refreshing with slight margarita vibes. The Fresca Tonic was also delicious and refreshing. The service was attentive, borderline a little much at times, but that's likely because they want you to make the most of your 90 minutes.
Really loud music, I could not hear myself speak, I could not hold a conversation in this bar/restaurant and for that reason it lost a star because It just felt chaotic. I had to yell my order to my waitress and ask her to repeat herself several times. I've read reviews with the same issue I faced but I didn't think it'd be to this extent. Now the drinks were all superb and spoke for themselves. Can't go wrong with any of their food dishes as well! If you like mezcal drinks, I can confidently say they do them the best here (I don't like mezcal but they made it in a way that I didn't mind while my friends who were mezcal lovers were happy) My favorite drinks here were the roasted corn sour and the Salted Plum & Tamarind Milk Punch. The latter was the most popular at my table, everyone consistently loved this drink the most since it was more unique and strong in flavor. I also really liked the green mango martini which wasn't too sweet. The chili oil balanced it so well. Vodka y soda was the easiest the go down quick bc it is just spiked guava soda.

We tried four cocktails, each very different but all quite approachable: * Roasted Corn Sour - Smooth, creamy on the surface, but finishes clean. It doesn't feel heavy at all and the flavor gets better the more you drink it. * Mushroom Margarita - A gentle mushroom aroma that sounds unusual but works beautifully. Balanced, not too sour, not too earthy. * Green Mango Martini - Light, refreshing, and fragrant. Sweet in a clean way, not syrupy or artificial. Easy to sip and very enjoyable. * Mole Negroni - Softer and rounder than a classic Negroni, with less sweetness and a subtle bitterness. Perfect for people who usually can't handle strong, heavy Negronis. None of the drinks tasted overly strong, but they were smooth enough that we were already a bit buzzed after two glasses. The portions are noticeably larger than many NYC bars, which makes the experience feel more relaxed and less rushed. The bartender was focused and friendly, and the whole atmosphere felt comfortable--no long lines, no pressure, just a good place to slow down for a while. If you like thoughtful, layered cocktails and a calm afternoon vibe, this spot is worth checking out
This bar is super fun and the atmosphere is very colorful and Latin vibes. I got the the vodka soda (guava) per the recc from the bartender over at double chicken please. It was excellent..I wish I had enough stomach to try the mole negroni which sounds interesting along with the mushroom margarita that uses huitlacoche which sounds wild. The bartenders and wait staff were super nice and friendly and talkative when available. Definitely deserving of its status as one of the best bars in the world.

Drinks are probably not my personal preference but the seasonal drink Nieve de Colada that my friend ordered I really enjoyed. I ordered the green mango martini which I did not personally like. I would guess that if you like the profile of a negroni you would enjoy. The music was way too loud, to the point where it was clipping the speakers. I think over all the volume had a negative impact on the whole experience. Bartenders and waiters were friendly and attentive. read more
Overall solid experience at Superbueno. It was a loud, dark bar with some tasty options. The green mango martini didn't do it for me unfortunately, but the roasted corn sour was great. It felt more like a nightclub with seats in it than a bar. I'm not totally sure it was my favorite vibe overall, but was not bad by any means. read more

We love cocktails, so we had to try Superbueno. Luckily my gf was able to get a rezzie so we didn't have to wait. It was pouring rain when we got here, so would have been miserable if we didn't have a booking. We only had an hour here, so most of us just did one round. I told a friend to order for me, so he picked the mango martini and the corn sour to share. I love me a good tart cocktail, but wasn't too sure about the corn aspect. Ingredients are corn whiskey, reposado tequila, roasted corn, guajillo, lemon, egg white. It wasn't bad at all. The mango martini was more my kind of drink - blanco tequila, mango distillate, sauternes, green mango, honey, chili oil. I was in the mood for a spicy margarita so this fufilled that craving. A fun and inviting atmosphere with unique drinks and great food! Service was awesome. They checked on us so many times. Water was always refilled. Napkins were replaced. Friendly and prompt. Drinks were quickly served. We ordered the chips and guac, Nachos, Al Pastor, Taquero Mucho, Birria Grilled Cheese, and Crispy Pork Belly. Everything was yummy. I especially like the Birria Grilled Cheese to dip in the consommé . Coming back again! read more

What a fun place - super bueno! We had some cocktails (inventive and delicious) and tacos. The fried fish taco was fab. Space is cool and has a good vibe. Staff was firmly and helpful. Prices were reasonable especially with the quality of food we ordered. It was a little loud and hard to hear but it was a fun spot! read more
Rated #1 bar in NYC for a darn good reason and I felt it the minute I stepped inside. Superbueno's electric vibes, energetic staff, great bites and let's not forget their mind blowing cocktails is all that and more. No need to say much more other than can't wait to be back. Loved our experience at Superbueno! We visited after seeing the World's 50 Best Bars 2025 list and are so glad we did. The bar is well decorated and slightly noisy. Our server checked on us frequently and gave us great recommendations. I really enjoyed my fresca tonica whereas my friend said her green mango martini was slightly strong. The guacamole was delicious and spicy. I wish we could've tried more of the food but we had dinner reservations after and didn't want to spoil our meal. read more

Superbueno absolutely delivers when it comes to the atmosphere. The vibe is fun and energetic, the service was fantastic, and the drinks were some of the best we've had. Everything on that front was amazing. Unfortunately, the restroom situation really took away from the experience. The bathrooms were dirty and flooded, which was pretty unpleasant and definitely a no bueno for my wife. Hopefully management addresses that, because otherwise this place is excellent and worth visiting. read more

Service was solid -- the staff were knowledgeable about the drinks and eager to share insights about the spirits and ingredients behind each cocktail. Super(bueno) excited we got a res for 6 here on a Saturday night. We had to wait ~10 min after our res time for them to clear a table, but nbd as our excitement was building from the liveliness outside. Once we got in, vibes were decent but super loud, packed and dark. We tried a variety of cocktails - the roasted corn and salted plum drinks were tasty, but the green mango martini fell super flat. I was expecting a bit more from the bar ranked #2 in the World's Best North America list. Also subtracted a star for the $19 guac, which tasted good but quite obnoxiously priced. read more

It is a little overrated and the cocktails, while great, fall short of what it should be in the top 50 list. I got the roasted corn sour which has corn whiskey that sounded interesting but honestly the corn flavor wasn't really apparent from what I can tell. I did enjoy it and the drink was fairly strong. I also got the mole negroni that was nicely spiced and strong, but easy to drink. As I was on an empty stomach, I took advantage of the $4.50 taco happy hour to get the pork belly taco, nothing to write home about. But I got to have something to not get too buzzed from the cocktails. I also wished they gave a happy hour menu from the get go, instead of me proactively finding it. Most cocktails priced at $20.50 with the exception of less interesting ones priced lower especially at happy hour are a bit high for NYC. There exist cocktails at this price point but they have defined uniqueness and impressive craft. This is definitely a good cocktail bar, but I expected a bit more given the accolades. read more
UGH. Such a letdown. This was featured as #2 in 2025 North America 50 Best Bars and it was...no bueno. The line on a Friday night was quite long but eventually we made it in, with no space to sit and only to stand. Super crowded and overwhelming experience. Not a place I'd like to vibe in. As for cocktails, their menu was small and so we were able to try most of them. I really tried hard to love their drinks but every single one of them sucked. I hate to say it but it was NOT great. I ALWAYS finish my drinks no matter how bad but this time, none of the three people in my group could finish our drinks. We then kept ordering more bc maybe we didn't get the right ones. But no, they were all so bad. In general, the unique flavor combinations didn't make sense to us or was not prevalent, and the alcohol was not smooth. What we ordered: 1) Mole Negroni -- where is the Mole?? 2) Green Mango Martini -- why does the alcohol BURN?? And again, where is the mango?? 3) Roasted Corn Sour -- where is the corn?? It tasted more like hotel room coffee machine water. 4) Fresca Tonic -- this was okay, but this is one that you just cannot mess up. 5) Salted Plum & Tamarind Milk Punch -- this was okay but it was more sour than salty and overly sweet. Superbueno has been named one of the top cocktail bars in North America, and in the top 100 list of the world in 2024. And only having opened in 2023, those are some pretty strong accolades! So, this has been on my list to try for a while as I love tequila (okay, and mezcal) margaritas and cocktails. At 5pm on a beautiful, warm Saturday afternoon, they were packed. However, there were some tables free and we were seated quickly. They did ask us for the table back after a set time, but it was also very reasonable. One interesting note: Water is served in small glasses, which are easy to drink in one gulp and they don't leave a bottle on the table. One might think that they'd be waiting awhile for water refills- but I'm happy to share that at Superbueno, they have someone constantly refilling water glasses so that my water glass was never empty for more than a few minutes, and was usually filled right away. Now, onto the good stuff: the cocktails. We tried: roasted corn sour - loved green mango martini - so, so good mushroom margarita - kind of an acquired taste but made very well and balanced And a regular skinny margarita, and one of the best ones I've had in a while too. We didn't order any food this time but I would want to try the next. The only downsides: - the noise level was kinda obnoxiously loud, which made it hard to hear each other in conversation even sitting directly across the table, and - also that we asked to keep one menu at the table so we could order more, and the server only said they could always bring one back - which I thought was kinda strange. I'd like to come back when it's a little less busy to try more of the menu. read more

Went out with a group of friends and we loved the ambiance at this cocktail bar. It is super cozy and relaxing inside, making it easy to talk for hours. Unfortunately, I did not like my drink because it was more savory than sweet, but I recognize that's my fault. I just wish they had more cocktail options as a cocktail bar. Next time I'll get a mule! The food was delicious, but again, wish there were more options, especially shareable appetizers. Everything is so small, but that's NYC. Overall, I would still return for a small bite with friends. This cocktail bar was pretty hyped, and I wouldn't say it disappointed, but I wasn't blown away. The green mango martini sounded really great, but it was just okay in my opinion. I had a sip of my daughter's guava vodka soda, and tbh it was way better and more refreshing. I say refreshing because the tables were so tiny, so you're kinda crammed in, and it was a bit too warm in there. The chips and guac were delicious, with the perfect amount of spice. We went on a Sunday evening, and it was pretty busy, which was fun. Overall, I'd go back for sure, but it's not a place I'd necessarily remember and recommend as a MUST visit. read more

A cute cocktail spot serving up well-crafted drinks -- staff was great with recs, Pineapple Slushy was fire! The ambiance is dim and moody, my only knock being that it's can get a bit loud since the space is small. I'd recommend getting a guac for the table! read more
Super cool and lively bar. Loved the food and the drinks were good not amazing. The chips and salsa were delicious and the birria grilled cheese was awesome as well. The corn sour was my favorite drink. The cafecito was good but didn't remind me of an espresso martini. People were nice and service was good. Would definitely recommend as a fun bar to go out to. read more

Flew into JFK one Friday afternoon to visit our daughter in the East Village and wanted to start off with drinks and appetizers. Superbueno was a great choice. Made a reservation for 3 and were seated quickly after we arrived. Table was small but large enough for our drinks and apps. VERY interesting selection of drinks -- I think we had a couple each -- and we really enjoyed our guac and chips and the flautas. ¡Supersabor! We'll be back... read more
