We stopped in Surf Bagel on our way to rent a U-Haul, and I am so happy did! When we walked in, there was a long line, wrapping through the store and I was worried we would be waiting a long time, but they do push through the orders very quickly. I ordered an onion bagel with garlic cream cheese and it was so good. I would have gladly eaten two of them! They did put a lot of cream cheese on it, so I wiped around half off of it. My fiance was a little disappointed because they ran out of the bagel that he wanted, so they put his breakfast sandwich on a plain bagel rather than asking him if he wanted something else. read more

We love surf bagel. My husband I have a breakfast date there every Friday morning when I arrive at the beach for the weekend. The bagels are amazing but they also have a ton of breakfast and lunch options on the menu. The coffee is amazing and roasted right next door. I cannot begin to express my love for all things Surf Bagel. We came here on a whim while we were staying at our family's beach house in Dewey a few months ago, and now we are hooked!! The bagels are some of the best we've ever had! I also love their coffee, which is roasted in the building in the front of Surf Bagel. You MUST try the jalapeno bagel with cream cheese! I LOVE this place! They have the best breakfast sandwiches (I opt for egg and cheese on an everything bagel) and the service is fast. In fact their service was so fast that my husband and I stopped in on a Wednesday morning, placed our order and just as we finished paying they called our name because our food was ready. We also stopped in on a Sunday morning on our way out of town and although the line was about 15 people deep it moved quickly and we had our food within 10 minutes of walking in. Everything about Surf Bagel is as good as it gets. Locally owned, and staffed by year-round locals so you won't get the usual August slump in service. On weekend mornings the ordering line can be ten deep or more but don't let it put you off. They are well staffed with experienced people so it moves quickly. This is now twice in the last time in the last month that my order was wrong. Now they are charging 35 cents to use a credit card on any order under $10 (which is almost ALL breakfast items). What a rip off. I think they do enough business without trying to gouge the customer with the credit card fee. That's poor business ethic. I will go somewhere else. read more

Good for the area.Coffee is terrible. Seating is limited. Breakfast burritos can get really soggy. They give you Chips with your sandwich that seem a little on the stale side. Never get the everything bagel with the garlic cream cheese(OVERLOAD!). Probably the best you will find in the area. read more
