If I could post negative stars, I would! This placed was absolutely horrible. The barber was so bad because she could barely speak English, and never followed my orders. I couldn't here a word she said cause she was whispering like a mouse. She asked me if I wanted to cut more and I said no but she kept cutting. I told her to do 3 on the side and a trim on the top. When she cut the top, she cut my hair like a five year old. She cut in random spots so my hair is uneven. And she cut it so short that I can't come my hair in any direction without it standing up. So now any way I come it comes out spiky and uneven. So now my hair LITERALLY looks like grass!! Terrible haircut and IT COSTS $25 for a 12 year old! Absolute ripoff!!! Don't ever come here unless you want a bad haircut and be demonetized!! I request a refund of the $25. read more

Been visiting this location for years and have never had an issues. Marcelino and Jasper have been always professional and friendly and have also cut the hair of my two young children. Compared to the Laguna location this place is light years ahead. I've had issues at other locations with wait times, professionalism and turnover but staff at the Elk Grove location have always been the best. I am giving this place three stars. The problem with Supercuts in general is that it's kind of hit and miss to the stylist that you get it seems like when I go there there is rarely the same people there from one visit to another. This place seems to be a starting ground for new hairstylist. It seems as if you see somebody there two or three visits that means that they're not getting a better paying job elsewhere. Today I went in and saw Jasper. She has given me a decent haircut in the past. Today I came in and was very specific with my request. I asked her to please leave an inch and a half on the top. Before I knew it, she left only a half inch which is way shorter than I like. The good thing about haircuts is that if you get a bad one it does grow out. So it's not the end of the world. But I likely will never use Jasper again since I don't feel that she listens to what you request of her I do wish her the best. read more

Me and my mom went in to get our hair dyed and my mom told Jasper she wanted the gray out of her hair and told her EXACTLY how she wanted it done and she left the place with bleached hair and the gray still there. She charged my mom 275 and didnt give her what she wanted. My mom came home crying and her hair looks horrible so we have to spend more money to fix it our selfs. Despite a lot of the negative reviews - I have never had an issue here. ALWAYS CALL AHEAD. Sometimes the wait times can get crazy long so I always call ahead to confirm and if there is a wait you can put your name down on the schedule. I never ask for a crazy hair cut - just a trim and layers, and it's always been good. Some stylists are better than others but my hair is so long it's not really an issue. I've been to 3 of their locations and this is by far my favorite! The staff are always very welcoming and full of smiles. I've had from hair trims, hair cuts, and now ventured to hair color. I've had really good luck with the staff. The place is always clean and their shelves are fully stocked with product. If you can get there when they open during a weekday...there's no waiting period most of the time. Lol. Most of the staff and I have shared some great conversations. I will be back!! read more

She is professional and always recommends what is right for my face shape. Since getting my hair cropped by her, I have been repeatedly complimented on the style and asked who cuts it. So, Yes, the hairstylist know what they are doing here. Yes, you can walk-in. Yes, they listen to what look you are striving for. Yes, they can meet that need. Left my salon to come here for an inexpensive haircut. Came a couple times, not the best cuts, but for the price, descent enough. Last time I'm coming her though. Made my appt at 3, came at 245 and checked in. Watched a bunch of people come in and get served before me. I understand they had appointments too, maybe called in before me, but one walk-in even asked me "you're before me right?" and he ended up getting seated before me. Nice people, but their system has issues. I come to pay lower price and for convenience. If I'm going to wait 2 hours, might as well pay extra and get a premium cut and my salon. A couple of hrs later, I get a phone call from their assistant Calvin, that the manager is cancelling my appointment because it's the evening before back to school. I was told that the manager would rather have the only colorist they have available for children's haircuts instead, and not honoring an appointment made in good faith early in the morning. This experience is in the top 5 of the worst I have ever had. Only 2 stylists around the day I came in. Was brought back by Cathleen. This service was so lacking in every way possible. Shampooing was so blah...like I could barely feel her hands washing my hair. It would be like if you asked a 4-5 year old to do it. Half a salon experience for me is a good shampooing and working on your scalp and feeling good. Not even close. The haircut was so basic. In fact I was so nervous for her to even cut my hair it just felt like she was fresh outta school and I was a guinea pig. I just feel like overall this was terrible and I'm not coming back. My husband usually goes here. I took my 5 year old who has 2 cowlicks on the back for a haircut. I get it, it's a difficult cut but I showed her 2 pics and she still messed it up. She tried so no offense to her but I will continue taking him to an experienced Salon and pay the extra $5. read more

Best Supercuts I have ever been to. So clean and friendly service. I've been to other Supercuts in the area and u can defiantly tell the difference between the ones that still care about their job and the ones that just come to work. Everyone at this locations cuts hair great; I've been to Linda, the manager, Kati, and Leeanne. They always have a smile and do there job perfectly. The best part is NO WAIT! My husband came here to get a haircut the lady did not blend it in at all when he pointed it out she said she fixed it when my husband tried to tell her how he wanted his hair she told him no no it looks fine. Waste of time. I could have shaved my boys hair myself for free. I had to keep a eye on the clerk and coach her how to cut my sons hair and remember, all he had was the lower part of his head shaved. I've been a customer here off and on for years and have never been a big fan. It used to be a place I'd come to as a last resort and now it's my go to spot. I'm sorry to say but I'm a very picky when it comes to my hair and when I find someone that can cut my hair I'm loyal. Recently my hair stylist was in a accident so I had to try and find someone that I trusted and here I am 4 months later still going to Marcelino.
