This place was popping on the Fifth of July. Their service was great as they had an influx of many orders and were still able to get everyone their food and beverages at a timely manner. My bacon egg and cheese wasn't anything crazy, the bacon was really good though. For how the restaurant felt, I would say like your go-to beach breakfast spot. As a lot of the people that were in there seemed to have frequented it.

Always a great experience at Surf Bagel! My only wish is that they'd switch to better gluten free bagels like some of the other bagel shops we love. Overall it's always delicious! And great for a quick bite. I don't go as much as I used to because I started making my own GF bagels. But when we're in a pinch I'm happy to stop here!

This is a great option for very good bagels near the Five Points intersection in Lewes! My wife and I shared the nova lox and cream cheese bagel (plain). One son had the breakfast burrito, and the other son had a steak and egg bagel (plain). Everyone was pleased with the bagels which had a nice texture overall. Parking can be a bit crazy on Sunday mornings when it's super-busy, so be sure to pack your patience. The interior has limited seating but most folks are here to pickup their "grab-n-go" bagel sandwich orders.

A Solid Bagel Stop in Lewes I've eaten at Surf Bagel before, so on the way home from a recent business trip I decided to stop again and grab breakfast to go. I ordered a sesame bagel with egg, cheese, and scrapple, along with a hash brown. The bagel was nicely toasted and very fresh, which is really what you hope for when you're stopping at a place that specializes in bagels. The sandwich itself was simple but very satisfying. Nothing over the top or crazy fancy, just a well made breakfast sandwich that hit the spot. The service was friendly and quick, and the place itself has a unique feel to it. Inside they sell quite a bit of Surf Bagel merchandise, which gives it a fun local vibe beyond just being a bagel counter. I included a few photos because the shop has a cool look to it. I stopped in around 9 in the morning and it was still pretty busy, even during the off season. That tells me this place probably gets packed during the summer months. Overall, everything was fresh, the staff was nice, and it's definitely a place I'd stop at again when I'm in the area.

It's Wednesday morning ordered for delivery. A bacon egg and cheese bagel lightly toasted. Was delivered quickly. I'm glad they offered scrambled eggs, I'm visiting from Florida and I never seen scrambled eggs offered as a choice for bagels back home. Food was good.

We were on our way back home from the beach and wanted a quick bite to eat, when I say this is not a place you want to skip!! From the bright, open spaced welcoming ambiance, to the super friendly service, yummy fresh bagels, crispy yet soft potatoes, and last but not least the breakfast burritos that are stuffed perfectly! 10/10 recommend You won't be disappointed.

Love coming to Surf Bagel anytime we are in town. They have the best bagels and burritos! I usually get the bacon egg and cheese bagel, lox and cream cheese with capers or the beach burrito. The beach burrito has avocado, spinach, egg and cheese. It's a big portion. Sometimes I can save half a bagel for another meal. The kids like the chocolate chip bagel. The inside is decorated with a beachy bagel theme. There are seats and booths inside and also outdoor seating. My husband loves their ice coffee. Will be back again!

What isn't there to say about surf bagel? This is our first stop on the way into Rehobeth every year. We stop another time and then have breakfast on the way. Out of town! There bagels are perfection! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Whether you toasted or not, it is exactly what you want in a bagel. Let's not forget about the cream cheese. Our favorites are scallion and vegetable. My dad wanted to try something new this year so he got the apple cake which hit the spot. It was full of apple slices and with a sweet treat, he was looking for. The lines may be long, but they are efficient and your order gets called within minutes. With multiple locations, you can hit up a surf bagel when you're in the area! The location in Lewes is lots of fun with tables outside.

Great service, delicious food, friendly employees, reasonable prices. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. Was our first time going to a surf bagel and will continue to come back!

Different Cheesesteak'esque sandwich #1193. I got a steak, egg and cheese on everything bagel. November Saturday morning and this place was busy. I liked the surfer decor and names for everything. I read the menu (in my head) in a Keanu Reeve's surfer dude voice. I liked that my sandwich was $8.50. The Chicago dog special looked interesting. I'm curious about the everything bagel roll. My sandwich was good enough. It was a little dry.

I bought the bagel there and made my own sandwich at home, spot on bagel

Ask the Community - Surf Bagel

Anyone else think their bagels are salty?

The everything bagels are definitely salty. Most places don't put salt on everything, but at surf bagel, they take that name seriously. I've switched to wheat, which isn't as salty, but I can still taste salt. I wonder if it's the cream cheese?

With the classic deli line ready to serve you meats and deli treats, plus a restaurant with decor worth grabbing a seat and enjoying your favorite Jewish classics! The walls are covered in caricatures of famous Jewish actors, singers, athletes, and more. The local artists made great depictions of each, but they do have a cheat sheet for anyone that wants to figure out who they all are. The menu is huge... and everything is amazing! We have had the latkes and kugal before, but this time we ordered the Onion Dog, Paul's Reuben, and the Onion Ring/Fries Combo. Don't worry - they start you off with a complimentary bowl of pickles... with a full barrel in plain sight if you have the gumption to need a refill. The Onion Dog is a 1/3 pound beef dog spliced open for a drizzle of onion marmalade and topped with fresh fried onions. I swear this marmalade needs to be jarred asap - as it makes the hot dog one of my favorite bites! Paul's Reuben is clearly a dinner favorite! With 8 oz of fresh sliced corned beef piled high and a delicious sauerkraut and dressing! The Onion Rings/Fries combo seems simplistic, until the heaping basket comes your way - and the more than unique thick spiraled fries. Never have I ever seen these... and they are definitely something to stop in for all on their own. The waitresses are just great people. Asking about your vacation, giving pro tips on how to make your order perfection, and just caring about you like a family member would at a home cooked meal in your kitchen. If you dare have room, the desserts are sliced fresh from a display in the deli - I couldn't help but take pictures of the Skyscraper Cakes (Chocolate and Carrot options). Delivered to another table, this four layer cake was sliced in a 2" tome that looked more like an encyclopedia delivery than a dessert!

The Latkes were good, as were the onion rings. The French fries didn't impress me. The mushroom barley soup was tasty. Pastrami was good, not so much for the corned beef or brisket. I was actually disappointed with the brisket, it tasted by boiled beef. Being a 70+ year old kid from the Bronx who grew up with kosher deli's on every other corner I was spoiled. Nothing is like it used to be. But thankful that places like Rosenfeld's are still around and keeping memories alive. In a week I will be visiting the Bronx again and going to the last kosher deli in the Bronx. So if you're in the Bronx stop by Liebman's. Keep the memories going.

We made it there on our second day and it's clear that this seems to be a favorite to both locals and visitors. Upon arriving, it was pretty difficult to find parking as all of the spots were taken, so we quickly located a spot on the residential street nearby. Walking in, the line was almost to the front door, but I didn't mind as it gave me plenty of time to peruse the menu for coffee and breakfast options. I loved seeing the coffee beans available for purchase as well as some of their merchandise on my way to the counter, in addition to admiring the hand-painted murals and so many cool seating options. The tables have really beautiful woodworking, many of which have raw edges which add a lot of personality. Order up! I opted for an iced latte with an extra shot of espresso (because I definitely needed an energy boost that day) and coconut flavoring, frozen matcha, the breakfast sandwich, and a glazed doughnut. I was really intrigued by the coffee smoothie which was featured and highlighted in multiple spaces. The term "smoothie" threw me off but I discovered from a fellow patron that it's simply a frozen blended coffee and they order it all the time. Loved checking out the outdoor seating options as well as the bar that shares the same local, Mary and Margs (SUCH a great name). Since we came in later in the morning/early afternoon, there were already quite a few people flocking to the barstools, ordering espresso martinis, which looked divine. I have to say that my coffee was delightful, you can tell that the beans were freshly ground and the extra shot of espresso really did the trick for me. The frozen matcha was delicious, 10/10, no notes! Would definitely get that again and would try the coffee smoothie next time. I ate my entire breakfast sandwich because I was starving but was expecting a lot more. The homemade biscuit is what intrigued me the most but I think I've been spoiled with some really amazing housemaid biscuit sandwiches back home so this one really fell short for me; it was kind of hard, a little burnt. All in all, this is a really cute, trendy spot, which seems to attract people of all ages with a very robust menu from morning to evening. Definitely want to come back and check out more items!
