They have a wide selection of bagels, sandwiches and wraps. I had a Pumpernickel Bagel with Nova Lox. The portion was large and very reasonably priced. The staff is very efficient and friendly. Went with a sausage, egg, and cheese with salt, pepper, ketchup, and hot sauce. This lived up to expectations. I grew up in Jersey bagels and this certainly got the job done. They now have everything egg bagels (a dream come true) which are DELICIOUS. Stop what you're doing and go get one! Even on a holiday weekend, the line moved quickly and the staff was pleasant and efficient. They have a variety of cream cheese flavors and I was stoked to see jalapeño on the list as it's my all-time favorite. Unfortunately the cream cheese melted and was super runny on my bagel (probably because it was THAT hot/fresh). I also found the cream cheese to be a little sour for my taste. Surf bagel opened a Milford DE location about three weeks ago. Pretty good at first. Today my wife and I both ordered a breakfast burrito, which we have enjoyed several times before. Today the contexts including egg, cheese, and bacon were cold. Two fountain drinks no ice in the machine. $27 breakfast which we barely ate and tossed in the trash. Beware. Food was excellent. Front register/order taker was slow, rude and unwelcoming. Was in no hurry to end an extended conversation with a "regular". Terrible first impressions as I just moved here full time. I will find another bagel shop, hopefully it will be one that likes customers. read more

Ever since "the take over" Surf Bagel has slipped as the greatest breakfast place. Not only are the small physical changes to entrances and the change to the pet policy strange to me, but the bagel sandwiches are loosing their flare. Today I received one of my usual Malibu Bunny sandwiches only to take my first bite and realize there was a dusting cream cheese, not even enough to get the taste of it. Very disappointed as this is not the first issue I've had, but it has become to straw that broke my back. Had to stop here because I saw they had Taylor Ham, which I have only seen in Jersey and Philly. I got the taylor ham, egg, and cheese, on an everything bagel, and my friend got the smoked salmon and cream cheese on a bagel which came with chips. She got an orange juice bottle as well. I had already had a coffee, but had I known they had blueberry coffee, I would've waited and tried it. Food came out pretty quickly, and we both enjoyed our food. I got the blueberry bagel with cream cheese (they go heavy on the cream cheese) and my husband got the bacon eggs and cheese on a plain bagel. Lines moved fairly quickly however we had called ahead and our order was ready when we got there. There's outdoor seating and social distancing was adhere to. I've had a really good bagel and a shmeer as well as a sausage egg and cheese breakfast bagel I'd write home about but what is advertised as a "Killer Cheesesteak" is anything but. At $10.00 there is almost no reason to buy this sandwich. It's small and had almost no flavor in the meat. Finding a good cheesesteak down here is becoming white whale. When first visiting the area and trying Surf Bagels many years ago, I was wowed by how delicious and similar this establishment was to a legit NYC bagel spot. We used to buy Surf Bagels. I don't know if they've changed since SoDel bought them out or not, but the last time we bought bagels from them, I was disappointed. The dry texture did not inspire me to buy them again. I like bagels with a moister, chewier texture. Have since bought some at Redners in Lewes that were much better. Sorry, Surf Bagel.
