She was very kind and gave me a suggested new style. So glad I took the plunge and when I saw my daughters they begged to do the same so I called and she took them the same day. Thank you Elena! Made an appointment for a haircut in the morning even before the shop was open. Got to the appointment twenty minutes early. Was told it was going to be awhile which was fine, I was early. When it got closer to my scheduled time I inquired how much longer would it be? Another thirty minutes or so. It was 4:17pm and they close at 5:00pm. There is no way she can cut my hair in 13 minutes. Afraid what my hair might look like having her rushing to get it cut, I walked out. I hope she received a really good tip that will make up for all the tips she will not be getting from me. I would have been a loyal custumer if I was treated fairly. Very disappointing. read more

I used to work at this location, 17 years til March of 2020. The owner still owes me for unpaid vacation time and won't respond to my communication attempts to recover what is owed to me. I am being ignored by her after several messages were sent to resolve my issue. I feel the owner is more than unfair by not dealing with the concern I have for claiming what is due to me. I will be contacting the Labor Board and Better Business Bureau if I don't receive my earned vacation pay. If I was given the satisfaction of a return response, I would not have to write this review. This location did not give a satisfying trim, lied about it and the manager did nothing but give me the number to the owner who refused a refund even though the receipt says satisfaction guaranteed. I didn't want a redo, I no longer trusted them with scissors. She stated that if she gave everyone a refund that was unhappy then she would go out of business! Thats telling me that this happens often for her to make that statement. Both she and the staff were dismissive and need to be better trained on ethnic (black) hair. The pricing was WAY too high. I've been to many locations and this one was really disappointing. I would never return or recommend this location anyone. read more

Originally I had scheduled an appointment with my regular Barber but he cancelled last min to let me know that he forgot to take this week off of his schedule and is still on vacation. Because I had military obligations to attend to this weekend, my priority is to make sure I looked clean and regulated to report. I normally don't go to places like these, however this was the only one location of Supercuts that I seen with great reviews compared to the others in the area. Went in for a taper fade because I'm trying to grow out my hair on top and I like how it turned out. I seen comments that say their stylist didn't do a great job with tapers or fades but I can reassure you that there was a male stylist in this Supercuts (completely forgot to get his name) that knew what he was doing when he did my taper. Thankfully this place is close by me so in any case I needed a haircut, I'll most definitely come here for service read more

Took my 6-year-old daughter there for a haircut today. We walked in without an appointment and were seen right away. Joy was wonderful. She gave me some helpful tips for my daughter's hair care and was really sweet with her. She was straightforward about the fact that a shampoo and any styling would be extra so I wouldn't be surprised about my bill. I typically avoid places like this because of bad past experiences, but I was very pleased with the haircut and the experience overall. Thanks, Joy! read more

I am writing this review a bit late. I first came here in mid-2008. The stylist who did my hair is named Dennis. He is amazing! He took great care of me and actually seemed to know what he was doing (I have tried many stylists prior and always left looking awful). Dennis is truly a pro, and not only that but he actually cares about how you look and feel. He was very honest and sold me a couple of products that helped me upkeep my look. He's been an inspiration and years later I now am graduated and doing hair as well. Store is clean, stylists are friendly and prompt, and I've never had any problems. read more

Unfortunately my husband bought me Supercuts cards for Xmas gift. He knew I had been there a few times & was trying to think ahead (as I used to go to Great clips before closing & was very happy). Now due to these, cards, I gotta trudge out to Orland (where reviews look great) because the Crestwood location has turned into a nightmare. Used to get my haircut by manager there, nothing special but OK cuts (my hair's VERY easy, short layers. Bangs are always a problem, I say each time I do NOT like overly fringey & uneven which is ignored but I have scissors & always fix them when home. Easy peasy). But this is bigger issue. Not once but LAST TWO times I called before coming in (can seriously get there in under 10 minutes) & manager told me, yeah..come right in, open right now. Well I understand it's a walk-in basis & someone might've walked in before me ONCE (in that less than 10 minutes. Happens) but I jump in car, to head over just to see her taking not ONE person in front of me but TWO. I was there before second guy. NOT one word said to me explaining lapse, nor am I acknowledged even THERE. Yeah, I must be invisible. But when she then called the second person, I left. No notice from them, they didn't seem to look over. Last thing one needs is haircut completely rushed as they are closing. OK. So figured ANYTHING can happen ONCE but nope, very next visit the VERY same scenario repeated itself yet AGAIN---meaning I call specifically to see how busy it looks, am told she's wide open, come on over. RUSH over there (honest to God, bet 5 minutes later) to see yet AGAIN someone else CALLED before me (as I begin to wonder about this place) but decide to be NICE, patient & wait . But THAT'S it when she calls yet ANOTHER person. Again. REALLY? All the while, with others cutting there (that look like they are doing fine job so have NO idea what's up. Personally just don't like to REEXPLAIN, because even with RECENT pics of my OWN cut, often they aren't much looked at! and now with such distaste in mouth, have no choice but to try elsewhere). So I casually WALK out again without one single person noticing (like HER, for instance. And yes, I check in at desk every time as expected). Believe me folks, she's not that skilled for one to suffer such rudeness, or lack of judgment. Why waste your time? OH.....and one last gripe, even in dead of winter, when she's done cutting, she blows the hair (if at all!) LESS than 2 minutes so you WILL be leaving there with totally wet hair. I've always just headed home (blasting heat in car) but WHO does that in winter? Only ONE time did I say, "can I have that hairdryer?.. I'll finish up" OH and not to boast but make point, all this was with at least 30 to often 50% tip (yeah, because they are so cheap & sometimes have coupons). DONE!! Orland Park here I come (at least to use my gift-cards & see) & I'm so EXCITED. Make that trip yourself, you will NOT go through this aggravation. I gave TWO stars to be kind. read more

I used to always go here for my haircuts, but no more. I went on a Saturday right when the salon was supposed to open at 9am. I stood outside and waited more than 5min and the employees didn't open the door. Some were just coming in from the back, while others were standing around. It was cold and rainy outside and they seen me standing there. They seen me but still didn't open the door which they are supposed to at 9am. And if they weren't ready, I wouldn't have mind taking a seat to wait. So while standing outside in the cold, I called the salon across the street and since they were open at 9am as well, I went there. They promptly took me and did a great job, plus they were $1 cheaper!! This place lost my business... read more

I love this super cuts and debbie is a great beautician. Everyone at this store is outgoing and makes you feel special. I drive 20 t0 30 minutes to go there even though there are others nearer to my home. I'd recommend anyone to go there. Even there hair products are great. Six weeks from now ill be there again. There is such an attitude going on at this place. First of all, this old bitch named Barb would not even acknowledge me when I came in trying to get a cut. She ignored me completely when I acknowledged her to say hello and start a conversation. She would not even look at me or acknowledge my presence. I felt maybe she was having a bad day and did not want to engage in any conversation so I let this time slide. Then after the other stylist cut my hair, Barb came up to chat with the stylist, all the while continuing to ignore or even look at me. I said goodbye to both of them in an upbeat manner and only the stylist that cut my hair acknowledged me to return the compliment. Barb has done this to me before and there is no reason for her to treat me this way when I have done nothing to upset or irritate her, as I am always friendly and leave generous tips. I will never be going back here as long as she works there because of the mistreatment of clients. read more
