Andrew came and cleaned my carpets for the second time yesterday (January 13, 2011.) He has hired a partner to help him with the cleaning and they were even faster and better than the first time. My rugs have pet stains on them and Andrew made them look like new! They were careful with my furniture and items that needed to be moved for a thorough cleaning. Put an appointment in for Superlative Steam Cleaning to clean my inlaw unit, to prepare it for my official move-out date. Andrew informed me that he was arriving late when he got stuck in traffic, which was highly appreciative (can't fault somebody for Marin County traffic!). andrew amato has cleaned our carpets for almost 3 years. he always goes above and beyond (like taking extra time to get out tough stains and not charging for it). he is extremely thorough and highly meticulous - he even brings wall-corner-protectors so that the cleaning machine hosing doesn't damage your walls. i believe his cleaners are non toxic and biodegradable. he's totally likable and friendly. also, he's really really affordable. he just does a great job, period. read more

All five stars go for an amazing and rarely found commitment to customer service. NOT a clean carpet (yet) but that's not Andrew's fault... Here's the sob story: I walk into my son's room and see a stain about the size of a quarter that looks like black ink on his pale carpet. I do the ultimate bonehead move and try to scrub it up with Resolve. The result? A stain about the size of a salad plate that looks like black ink on his pale carpet. From all the Yelp reviews I decide to try Andrew and he: 1) Responds within 30 minutes to the phone message I left late Friday afternoon 2) Comes over and spends 1/2 an hour scrubbing that sucker 3) When he leaves (it looks awesome) he says "if the stain comes back up when it dries call me again and I'll come back for free" 4) OK, the darn stain does come back up and he comes back, as promised, for free, on SATURDAY, right after I call him 5) When he left for the second time he said it again... "If it comes back again call me again -- I'll come back again." Now THAT is service. If he wanted to, the first time he came over, he could have said, like most services do "I can't make any promises, I'll take a shot at it but that's quite a stain you managed to spread all over that pale carpet" and walked happily away with his $50. But he stands behind his work, even when the stain is MY fault. Plus, he is pleasant, prompt, neat...and didn't even seem to mind my over-protective dog. read more
