I didn't even know I was craving an Italian sub until I saw it on the menu, but it was meant to be because this was a damn good sandwich. And it came with waffle fries, which normally aren't my favorite but these slapped. I overlooked this spot on past visits to Ballston quarter but I won't be making that mistake again.

I have seen this spot in the Ballston quarter mall so many times but finally stopped by today! I got the short rib sandwich with waffle fries and a side salad. I used inkind to pay since they're on the app, so I get an additional 20% cashback. Everything was so delicious. The sandwich was bigger than I thought it was going to be from other people's pictures. The bread was so soft and a little sweet, almost like a Hawaiian roll. The short rib inside was like pulled short rib and super tender. The mashed avocado added an element of creaminess and the arugula cut the fattiness perfectly. Solid!! And the waffle fries were just like the ones I had growing up in NYC - I have been LOOKING for waffle fries like these everywhere. I'm so happy now that I've found them!! Also I think it was the owner who helped me, but she was sooooo sweet. Offered us cups of water and everything as we waited for our orders to be prepared. Can't wait to return and try more sandwiches, fried Oreos, and cocktails all of which sounds really tasty as well!!

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Literally the best steak and cheese sandwich - the bun was buttery and fluffy. Their cocktails are def strong but perfect with their sandwiches! Brook is the best - she's so kind and is super accommodating! It's located within Ballston Quarter in the back so don't miss it!

I got the Superette Italian and while it wasn't bad, it wasn't amazing either. I loved the meats they used but the ratio of everything felt off . Biting into the sandwich I either got a bite of meat, lettuce, or mayo but those three never truly matched up. The bread was a bit too soft and needed to be toasted to add some texture to this. The fries were ok, standard waffle fries but these were overcooked and a little bland. The Mozzarella sticks were ok but I don't think that they were quite worth the $10 price tag. One other thing I didn't like was that there weren't any buzzers or a place to put in your number to get notified when your order is ready. This is inside of food court and the restaurant is kind of tucked away in a corner with not a lot of seating. Staff call out your name when your order is ready but I feel like unless you can find seating around the area it's not ideal. Overall it's not bad but definitely could use improvement.

I came across a great place! I had a little time to spare and noticed they offered cocktails. I tried the Whiskey Sour and waffle fries. Yuliana made one of the best Whiskey Sours I've ever had. Make sure to visit her when she's working. She is absolutely wonderful!

I had a steak and cheese sandwich here, which was like a Philly cheesesteak. The sandwich was really good and I liked the waffle fries too. The cocktail I had was refreshing and went well with the sandwich. The restaurant was in a food court so the atmosphere was casual. The service was great. I would definitely recommend the sandwiches here.

I had maybe one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had here- and in a town of great breakfast sandwiches that's a high bar! I love that they're served all day, too! Superette has a great sandwich menu with a few different side options- I went with a hash brown, but you could also do fries or chips. It's located on the bottom floor of the Ballston Quarter food court, and there's a good amount of seating around the counter. You order at a kiosk with tablets and then your name/order is called- they also offer a cup of water with your sandwich which was appreciated. I'd come back to try other sandwiches- but I'd probably just end up getting the breakfast sandwich again :)

Yum, yum, and yum! We got the short rib sandwich which was slow cooked with curry and had a very ambiguous almost lamb-like flavor - different and delicious. We also had the Reuben which may be my all time favorite sandwich. Every Reuben is either good or better and this one was better even though it could've used a bit more sauerkraut. And finally the BLT-ish, which I wouldn't even really say was "ish" because the bacon was overshadowed by the tasty pork. BLTs seem to shine due to their simplicity and this was a little too complex to qualify, but that's exactly my style anyways. The prices were just right for a nice cafeteria setting in a heavily transited area of Arlington. You really can't go wrong. Btw go for the fries over the salad for both portion size and quality.

We recently had date night at Ballston Quarter Market and sampled through several establishments. This one was our favorite. The short rib sandwich is deeeelicious and packed with flavor! The ancho-braised & pulled short rib was so tender and juicy. It paired really well with the bitter arugula and creamy avocado. I also really liked the bread, which sandwiched all the fillings together perfectly and without any of the filling spilling out. I got the waffle fries as a side and they were crispy and perfect potato-to-fry ratio. We also tried the sangrias - red for him and white for me. This was a blend of wine, brandy, passion fruit, lemon, simple syrup and aromatic bitters. Very refreshing and delicious as well. Will definitely be back!

So I got this SUPER NICE note from Arris, one of the partners at Superette. So, while we still are doing a remake on the Ruben- the way they handled the interaction, is completely worth a +1 in my book. It means they CARE about the food, service and ambiance here. And who wouldn't want them to succeed! (I sure do!)

Heard great things about the sandwiches at this food stall inside Ballston Quarter and decided to give it a try. I got their signature Short Rib Sandwich. Braised shor rib is topped with Gruyère cheese, avocado, arugula and chipotle aioli. A very rich and tasty sandwich, great for a quick bite!

    Chicken and Onion Steak Sandwich.

Ate lunch at Superette on a weekday at noon. Had the chicken cheesesteak and waffle fries. Both were excellent. The onions and the sauce on the sandwich made it flavorful and moist. Bread was good. Price wasn't bad. $15 for the sandwich, fries, tip and tax. Not bad. Serving was good but not huge. I wish the place was in a real store. I find the food hall at Balston a little underwhelming. There's always a closed stall or restaurant and it's a bit dark. Hopefully they will be so successful they can move to a regular storefront. That means if you're considering going, go please! Ha.

This place has completely fallen off, I really hope I caught them on a bad day. I've been here several times and everything is normally amazing! I ordered the bbq pork sandwich with fries. Total came to about $14. There were maybe 2 tablespoons of bland pulled pork, a sprinkle of bland dry cabbage and 3 huge onion rings. It was essentially an onion ring sandwich. The fries were ICE COLD. I wish I would've checked the food before pulling out the parking garage because I took one bite of the sandwich and tossed it in the trash. This could be the diet gods punishing me for a mid week cheat meal but either way I am extremely disappointed!!

Don't hate us; that was spread over two visits. Everything tasted great, though next time I think we'll graduate to the real menu. The wines we've tried so far were either inexpensive or not bad. For inexpensive, I've had glasses of their $3 Tempranillo. While it wasn't great, I've paid a lot re for much worse. For "not bad", my wife had the $10 Buehler Cab. I went for the first time back in October and I had a good time. The drinks were competitively price for Arlington proportions but the food AND cocktail menu are just painfully limited. If you're ordering just standard bar drinks like a domestic draft beer or a shot of tequila you're fine, but a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu? Seriously? The biggest attraction of this bar is the mechanical bull. But the caveat is that you need to get a ticket to ride it which costs $5. Not terrible pricing but considering PBR at Power Plant Live in Baltimore has a mechanical bull (and more space but will get to that in a bit) it feels like a slap in the face. But again it's $5 and I'm going to presume that money goes towards maintenance of the mechanical bull ride anyway. Also depending on what day and time you go be prepared to be packed like sardines. There's three rooms one of which is a dedicated dance floor. And the room farthest from the entrance, about 85% of the room is taken up by the mechanical bull. The first time I went there was no room in the mechanical bull room because they blocked off 5% of it for some group party reservation. We went up to the rooftop which was a bit more spacious but naturally if it's cold outside or raining you're obviously not going up there. Overall, BOE has potential but a limited food menu, and even more limited cocktail menu, and small indoor space makes this an easy bar to skip when there's a line out the door.

Very laid-back atmosphere, 90s and early 2000s pop on the music, comfortable seating, and good food. The prices were reasonable. This is one area that I think we are just going to have to deal with for quite some time. The give-and-take of prices,. Smothered tater tots, pancakes, two hotdogs with some tater tots, and three drinks came out to ~$55. NOT. BAD. Was it worth it? If this had been just a normal restaurant, I would've said no. It would've been more worth it if it had been about $40. But... nobody made us pay to use the board games, or the card games, and we sat there for three hours and had a really good time. So based on that, the fact they provide a venue for playing these games and hanging out for a few hours makes it all worth it. Really strange thing was that there was this balding guy with a beard that randomly showed up as a waiter. We had been dealing with a bartender, so this guy, kind of rude came on to us and we weren't sure what to do with him. He kind of blocked me from paying the bartender. Rude. Not a hangout spot every day, but certainly once a week, maybe once a month or more, definitely a place to meet up if you got a group. I was really surprised by the diversity of the people that were there. A lot of chess players, a whole table of middle-aged women, lots of different people playing games. I would give them five stars, but not quite perfect. The rude guy at the end was so odd. Otherwise, great location, great parking, the food was good, good value, and fun.
