You rarely wait and on the few occasions when I have (life happens) the stylists are all very friendly and take good care of each client- you never feel rushed. They keep notes on what products work- the products here are top notch- tea tree oil and others to lock in moisture since Vegas is harsh on hair. The location is very clean, everything feels welcoming with small GREEN touches like plants add to an environment of haircare that is not messy or never unclean, hot towels when its cold. I needed a clean cut haircut before visiting my dad in New York. I wanted a hair salon that had a high overall rating. Yelp led me to the Pecos at Windmill Super Cuts in the Von's Shopping Center. I am familiar with this location. Although it might have had a different owner, it has been a reputable business for haircuts going back to at least 2006. I am pretty sure that I have had a haircut here prior to 2011 when I joined Yelp. When I walked in there were three hair stylists. Blane greeted me right away. He asked me if I've been here before. I told him that I've been to the location at Eastern and Warm Springs (I also rated it four stars). He was in the middle of a customer, and let me know there would be a twenty minute wait. Blayne ended up being my stylist. When I suggested a hairstyle that was close to a crew cut and had a very clean cut presentation, he gave me a tempo taper hair cut. Blayne was very thorough and treated my hair like a sculpture. He was so thorough that he'd turn the chair at different angles to guarantee that my borderline unkempt hair was now a hair salon work of art. The haircut exceeded the price of a $22.95 hair cut. Blayne thoroughly trimmed my neck and provided a warm towel wash. If the haircut wasn't impressive enough, he took the time to shave areas of my former thick beard that I hurriedly shaved before the walk in haircut. He could of had easily charged me for a beard trim on account of all the work he put in. In the process of focusing on my haircut, Blayne was able to fit in some small talk, which I think adds to the haircut experience. In contrast to previous haircuts that I have had, they played classic rock. It was music to my ears to listen to the songs I play in the car, while my borderline unkempt hair was being transformed into a sculptured fantastic tempo taper haircut. I am impressed with Blayne's work. I can see why there is a "People Love us on Yelp" sticker on his mirror. The thing about Supercuts is that it is my understanding that customers cannot request a hairstylist. However, I have read that the majority of hair stylists here a talented. In conclusion, I give the Pecos at Windmill Supercuts a Super 4 Stars. read more

i saw andrea today for a haircut, shampoo, and blow dry. i was seen right away, and andrea really listened to my concerns. my hair is so damaged and i had spilt ends. she made sure i was comfortable w the length being taken off as my hair is extra long she said. i ended up having 3-4inches cut but she asked me several times if this was ok which i appreciated! my hair immediately gained volume and i was happy. she washed my hair and the product, matrix smelled absolutely amazing. the blow dry was so nice i almost fell asleep lol. she styled it sooo cute! i felt totally reinvented and was happy i decided to get the cut. she not only listened to my concerns, but gave great advice and recommendations to help my hair in the future. i plan on seeing her again in 6 weeks for a trim. ty andrea, you are the best! read more

I walked in the establishment around 11:20 am to get a simple haircut the entire place was EMPTY not a single person sitting down in a chair or waiting room the woman at the counter (she was nice which is why it's two stars)told me soonest available was 1 pm with multiple hair dressers and not a single person sitting down. As for atmosphere, ambience, and vibe, this Supercuts store is clean. The person working on the day we came in was pleasant, but she wasn't very good at cutting hair. There's a Latina woman that cuts hair here that totally screwed up my elderly mom's haircut RIGHT BEFORE my stepfather's funeral. When my mom saw her hair, she was horrified at how short the lady cut it. My mom has super thin hair, and the barber lady at the Supercuts gave her a haircut that made her look like a little boy. On the day of the funeral, not only was my mom crying from the death in the family, but she was also sad and self-conscious about her hair. Even worse, about a week and a half later, she was going to see some old classmate that she had not seen since HIGH SCHOOL! my mom was so mortified, she even had me help her trying to research if she could get a wig or something like that. It was a really bad situation. This happened about a year ago, and her hair is just now starting to grow out a little bit. read more

Staff was not asking enough questions or anything about my hair. I sit into her chair and the vibe isn't the greatest. She just ask what i want , i say layers but i have wavey hair and was going to show a photo with my hair type but she just said Ok and didnt ask any questions and cut my hair like she would for a straight hair type. Right as I entered, I was pleasantly greeted by two friendly employees and checked in for my appointment. Mariela did my cut and she was just excellent! She started me off with a wash and made sure that I didn't have any tee tree allergies. Before cutting my hair, she thoroughly asked what type of style and length I wanted, which I very much appreciated. I was so happy with the outcome. I am so upset with our visit to this Supercut store. We came late, around 4.30pm on 10th of February as walk in and there were two friendly ladies. But unfortunately, the woman who cut my husband's hair really really did a bad job. One side was way longer than the other side. She fixed it but did not see the point she said that that must be the side he was sleeping on. Never in his life has someone suggested something like that. The back side of his head is completely non-symmetrical, literally unfixable wrong. Overall it looks like a bad bad job. The chair for washing his hair was unfit for a tall person and my husband ended the visit with a sore neck from the wash. She kept trying to sell hair products and after 6 times telling her he does not use it we really got a bit annoyed. I know there will be more people working there who will get great reviews and that's why I really am sorry for this review. read more

I showed up 15-20 minutes early for my appointment and was still able to be seen basically right away. Emily did an amazing job! I love my new hair! And she was so personable and easily to talk to. SUCH A RUDE LOCATION! I've been coming to this location for a few years and always get the most basic service - a hair wash. That's it. I leave with wet hair. I always tip 80% of my service because I don't like wasting people's time. HOWEVER, every time I come to this location I get treated like absolute crap by the same one person. The gentleman with the short colored hair. Not a single time goes by that I don't get treated so incredibly rude by him. My husband witnesses this and is always in shock by how cold that man is. My wash is always a different price. He will literally butt in to the stylist checking me out and raise the price of any service I'm getting because my short hair (that rests on my shoulders) is considered "medium length" all of a sudden. Today I was waiting outside the shop for 20 min for it to open (we got there at 9:40 and it opens at 10). I did the nice thing and let the elderly couple next to me go ahead of me (after the husband squawked at me that they were there first anyway - but they weren't) and went to check in. Another woman who 200% walked up way after all 3 of us just went and sat down, no checking in. The always-rude gentleman told me I was 3rd in line because the other woman had been "waiting outside since 8:45." (an hour and 15 min before store opens) She just sat there and didn't say a word. You're joking right? My hair wash takes 8 minutes and I was literally the first person in the entire parking lot. You'll never have my service again. BE NICE. I'm sorry you think you're a baddie but you're not above anyone. Please remember the people who make your business possible and consider their feelings when you open your rude mouth. read more

Awful awful awful! The most expensive haircut chain with terrible stylists. Only went here for convenience before leaving for a trip. However, it has never ever taken that long to cut my son's hair. The guy kept going back with the scissors and trimming different areas as if he had no idea what he was doing. My son's hair is so uneven and does not even look like he got a haircut. If you've lived here for a while, and are not satisfied with your current stylist, you must go in and visit Nadia! She listens to you and gives feedback that it's going to give you the best result. I have been thrilled with my cuts and highlights, and of course the reasonable price in order to obtain the same result I would have to go to a high end salon, and pay at least twice as much and not be as satisfied.
