After calling a couple of places this afternoon without any success due to no available appointments, hair color not in stock or both, I decide to call my go-to hair place - Supercuts! I talked to a friendly girl on the phone who even after telling her our hair saga encouraged us to come in. My teen daughter and I were instantly welcomed by Emily who immediately put my daughter and her frantic mother at ease. Her hair situation was a complicated one and Emily took the time to listen to our hair drama and patiently gave her opinion on options. She was exceptional at explaining what had happened to my daughter's hair color and tips on how to prevent it from happening again. She was honest and up-front about worst-case scenarios and about cost. I felt comfortable leaving my daughter in Emily's care while we ran some errands because I knew that my daughter felt at ease with her. Emily is the best!!!! Let me give you the background... It had been literally 6 years since I have had my hair cut because I was so afraid. I have long wavy/curly hair and for some reason I could never find anyone who knew how to cut my hair right. The last hair cut I had left me with a mullet. So needless to say I was afraid to get my hair cut. A friend of mine recommended this spot and Emily was the one who cut my hair. She was friendly and greeted me with a smile. I explained to her my horrific story about my last haircut and that I was nervous. She was very personable and asked me how I wanted my hair cut and talked me through each step which made me feel at ease. She's been doing my hair for nearly 15 of those years, dating back to early 1997. I started asking for her by name after watching her in action for a few years. Hands down, she continues to give the best haircuts I've seen to every client who's ever sat in her chairs - from toddlers to senior citizens - all possessing the most diverse hair types, textures and styles on the planet. She's got the best hands holding a pair of scissors anywhere, and trust me - I should know, because before I met Amy - I used to pay an arm and a leg for lesser work done by upscale salons and independent stylists throughout the San Diego area. But the blue-chip bonus with Amy is this: People can go anywhere for a haircut. Amy is a gem because she's not only a great stylist, but she's also sensitive to her clients' needs while possessing a dazzling personality. She's funny, animated and sincere. You feel you're in the best hands when you ask for Amy because she's got professionalism and confidence written all over her. I've seen her adapt her personality to the temperament of each client. (Sometimes outgoing, sometimes subdued.) This is the worst experience I've had at this Supercuts!!! I've been going to Supercuts for over 20 year! Always happy with Joni but today she just left and they decided to gouge me by $20 more dollars than usually for the same service! Very poor business! They are not all that!#!#! Will not be going back...ever! Manager and staff were very smug and there are many other decent shop to choose from that value a customer's loyalty! Joni I will miss you. You are great and caring. I have gone to this place 3 times so far. And every time I hope that it is going to get better. I am always wrong. 3 times and that's it. I'm never going back. This last time the stylist wasn't friendly and it literally took 3 minutes to cut my hair. If all you need is a trim then I suppose this place is alright but if you are looking for a color or a new look I suggest you do not come here. read more

Took my 9 y/o son here on Sunday after I had taken him to another barber place in the area. The other place did not do a good job, and I was a tad bit frantic as it was my sons first day of school on Monday. Robyn, one of the stylists saw my son right away and not only fixed his haircut, but made it look really nice, like there had never been any mistake in the first place. I haven't gotten a hair cut in 4 years and I was in need of a new hair stylist. I came in and was greeted and helped immediately. My stylist was Tasha and she was amazing! I showed her pictures and described what type of cut I wanted. She asked me a couple questions and explained what she was doing as she cut my hair . Came back for yet another cut. I didn't catch the name of my hairdresser, but she had short, dyed hair. She was so extremely helpful and responsive! I got a cut that I loved, and she was such a friendly stylist, too. I recommend bringing in pictures of what you want for your hair. The stylists will make recommendations sometimes, too, which is awesome. I like that they use leave-in conditioner in my hair, too. read more

I would say they messed up my hair 2 out of every 5 times I came in, and I have a simple short guy's cut. Pricey to boot. People are nice, but I stopped coming in because one hair stylist had to get help to finish my cut. read more

Amazing ladies! At least, monthly x 6 yrs, I've walked in with minimal wait. My usual stylists in no order: Tessa, Robyn, Emily, Jenna, Joanne. I no longer use dark towels to hide stains after washing hair from using home coloring. They give me a new me when I want it. Waxing, haircut, coloring , and/or blowing out straight my curls or leave in curls; They aim to please with a smile. You can feel their connection. I have been going to this location for over a year (maybe 2?) and I am so happy to finally find a place where everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about styling and cutting hair. My hair has always been dark brown (almost black) for over 40 yrs and when it was time for a change Super Girl Tessa was the person to gently and calmly help me go from dark to very light brown almost blondish. This was a BIG change for me and I was nervous, but I couldn't be happier and I always get compliments on the color. There have been a couple of times that I went in for a touch up or style and Tessa was not available and whoever was available to help me always did a great job. Love this place! read more

I just cannot have very good service to my liking at these supercuts places. This is the 2nd one I have tried and it's the same damn thing. Poor scheduling and you cannot book any sort of time with these people because the walk in always trumps the appointment times even if you book the day before or day of. And the only way to fix this is to make them go ALL by appointment and they will never do that for fear of losing money. I don't like having to wait 20 to 30 minutes just to get into the chair even after I make an appointment and then get there and find out a walk in pushed my appointment time back 15 precious minutes. So instead of chancing being late for work I took the other available girl that has never cut my hair and wasn't 100% satisfied after I got a better look at it later that night. And the other girl that does my hair said she would tell her what to do. I don't like multiple people doing my hair. Booking an appointment and having them stick to it AND having the same person do my hair everytime is obviously not happening AGAIN so I'm done with Supercuts! Bye! read more

Been a regular customer for about 4years, keep going back for Jenna, as she's a great stylist, but the new manager is rude and makes you wait at the desk while she chats with another customer while you wait and wait.. my last visit was even worse, she was just rude to me. I'm pretty sure she remembers my face so I fully expect it to continue to happen if I want to see Jenna to cut my hair. Oh well. read more

This place is horrible. I came here cause my barber was not available. Big mistake I brought my son and both of us got a haircut. Mine was ok but my sons was rushed and sloppy. They did them at the same time. My sons stylist was in such a hurry to go to the back of the store that she ended up making my sons hair look horrible. I noticed this as we were leaving and when I looked she was already in the back. I would not recommend this place to an enemy of mine. Try ANYWHERE else. read more
