It sounded great, and their website looked good, and the reviews here were excellent. So today we tried it out, visiting at an odd-ish time (4pm). The decor is fantastic. Stone walls, murals, a cozy fireplace at the front, a gorgeous bar, a cute patio, a large and open interior. The menu is not overwhelmingly large but large enough to have lots of options, mostly for traditional Greek fare (think: souvlakis, Greek salads, dips and pitas, various grilled seafoods, lamb dishes, etc). (Note: I did not see my favorite moussaka on the menu, surprisingly). We ordered and shared a trio of dips with warm pita, a chicken souvlaki and a plate of fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. The taramasalata dip was, for me, the hit of the show. Wow, was it good! (It tasted like the most delicious smoked salmon dip imaginable, with a bit of pink caviar on top). The breads were wonderful (pita and bruschetta slices). Even the fries were fresh and hot and perfectly cooked. (They also offer the typical lemony Greek potato wedges, if that's your preference). Our server was super nice and attentive. What was really awesome here was how they accommodate people with celiac issues. They always do their fried potatoes in a separate fryer so they are always gluten-free, and the server was very knowledgable about the ingredients in every dish. She even brought out a plate of cucumber spears so my celiac friend could enjoy the dips, too. Super thoughtful! I thought the prices here were quite reasonable. My only suggestion for this restaurant is: it'd be fantastic if they had some sort of happy hour specials. When we arrived today, there was only one other dining party out on the patio. The entire restaurant interior was empty, save for my dining party. I know 4pm is an odd time, but perhaps if they had a HH menu, they could get more people in the place at this hour. It was a little disconcerting, being the only occupied table in this large, open restaurant. Just a thought! I came here on a Thursday evening with my mom and we ordered the following: Mirza Ghasemi (Smoked Eggplant Dip) Breaded Shrimps Veggie Mosamma Bademjan The Mirza Ghasemi appetizer came with one piece of bread which my mom and I split into half. It was a warm and tasty appetizer. I was a bit surprised at how quickly it was served to us, but found no fault with the dish and sooner is better than later. With only one piece of bread for this appetizer, there was plenty leftover to bring home afterwards. Mom's Breaded Shrimps dish was super crispy. It was basically like a Prawn Tempura in a Japanese restaurant but a lot crispier than that. I think my daughter would love this dish and will have to bring her to this restaurant so she can order it for herself sometime. My Veggie Mosamma Bademjan was served with a very generous portion of Tahdig (Crispy Persian Rice) and it was the most beautiful plate of Tahdig I have ever seen. I've seen basic versions of Tahdig online. A basic version would be white rice on the bottom with a golden crust on top. This one had the white rice and golden crust on top, along with a sprinkling of dried barberries, something green (pistachio or pumpkin seeds?), and grains of dark pink rice scattered around the edge of the plate. It was so colourful and quite the sight to behold. Service could have been a bit better. Our server wasn't rude or anything like that. Just that I felt like I had to constantly stick my hand up and wave it in the air to get attention. Would have been nice if our server had simply been more attentive to us, without me having to wave my hand in the air. Food was awesome though. We will definitely come back again sometime.

When we arrived , manager said restaurant could not control customer who stayed at patio because of world cup crowds. I totally understand the situation, it was unusually busy event day, however, we hope restaurant should remove patio reservation from the booking system during event time.
