Reminiscent of the original Superburger stand by the middle school, it's back to outdoor sitting and order at the window! The burgers are always good and you can choose how fancy you want your burger. They usually have some special ones listed on the chalkboard menu- today it's the French dip burger with Swiss cheese and grilled onions- highly recommended! So good! I also love their chocolate malt- extra malty, and sweet potato fries- these were a bit soggy however still delicious. The burgers here are a bit pricey but a nice treat. read more

Love their burgers! Cook temp is pretty inconsistent - you order medium, and you sometimes get medium rare. Flavor is great, being able to specify what you want on it is excellent, and you really shouldn't miss out on the opportunity for a shake made with real ice cream: Both the Nutella and the banana are supreme. read more

Vegetarian review - plenty of choices since you can get anything and substitute with imposter patty. Now I realize veggie patty isn't the same as imposter patty so fort those is you whoo care about the difference, please note that place has the imposter patty. Personally I don't like imposter because I'm not a vegetarian by choice and so don't miss meat to want that texture, I'd prefer a Patty made truly with vegetables instead of imposter. However I could barely taste the Patty in the overall burger so for the first time I didn't mind her imposter Patty. We tried the classic cheese burger which was simple and straight forward. We also got a Petaluma meltdown or something else meltdown that had jalapenos, except there weren't nearly enough to make it feel spicy but I still liked this better than there other one. We also got a butterfinger malt drink which was super rich and so hard to finish. We also ordered a mango lemonade which was lighter and tasty. One thing to note additionally is that all the veggies come on the side and not over there burger which can be nice for take out but felt like extra work for in person. And also, you have to ask for a variety of sauces they have if you want to experiment with flavors as it's not always given by default. Onion rings were heavenly. Literally a Super Burger! Wow this place is tasty. My boyfriend and I stopped by while in the area and we both got a cheese burger with a side of tater tots to charge. The burgers were amazing for being just a cheese burger. We were trying to think the last time we had a burger that good before. The tater tots were just perfect, came out hot and crispy. They also had a selection of sauces. Their special sauce, ranch, bbq, ketchup. The special sauce was great on the burger and for dipping. Loved the bbq as well. The employees were very nice. I hate to write a negative review because that means that my experience wasn't up to expectations and who likes that? Superburger on 4th St Santa Rosa has been one our "go to's" for years. I'm hoping that last evening was just an off night. My "to-go" order was ready in 10 minutes while I waited at the counter (no one else was ordering & of the 2 people at the counter, one was already finishing & the other waiting for take-out). No problems here. I got home 10 minutes after leaving, immediately set the table for us & opened the food containers. I was hungry and hadn't eaten all day. THE FRIES CAUGHT MY IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. Two grass fed XL cheese burgers (one with bacon), a large order of fries with extra ranch dressing and a XL chocolate shake, $51+ (and I'm not complaining about the prices). The medium done grass fed cheese burgers were a bit over cooked with no pink in the center and mine was really salty and I'm not shy with salt. The large order of fries were one big clump of limp, rubbery starch and severely under-cooked or something? I was hungry and we did eat some fries but threw 75% of them away and they weren't cheap! If it were my business, they wouldn't have been allowed out the door and somebody would be hearing about it, sternly, in private. The chocolate shake was good but needed more chocolate and it had a few ice chunks in it. How did they get in there and didn't the chocolate shakes used to be made with hand dipper chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla & chocolate syrup? Counter service was polite. We'll probably try 4th St again in the future but they are no longer at the top of our list. Other Superburger locations we've tried multiple times, I'd never go back to. Always cook just right, smothered with garlic mushrooms and the absolutely delicious garlic and artichoke sauce, with blu cheese. Comes with a side of all the fixings you would want on a burger. This is my father's favorite place for lunch. He is a hamburger fanatic. The restaurant was not allowing indoor dining when we arrived due to Covid. They had picnic tables set up outside and we were able to find seats. We placed our order for our burgers and milkshakes and an order of fries. The waiter brought our order out to our table. I had my burger protein style. It was very tasty. My father inhaled his. I had a coffee milkshake. It was thick and creamy. I should've known better than ordering coffee as it had the real stuff in it and I couldn't sleep that night. (Age has its drawbacks) we split an order of french fries I couldn't finish them. While In-N-Out will always be my go-to burger joint (on account that we East Coasters continue to be deprived of such goodness), it's always a joy to have a back-up. Superburger is certainly super in that regard. I've had the pleasure of trying a few of their offerings since moving to this side of the country so I can say with certain that it's one of the better burgers around. Their fancy burgers are large and in charge. My favorite would have to be their mushroom and swiss bacon burger. I mean come on it's bacon, garlic, mushrooms and swiss cheese--good golly Miss Molly! For that extra heart-clogging craving, opt for the St. Helena Avenue which includes onion rings, bacon, cheddar cheese, and barbecue sauce. Let all that messy goodness simply ooze from the sides of your mouth. Not up for beef, then go for their chicken sandwiches which are just as hearty. Bill's Pesto Mushroom sandwich is scrumptious. That pesto sauce is perfect. Make sure to order a giant half and half of fries and onion rings because honestly it's not a meal without it. This is the last time. Must have changed hands - again. Ordered medium rare. Not only was it overcooked, the meat itself was very sub par, like a frozen patty, dry, tasteless, sad. The onion rings are your standard mushy frozen ones, and the buns are cheap. When I was there several months back they were craveable. I just don't trust them to ever be consistent. My wife has been telling me about this place for years. She finally decided it was time to take me! I think I may have a new place for burgers! I got the St Helena burger. I'm a sucker for bbq and onion rings on my burgers. It was juicy and flavorful and i don't know if they make their own sauce, but the bbq sauce was so good! It really seems to be house made. I got the peanut butter shake and it was also delicious. I appreciate that they give you wide straws so i don't feel like trying to suck out a baseball through the straw (I'm looking at you In N Out!). The service was also great. The last that took our order was super friendly. We had a problem with the shake my wife ordered and when i went up to her, before i could even open my mouth she could tell my wife's coffee shake wasn't tasting much like code and immediately remade it. This is more like 2 and a half stars so I gave them the benefit of 3 staras having very good service. I ordered a cheeseburger medium well along with some fries to go. I got home, and the fries had zero salt on them. It's almost impossible to salt fries after you get home because the salt doesn't stick. Nevertheless, I proceeded with the cheeseburger. They forgot the pickles. I had to get some pickles out of the frig. The burger was tasty with a char flavor to it, but very dry. To me, a great burger is moist and dripping when you bite into it. The bun was a bit dense for my taste. It was probably a brioche bun. For a $10 burger, and $4 for a small order of fries, I'm not sure I'm returning as there are plenty of other burger places in town. read more

This is a really small shop with additional patio ( only three tables outside). The shop is quite small, but servers are so attentive and friendly. They come to you with a big smile on their face and get your order( I always appreciate that type of service).The shop does have a U shape bar that costumers can sit and place their orders. Each section of this bar does have a boxes of mustered , pickles, maionese, and ecc... . The burger comes in a basket with cheese on the top, on the side of that basket you have lettuce, tomatoes , and onions which you will choose to what exactly you like to have on that. Oh my goodness! By far the best gourmet burger in the county! I've been going here for years and never had a bad meal. They offer several grades of hamburger: local angus beef (which is actually my preference most days), grass fed beef, lamb, turkey, and even waygu! They also offer impossible burger for vegan/vegetarians and grilled chicken, hot links, and tasty NY all-beef hot dogs if burgers aren't your thing. Now their signature burgers. Oh lort! The Black and Blue applewood smoked bacon with blue cheese is divine, so is the Montecito with house made guac piled on, and their specials are INCREDIBLE! I really miss the Rueben special, I have timed my visits wrong lately, but if you luck out and it's on the board order that bad boy! Their new special is Korean pork belly with fried onions-AYFKM?! I haven't tried it yet, but sign me up, because I am coming in for that one STAT. I love the old fashioned horseshoe counter, amazing milk shakes (they are made by hand, no soft serve nonsense here!) Ice cream floats, and malted milks. It's the only place I know of that still makes all of those old timey treats. Pie too! Servers are always quick to take orders (not one mistake on my order in all the years I've been going there), bright, friendly, and some have been working there for years. Something you don't see much of these days. To me worker longevity=a happy workplace with soul. I am glad to support a local family run business that treats workers well. If you haven't figured it out yet Superburger is my favorite place to get an upscale gourmet hamburger. The sides are great too, but frankly one regular sized burger is plenty to put me in a happy food coma. I order the smaller Town and Country fancy burgers when I'm craving onion rings or sweet potato fries which are sharable hefty servings even in the smallest version offered. Lastly they have very strictly observed covid safety since the pandemic. The take out window has clean pens (and a cup for used pens), hand sanitizer, and there is nice outdoor seating with flower planted boxes. It's these extra efforts that make a major difference. Knowing the owners care about customers and staff's safety is so important. PS: There's typically a line out the door every day during peak lunch and dinner hours so I strongly reccomend calling in your order if you're in a hurry so it's ready for pick up when you get there. It's not fast food, everything is made to order, so expect a reasonable wait for your meal (ten to fifteen minutes if they're very busy). You might have to park a block away because they don't have reserved parking, but it's a lovely neighborhood and I don't worry about it. Now, it's outside eating and after years of living a few miles up the road, about 3 weeks' ago, I decided to try the food again. When I eat out, I usually get food to go. I had their strawberry shake for the first time, wow, was it ever good, so I ordered it again today. Also, I've gotten both their cheeseburger and imposter burger, with my preference the cheeseburger. Very fresh taste and came with lots of vegetable toppings. And the onion rings? Huge order, and delicious. This time they gave me 3 different dipping sauces, ranch, barbecue, and ketchup. I'm at home alternating between typing this and grabbing bites of my to-go hamburger. We were seated outside and it took a long time before our order was taken. No one checked on us during our meal so our cups sat empty. When we were done eating, we hoped someone would come by to bring us the check. After 10 minutes we went inside to ask for the check. Took another 5 minutes to get the check. We put down cash and it took over 5 minutes before anyone came by to cash us out. So really, 20 minutes just to pay?
