I was surprised with the quality of food and drinks at this restaurant. I had a reservation for a Saturday night. When I arrived, it was pretty crowded and social. I arrived early, and the hostess apologized that my table wasn't ready yet, so she asked me to wait. However, there are seats at the bar that was full service, so I was invited to sit there. My bartender suggested the popular ginger margarita (11 dollars). It was shaken to perfection and it was tasty. The ginger flavor was strong and almost tasted like a Moscow mule, but with tequila instead. The tequila was also pretty strong enough to give me a couple buzzes. Chips and salsa were given as well, and they came pretty hot and fresh. I knew I was in for some good food after tasting the well made chips and really good salsa. I ordered a mix of verde and suiza enchiladas (19.5 dollars), which came with rice and beans. Everything came separately, because the enchiladas took a whole plate. I tasted the Suiza enchiladas, and it had a burst of flavor. It's hard to describe, but it really made my taste buds happy. When I ate it with the Spanish rice, I then noticed some heat. My mouth was tingling with some spices and pepper. I felt the burn, and loved it. I think it must have came from the rice. The refried beans was also amazing. It looked creamy and was topped with cheese. I normally don't like beans, but this one was so good to resist. I was full after one enchilada, so I took the verde one home. I did that a bite of it, and it was just as amazing as the suiza. With all the great food, I had to do dessert. The tres leches (9 dollars), was the popular one. It looked beautiful when it came, but I was a bit worried the cake would have crumbled with all the milk sauce that was there. Nope, it was so moist that the cake soaked in the milky flavors from the sauce, making me going mmmm. It was light enough for me to finish, and I should have drank all that delicious milk sauce from the bottom. I tried my best, but I got too full. For a Tex-Mex restaurant, I was surprised with the great quality of food and drinks. The service was excellent here. My bartender provided great suggestions, and was so helpful. Management also came to check up with the diners. I was happy that I asked whether the beans were vegetarian, and they told me it had pork. So they were so nice to give me black beans (pure vegetarian) to go so my mom can enjoy. I was also given a coupon for a free pancake when visiting for brunch. The people here are very social, but not too loud. The wall was showing a college football game, and there was some seating upstairs too. Gender neutral bathrooms were available, and were ok. The soap in the bathroom smelled very nice though. For a Tex-Mex restaurant that came from a chain, I was honestly expecting just above average food that dims down the spices for the people who can't handle the heat. I was surely wrong. This is the best one I tried in Orlando so far, and even beats more authentic and good ones like Agave Azul. And even the prices are quite reasonable. We got a cozy corner behind the breeze blocks where we basically had private dining. The layout and decor gave fun but chill vibes, and the staff was attentive and friendly while still giving us space to go along with the laid back ambiance. Drinks were delicious and so refreshing with many components made in house, both alcoholic and not, & an adorable cactus in one! Apps were also delicious with the guac and their housemade tortillas stealing the show. Everything we ordered from flautas to tacos and the ambitious Rico style upgrade was fantastic and so filling. The flavors were great and there were plenty of options regardless of protein choice or spice level, plus corn tortillas available for the gluten-free. This place is a nice lil gem with food bursting with flavour. Our server, Eli was the best at offering suggestions for eats and bevy's. My friend and I both had the mezcal old fashioned and it was on point and the price ($13 at the moment) was in our comfort budget. I ate the quesadillas as my meal even though it was technically an appetizer and the serving was big. I don't eat meat and it was no problem to switch chicken for black beans without the fear of losing out on flavour. The tortillas tasted fantastic as they are made in house as well. We made a reservation for a Saturday night and I am glad we did as it was quite busy when we arrived. We had to wait about 30 minutes past our reservation time, which was not super thrilling, but we grabbed a margarita and sat out in the cold for our table. We were finally sat in the upstairs area and had great service. I absolutely loved that Superica gives individual salsa bowls. Both of the salsas they brought out were amazing! I do judge a Mexican spot based on chips and salsa and these hit the spot. We also ordered queso which was also delicious. All of the menu items sounded so good! I went with two shrimp tacos and a pork belly taco! Both were super yummy!! It was a great experience other than having to wait for our reserved table, but the staff were doing their best to accommodate everyone. Brunched with my sisters at Superica for the first time, and it was a pretty good experience! We shared the hotcakes, which were MASSIVE and delicious (I forgot to take a photo). Honestly, we could've easily split them between the three of us and still had leftovers. Perfect if you're hungry or want to share. I went with the huevos rancheros from the brunch menu, and it was really good--flavorful and filling. The regular menu was still available though. My mimosa was supposed to come with homemade agua fresca, but I mainly tasted the champagne. Not bad, just not what I expected. I'm definitely interested in coming back to try their lunch specials. Superica really surpassed my expectations on some foods and didn't live up to what I had hoped on others. The queso fundido is amazing and the handmade tortillas are an absolute must try as well. My friends ordered some steak dishes that they thought were fine and I will say the migas wasn't as tasty either. But overall a good food experience. Very affordable in a comfortable atmosphere with friendly waiters and an endless supply of chips and salsa. Definitely a good place whether you are on a date or hanging out with a group of friends. I prefer my Tex Mex to be slathered in cheese and sauce. Superica did not disappoint! I got Chicken Enchiladas and the plate was swimming in a cheese sauce. It was fantastic. It came with some good Mexican rice to soak up all that sauce plus some fantastic refried beans. They also have black beans if you ask for it. My wife had the veggie fajita tray and that was equally great with perfectly roasted vegetables. Finally, I had their signature margarita and it was fantastic although a tad pricey. We had such high hopes for this place, and if they could improve on the food this would be a great place to share a meal. I was so excited that we got to sit on the second floor lol! For my entree I got the street style tacos and did 2 al pastor and 1 barbacoa. This is sort of long... Here's what happened prior to going to Superica. If I could give zero stars I would. Most unprofessional experience I've ever had. Showed up with a reservation about 30 minutes early. They said we'd have wait the full 30 since they were packed. Fair enough. We went a waited in the car for the 30 minutes. I asked another server if they could find ours at which time he said "of course, I'll go find them, thanks for being so patient!" Adding the pat on my back. Unacceptable, pure sarcasm. My wife looked at and said this isn't gonna be good. I still held out for another 10 minutes. No one showed. We left. Look at my other reviews. This is first. Do not recommend! However, we went to Superica after we left (10 minutes away), and they were amazing. That's a place I'll go back to!!! Riley was amazing! Now.. here's how it went at Superica. From the front, WITH NO RESERVATION. The staff was amazing! Had us sat in a minute and Riley showing up within 2 minutes. Our kids were super hungry after being at Disney all day and he accommodated by getting their orders out really fast. The food and drinks both virgin and you know, were great! I thought the special sauce that came with fajitas was something divine, but it turns out it was just melted butter. ALL of the food was delicious! Hats off to the chef and all the kitchen staff! We visited Superica for the first time this past weekend. We ordered two appetizers, Nachos with refried beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce and sliced jalapeños ($12) and Queso Fundido which is broiled chihuahua and Monterrey Jack cheese served with flour tortillas ($12) and two iced teas. Both appetizers were tasty and enough for the two of us. We were also served complimentary tortilla chips with a green tomatillo salsa and a creamy green salsa. Everything tasted great and service was as attentive as we wanted and needed. The dining room was fairly large indoors and well lit, featuring a large bar. They also have covered outdoor seating just off of the sidewalk. Restrooms are unisex, individual private rooms that were clean and roomy. We really enjoyed this restaurant and our server too. I've only been for brunch a few times but not dinner because the dinner menu is a little overpriced in my opinion. The decor in the restaurant is very modern and beautiful though! And our servers were very kind but kind of slow... we did see a lot of chit chat happening behind the bar between servers and bartenders but I shouldn't assume that's the reason why service was slow. You get complimentary chips and 2 different salsas. We ordered Queso Fundido with chorizo. All I need in my life is some melty cheese and meat with some tortillas to scoop it up so this was great for me! I ordered Tamales & Eggs for my brunch entree and these were also yummy. It wasn't too busy any of the times that I came for brunch. Our drinks did take a while to come out which was confusing because again it wasn't too busy when we were dining in. One of my friends had ordered the Pink Cadillac margarita and she said it was disappointing for being an $18 drink. If you're going to drink there, we've decided the way to go is to get the Agua Fresca del Dia and ask them to add some vodka or tequila in it. They were really good! They have had a different Agua Fresca del Dia every time that I've come in that is homemade. I'd come back to slam so boozy Agua Frescas and have a small plate/appetizer/split an entree... but I don't think I'd come back for anything else besides that. read more

One of my new favorite places to go in Winter Park! The red salsa is off the hook delicious and one of the best I've had. I'm not gonna lie. It comes right up against Torchy's tacos red salsa. These are the two best salsas in the area. I've been to Superica in Atlanta and was so delighted one opened here in central Florida. I've been here a few times and mostly come for the drinks and the chips and salsa. The chips are light, fresh and perfectly crispy. Perfect for having a pre-meal beverage with them. Have enjoyed their different flavors of Agua Fresca and the food is pretty good too. I usually stick to their tacos or a quesadilla. Love their lunch special too. Definitely stop in to this Winter Park location, I feel like it's highly underrated in the area and a secret gem. The service is fantastic and the inside is a beautiful hang out. For starters , parking lot is a bit smaller than I expected , but it was a Saturday night so spots were limited. Just from the outside of the franchise , I assumed that the design was beautiful and very modernized. We had queso fundido with chorizo...a little difficult to eat, as the cheese was so stretchy, but it was worth the effort. I had the crispy chile relleno, and my husband had the steak quesedilla...both yummy! The Revolver tasted like an Old Fashioned and an espresso martini had a baby, and my husband's margaritas tasted fresh, thanks to the lime juice, and not overly sweet. I'd never heard of Superica but after checking out reviews...I knew I had to try this restaurant, and let me tell you, I was so happy that I did! Although, there are many locations throughout the south, I'm glad that our local Superica is in nearby Winter Park. If you love Tex-Mex or if you're looking for a great brunch spot, you won't be disappointed! Came here for a birthday brunch today with the girls. It was my first visit as well. First off, the restaurant is beautiful! I love how open it is- there is also a second floor seating area. They serve brunch on the weekends, but you can also order from their regular menu. We all decided on ordering from the brunch menu. I ordered the Migas plate which was eggs, chorizo, corn tortillas and cheese served with frijoles and extra corn tortillas. I thought it was delicious with a little kick! Two of my friends ordered the chilaquiles. Although great flavor, they both said the dish was wayyyy too spicy for their liking. If you don't like spicy, this is probably a dish to stay away from.
