Honestly, avoid this vendor. Michael Pordes has no sense of professionalism or responsibility. Upon initially doing business with him, he provided me with my first ear piece with no issue. He was very communicative and the process was very smooth I reached out to him to order a second ear piece a month after I received my initial ear piece. I wanted an exact duplicate of the first one and figured it would be a simple matter as he had informed me that my ear impression was kept on record digitally. This is when issue arose after issues after issue. He was very unresponsive to my inquiries. He finally got around to "placing the order" but I received no information for months. After months, I finally managed to get a hold of him and he said he had forgotten to place the order. After the order, he inconveniently calls me in the afternoon of NYE to collect my billing information. This was annoying but I was willing to move past it as long as I received my earpiece. When I received my earpiece however, it was not correct. It was different from my original ear piece as it had a flange that made it difficult to wear. I needed this fixed as I use the earpiece for work. I reached out to him by email....crickets. Called him and left him voicemails....no returns. I finally get a hold of him by phone and he says he's at a restaurant and says he cannot talk. In hindsight, I am a fool for continuing to do business with him after he was so unprofessional with my second order. I only continued to try to place the order through him so that I could avoid having another ear impression. BIG MISTAKE. Please learn from me and these other negative reviews. This review isn't about their products as I have yet to receive them but more about their service. (I will update my review when I get my custom ear plugs.) I called them up and asked when they would be in my area next which happened to be the next day. I was expecting to meet them at some local coffee shop when they were done with their event but to my surprise they offered to come to my place. From the time they arrived it took about 10 minutes to finish up the whole process including answering all my questions and explaining the differences in the types of plugs they offer. The prices were also lower than anything from audiologists in my area which was another nice bonus. I purchased the Tunz Audio monitor's from Micheal (CEO of Superior Sound Technology) 1st- These aren't your ordinary earbuds, they were custom made for my ears. The quality of sound is mind blowing. I currently have the Mackie HR824MKII studio monitors, and I also use the beyerdynamic DT770 cans for vocal recording. These Tunz earbuds that I bought from Superior sound Technology are on par with these other reference monitors that I currently use in my studio. These Tunz are small, and easy to carry around. I also opted for the iphone adapter so that I can use these to talk on the phone too as a wired headset with my android phone. The callers said that I sound fine on the other end. Michael offered SUPERB service. He is very trustworthy and knowledgeable. He is experienced and knows his product well. He is very patient and was able to work with me. I didn't have my ears cleaned out properly, due to having a swimmer's ear condition. Micheal was able to help me realize my problem, and encouraged me to see my doctor to have my ears professionally cleaned. WOW this was a huge help. Now with my ears clean I can hear everything very crisp and sharp. Not muffled. After michael did the earmold to get the shape of my ears , that is when he showed me that I have swimmer's ear. Even though my ear canal is narrow these monitors fit perfect. Micheal had to meet with me several times, and I'm thankful that he was able to work with me and meet me at my convenience and in a location that was mutually convenient. I really had no knowledge of my own ears before this... now, I feel like I understand why not to use Q-Tips.... and how to have proper ear hygiene. This was invaluable. If you are a motorcyclist who wears off the shelf earplugs do yourself a favor and buy a pair of custom plugs. I bought my first pair about 8 years ago and they have become my nighttime can't-hear-the -wife-snore plugs. I bought another pair for the bike and then another pair for traveling. They are great on a plane. The original pair have more hours on them than the beach has grains of sand, they don't seem to wear out. With three pair I feel like I'm set for life. I bought the plugs for use on the shooting range and for inside of my motorcycle helmet on street rides and on the track. The fit is excellent and it does not interfere with the padding inside of a full face helmet. I wish I bought this product 25 years ago because I'm sure it would have saved me from the some of the hearing loss I've sustained from loud motorcycles and hunting trips. I bought earplugs for concerts, specially ones with really loud electronic music. Michael came to my work in Fremont and took the molds, which was painless and fast. I ended up getting the musicians earplugs, which were a little more expensive but absolutely worth it because you get 2 different sized filters! The sound quality is amazing, and I can still talk to people in a close range. There's tons of different colors and a few sizes, and I chose 3/4 Champagne which is a sparkly gold color which is super pretty. Highly recommend this company. read more

I bought musicians ear plugs from Superior Sound years ago. I have been very happy with the product and highly recommend for anyone that is around loud music. If you frequent concerts, night clubs this is a must if you want to save your hearing. It is basically like listening to the music at the perfect volume. If your ears are ringing after the concert or club you are doing damage. Tunz ear buds When I finally got tired of messing around with all the ear buds out there that claim great sound. I called Michael and said I was ready to buy the Tunz ear buds. It was the simple my ear molds were already on file, the custom ear buds showed up a few weeks later. If you want to just listen to the music you are playing ,these are the ones for you . You place in your ear and because they are molded to your ear only, the outside world disappears. Questionable business ethics! There are better people to do business with. In a market where competitive pricing is fairly standard, customer service is truly what separates different businesses. I ran into superior sound technology at Infineon Raceway during the NASCAR race weekend. Being a professional event photographer working mainly with musicians, I have gone through multiple sets of very expensive custom ear molds and needed another pair, so I thought I would give them a try. At a fraction of the cost of my previous pair, I have gotten a truly superior product. They are a lot more comfortable than my previous pairs and they were made by some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable people I've met. Purchased custom earbuds earlier this year (Tunz) from Mike. Great customer service. I met Mike and his wife at a local Starbucks. Mike made time for me after he spent his day at Tesla fitting their employees. I spent $400 on my earphones. Sounds expensive but well worth it. Boils down to price per use, and I use mine everyday! The sound quality is amazing. I never have to worry about them slipping out of my ear when i'm running. I tried all types of earphones on the market; even ones that guarantee not to fall out. Michael did an awesome job with my earplugs! It took a while for us to set up a meeting since I was so busy. I was finally able to find a day that we could both meet up in SF and the whole thing only took about 20 minutes max. Some of it was paper work and choosing the color and preparation. It does feel a bit funky at first because he inserts a little cotton square to prevent the molding from shooting into your ear and out the other! He then injects the molding into your ear slowly. You'll feel some pressure build up but it's not painful or anything. After that, you just sit there quietly for 5 minutes. He says absolutely no talking or moving of the mouth or it will change the shape of your ear canal and mess up the molding. During the 5 minutes, it sort of feels like a different world, you can barely hear anything. When he takes the mold off, it sort of feels like you just came up from diving under water. He shipped the molds very quickly and I received them in about a 6 days. I tried them on immediately and they felt great, a lot better than your standard earplug. I haven't tried it while riding my motorcycle yet though. read more

Michael and his products are great. I couldn't be more pleased. I wear them as often as possible because I'm concerned about premature hearing loss. Michael does a custom fitting and stands behind his products. I have purchased two different types of products from him: 1) the Tunz 'headphones' / monitors and 2) the Hocks Noisebrakers 'earplugs'. The Noisebrakers are amazing technology. I can wear them and hear normal conversations yet have solid ear protection next to the loudest machinery for work (ship engines get loud!) The Tunz are especially great when I'm riding my motorcycle because I can wear them, have hearing protection, and with my bluetooth helmet, I can listen to music, podcasts, phone calls, etc and know the plugs won't come out. I have been using the Superior Sound Technology ear plugs for 2 years now. As an avid target shooter I can attest to the fit, comfort, and sound deadening quality of this product. I will be using this product to protect my basic sense of hearing for the simple reason that it works. For shooters how shoot rifles with muzzle brakes I recommend having double baffles installed in your ear plugs. This product is great. read more

I have purchased the ear plugs and earbuds. I am a heavy equipment operator, and the ear plugs work amazingly. They also work very well for swimming. I wear my earbuds while riding my motorcycle. The quality of sound is superb! I would recommend both to everyone. It may be costly but worth the bucks. Also, they stand behind there product.
