This Supercuts isn't doing a superb job as I thought it would. I came in asking for a half an inch taken off and they barely cut anything! There were no names displayed so I couldn't name this person. Charging me twenty-one dollars for less than a trim is unacceptable. read more

Took my 6 years old son there for a trim. Stylist shaved off one side of his hair!! Yikes!!! I had to shave all his hair off to make it even. Didn't think 'trim' was shaving off, leaving the hair less than 1/2 inch long when my son's hair was about 3 inches long at the beginning!! Took my son almost 6 months + to grow back to normal. Didn't pay a penny. In fact they should pay me for awful hair 'trim'. Never go there again!! If you want your hair shaved off, this is the place you should go. I have been coming to this location for several years and have always been pleased. Went in today to get my usual style and was not told until they had finished that the price would be different. Normally paid $35 for a blow and flat iron, today was charged $50. Despite stylist stopping midway in my service to go check something on computer, I was given no warning of the price hike. Placentia Supercuts store is terrible in providing customer services. They have mess up my son's hair and refuse to readjust it. What is the purpose of paying $18 for haircut with lousy service. Manager has no people skill, all she cares about business and making money regardless of customer's satisfaction. Super cut franchise should take a close look at this store and give the staff a training on how to handle customers. I would not recommend anybody to go to this location ans waste their money and their look cause they are not professional. read more

I NEVER get a good haircut because I am terrible at describing what I want, but on Dec 21st, 2014, Brigitte gave me one of the BEST haircuts I have ever had. I have curly hair and it's thin so I often hate any style on me, but I showed Brigitte (first time I ever went to her) a picture of the style I am trying to grow into and from that one pic, she was able to correct my layers and give me a great shape! I am not exaggerating in any way. I will definitely be back to see Brigitte. On another note, the wait was a bit long, but not compaining because I walked in on a whim and there were at least 6 people in front of me and I got a QUALITY hair cut. The staff were all friendly and it seemed that all the stylists were very engaged with their clients and everyone seemed comfortable. I took my mother here today for a haircut and for me both a haircut and lip wax. Monique took my mother seated her and asked her how she wanted it cut. My mother is 92 and very alert, although she has hearing loss. I sat and listened while my mother explained to her exactly how she wanted it done. shortly, thereafter another girl came and took me back to do the waxing. Midway through the waxing, I heard Monique say to my mother " You should have told me that before I started". Needless to say Monique was damn lucky that I was getting the waxing or I would have given the bitch a piece of my mind. Mind you my mother has a very basic haircut, short with no layering or additional styling. After the waxing I went back to the lobby and stated that I was now ready for my haircut, only to also to be told by the bitch that I never told them that when I first arrived. Which was not the case. She then told me that I would have to wait because some dude came in while I was getting waxed, and since I hadn't told them that I had to wait. We decided to wait but Monique did more bullshitting with the dude then she did cutting his hair. After about another 20 minutes we decided to leave. My mother asked her to stop talking and take me to get my haircut. We have been customers there for 20 years, but never again. Suck it read more

Terrible service with very long wait times. As you sit and wait, you can enjoy watching the stylist taking her time and chit chatting away. Or enjoy watching them doing accounting at the cash register. I have been going here for years, but this has happened too often. The explanation was sorry they are short staffed. so why do accounting when you can be taking care of customers. Won't be going back, rather drive further and get some decent service. read more

Ended up here because the place I had been going to is now closed. It was a Saturday afternoon, so they were pretty busy and I waited about 20 mins. I ended up getting Breann as my stylist and I will DEFINITELY be back! She was so sweet and really took the time to get a clear idea of what I wanted. She made sure the water temperature was right for me, and did such a nice job washing my hair. I wanted to fall asleep cuz it felt so good! Thought I would give the Supercuts franchise a try despite having heard numerous horror stories about them. In a nutshell, the stylists didn't seem to know how to cut men's hair. The woman completely destroyed my hair with what was supposed to be a parted comb over, and kept making excuses about how its supposed to look as she continued to butcher the already irreversible mess. The stylist's tools (ie combs and scissors) didn't seem to be hygienic and properly cleaned. The shampoo wash was half-assed and incomplete (1 shampoo and condition cycle). I just wanted to be done with it and get out of there. Would not return even if they were the last barber in town. read more

Employees cannot multi-task have no sense of urgency. I was the 4th person to enter the waiting area without being "checked-in". 4 people came in after me, they have 8 people waiting and not one person had been checked in. So 15 minutes later when she finally checked us all in, she had no idea in which order we had arrived. If you can't handle writing a name down yourself, put out a sign-in sheet. Geesch. Went early and the stylist had a hard time understanding how I wanted it cut but did her best. I was pretty happy but she didn't cut it short enough. I went back at 2pm to have it shortened. I waited 45 minutes. Two stylists with one customer each the whole time and no where near done after 45 minutes! I had to leave but plan to return tomorrow early to try again. They take call ahead appointments and three people walked in and said they called ahead after I had been sitting there for 30 mins. I have been going here for about 2 1/2 years now after having a terrible experience at the Brea Supercuts one time. I normally get my haircut done by Marianne and she does a great job. She is very nice and knows what she is doing. The times when she is off and I have to get a haircut done by somebody else has been a different story. The last 3 times I got haircuts done by other stylists other than Marianne, my haircut was a disaster and I actually had to fix my fade one time by myself the next day. Marianne knows exactly what I am looking for and she gets it done quickly and just how I like it. She's also very easy to talk to and very nice. From now on, if she is not working when I want to go in there, I probably will wait till she is working on the days I go in. read more

I walked into supercuts and at first glance, I thought what a nice place. $18 seems alright. They didnt have any business at the time i walked in, so i decided to give them some work. I asked for a scissor cut, and she agreed to do it. Halfway into my haircut, she tells me that using the machine clippers would be better for me. I told her i wanted to use the scissors only. After a few minutes of her trying to convince me to use the machine, I let her use it only on the back, now it is too short, and she has to take more off the top. She tells me not to worry because i have thick hair. She tells me it will look good, and i just let her do her work. I don't look in the mirror from then on. when she shows me my hair, it is so short that i cannot do anything with it. There is no hair to work with, and it did look short. It didnt matter if my hair was thick or not. It looks like i got a generic buzz cut by the time i was finished. 18$ for this quite pricey. read more

I have been to this location plenty of times to get my hair cut and for the most part they do a relatively fine job. I went in yesterday and had Marianne and she was incredibly lazy. She never introduced herself, she cut my hair extremely fast, my sideburns were uneven, she never showed me my neckline or shaved my neck for that matter, and the rest of it was just sloppy. I have to go back in today to get it all fixed and have them clean it up because she did a real half ass job. I was in the chair for probably 20 minutes and she spent maybe 10 minutes cutting my hair and the other 10 minutes taking phone calls. I definitely do not recommend her at all. Also, when I got outside I realized she didn't get any excess hair off of my head so I had chunks of hair falling out in my car and on my clothes and making a mess everywhere I went. She is just simply lazy and it shows quite evidently in her mannerisms. read more

When I checked in for my son's haircut I was told it would be about 30 minutes so we waited. After 45 minutes of waiting I was getting annoyed, but I got even more upset when others who came in AFTER us were taken before my son. When I asked the receptionist if it was because they had appointments she told me, "We don't take appointments, but you can call in and say you're coming in within the hour and we'll hold your spot." She apologized for the delay and told me it would probably be just another 15 minutes. At that point we just waited it out, but more people came in and they were taken first. Finally, after an hour and a half they called my son. His cut was fine for the $17, but the front person should really give customers a better time frame. Looking at the reviews this place is hit or miss. I highly recommend calling them before you go in so they can take your name down...even though according to them "they don't take appointments."
