These guys are really efficient and on top of things…read more Our car tires were 9yrs old and were showing signs of sidewall micro cracks even though there was plenty of treadwear left, and the TPMS system was acting up, likely because of age (12yrs old). So it was time. I went to the Costco site and looked at their cheapest option (BFGoodrich) and it would have been roughy $600 out the door, but I'd have to deal with lines/crowd, longer wait times, and it's unlikely they could have turned around everything the next day (we had some time constraints). I had used another location of America's Tire to replace some tires on our other car and had a good experience, so I looked on their site again to see what was available at the closest location to me (Campbell). The thing with America's Tire (and affiliated Discount Tire) is they have major brands make "custom" models for them, so it's more difficult to directly compare price. I chose the Yokohama YK-GTX, which was the recommended brand on their site. But no one else sells this, so you can't price match or easily directly compare. Per Gemini AI, the closest equivalent is AVID Ascend GT, which sells for a similar price at other retailers and has good reviews. Gemini thought the YK-GTX was a solid tire, so that was reassuring too. As it happens, America's Tire also had a $80 off a set of 4 promotion, so that helped lower the price. When comparing pricing against someplace like Costco, with the $80 off, it was actually a bit cheaper for what is probably an equivalent or better tire, so the pricing/value is good here. The price distribution between tire and installation is different - the tires are cheaper here, but they charge for installation, but the out the door price was very similar to Costco, actually better IMO. Then the TPMS sensors. . .you save on labor and only pay for the sensors if you do it at the same time you change your tires, so if your sensors are 9-10+yrs old and original and you're going to change your tires, it's something to think about. For price matching on the sensors, they do do that and I did get that done. Initially, I brought an ad in for a name brand (Schraeder) functionally equivalent to their $69 sensors, but they said they weren't the same, and said they'd put in one of two options they do carry and showed me the options. I was able to look up one of the options online and find a better price and they matched it no hassle at all. So price matching is an option for something like this that isn't a custom-made model only for them, so keep that in mind. When I drove up for my appointment, they actually had a reserved space with my name on it since I had made an appointment. It made it easy to know where to park and psychologically, it made me feel a tiny bit special. :). So that was a nice touch. And they got me in and out, since I had a reservation, in about 30 minutes. To replace all 4 tires, the TPMS sensors, etc. That was great! The service person who gave me the keys told me to take advantage of bringing it back every 5-6K for the included tire rotation. So couldn't ask for anything more! Great experience and it's nice to know there's a good valued, good customer service, efficient tire place close to home.

My boyfriend took my car to this shop last Thursday, August 27, and replaced all four tires with…read morethe exact model recommended by the staff. Today, August 31 less than a week later the low tire pressure warning light popped up on my dashboard. I went back to the shop today to have it checked out. The employee who assisted me (I didn't get his name, but I know his face) checked my tire pressure but did absolutely nothing else. Instead of looking for a leak or a faulty valve, he told me that my tires are "cheap." He completely ignored the fact that his own shop recommended, sold, and installed these brand-new tires just four days ago. He made me reset my tire pressure monitoring system and sent me on my way. I told him that if this light comes back on, I will be returning. At this point, I would gladly take my old tires back, get a refund, and take my business to a different shop that won't insult the products they sell.
