Went to The Surge with my kiddo and we had an absolute blast! The place is huge and there's music playing in the background which really adds to the fun atmosphere. There's so much to do and they even offer party hosting if you're looking for a spot to celebrate. We played for about an hour and a half and spent around $40 for the both of us (including socks, I think). One thing I really appreciated was the area reserved for kids three and under it's nice knowing the little ones have a safe space away from the bigger kids. Overall, we had a great experience. My only downside was the restroom it was pretty disgusting, smelled bad, and definitely wasn't clean. Other than that we really enjoyed our time and would come back. read more

I went in with very low expectations after reading the reviews. I went for a kids birthday party on a Saturday afternoon. It was exactly what you would think. Kids everywhere, very loud and lots for them to do. It did look like a lot of fun. They have sections for the younger kids - 4 and under. Lots of trampolines and foam pits and climbing walls and hoops, dodgeball.....It did seem like the lines were long to get into the place - tickets, socks etc. There was a place to buy water and soda and also what looked like a room in the back for birthday parties. Couches and tables throughout but hard to get on a busy day. I did see staff walking around. I am sure parents like taking there kids here - they probably sleep hard later. read more

Unlimited jump Tuesday's is a way to go. The birthday parties here are well worth it. I think they can clean the place better. There were foam pieces all over the floor and they can sanitize just by seeing the restrooms and the floors. But the experience here is worthwhile for my kiddoes. You have to pay for the socks and it's $16.99 per hour. But Tuesdays is all day jump! I've done it twice and my kids hearts were won thorough all the fun they had. My son did his birthday party here and I like that I get to customize the party to bring food and cake without all the extra restrictions. You have to pay for the drinks so, that alone can add up. I come here to bring a group of teenagers and everyone stayed entertained and happy. They would have promos through the week. The obstacle courses here, toddler play area and games are an added bonus. The zip line is another kid favorites. read more

Understaffed! The jumping area is fun, as is the arcade. However, the facility is probably about 50% understaffed. When we visited there was 1 person at the desk managing a line that goes 30 ft back to the front door. There was nobody running the snack bar so we couldn't buy a drink and nobody available for the climbing area until we were on the way out. When it was time to leave we wanted to use the points from the arcade to pick the "prizes." However there was nobody to help us and when I asked someone to come over they said they were too busy and maybe would send someone. Nobody came and we left with the little rolls of points/tickets. There is seriously something fundamentally wrong with this establishment. I did not think much of it when I first came in so I sorta turned a blind eye to signing waivers with nobody present. Or there not being designated time slots for jumping. but I was here for the kids so whatever. Sometime later I started to notice that this place is run by children, literally. The concession stand was unattended with children behind it doing what they want. The "staff" were pretty much grade school kids on their phones while there are spills and messes. The restroom felt abandoned, floor was wet with ZERO caution signs or warnings . Btw the person that actually did clean the restroom was the sole person that actually gave a damn cuz I seen them in the office doing other work. There are 100 children of varying ages all crammed in the same section and the "staff" are sitting on the benches on their phones hire people who actually give a damn about safety or shut tf down before someone gets seriously hurt and I know nobody is paying attention because when I walked up the ramp to get my young ones for immediate departure, I had my shoes on.. nobody stopped me.. crazy what y'all got going on here.. do not come here! This is a great place for my son to have fun at especially during toddler hour Tues-Fri 11am-1am! I like to bring him at least once a week, and he always has a blast! There is a sectioned off area specifically toddlers, but my son likes to jump! It's a great place to have play dates at as well with other parents. You have to do a one time payment for Surge jumping socks, but can continue to bring them every time. The cost for toddler time is $8 for over two and $2 for under two year olds and that includes the cost of one parent! I always bring my 7mo with me as well and she enjoys watching all the lil jumping beans having fun. There are a bunch of different areas for the kids to play at plus soft squishy balls for kids to throw at each other. There are trampoline slides and buttons to push on the wall, and all sorts of things to keep your kids busy, active and having fun! I have fun cause I know my kids are in a safe clean environment, and I can let him wonder while still keeping an eye on him! So much of the stuff is broken. The exposed wood on those sphere-shaped things looks downright dangerous, and one of them is popped. Only 1 of the basketball hoops isn't broken. I posted a review 2 weeks ago where I mentioned the broken zip line, candy machines & the game that lights up. When I returned today, they had fixed 2/4 of the light up games and the candy machine, but the zip line (my daughters favorite thing) was still broken and now so is all of this other stuff. I know they're making money off of this place, so it seems inexcusable to have it in such ill repair. We'll be going to the trampoline park across the street from now on. So many low points. This is my third time visiting this location and it has progressively gotten worse each time. I visit this location so that my 2 year old can utilize the 4 year and under areas specifically. This location is severely understaffed. Wait times are long. Lots of out of order games. No one monitors this place. I swear parents take their butthole kids there to let them run wild while they sit on their phones. I had to raise my voice at THREE older kids (we're talking 7,8,9,10 year olds) for being ROUGH with my two year old INSIDE the 4 and under area. This toddler area should be monitored and enforced. I shouldn't have to police the establishment for this. I paid to use the toddler area and couldn't even use it because my child wasn't getting laid out every 5 minutes. 10/10 don't recommend. The 2 stars are for the fact that if I came as an adult with no kids, the adult and big kid jumping area looked fun and nice. Never used it though. read more

My son was invited to a birthday here on a Thursday evening. Having said that, my review is strictly as a guest that did not pay to get in. The parking lot was pretty empty when we arrived around 5:30pm. We were able to walk right in, tell the lady at the front counter whose birthday we were for and she sent us to the back in the party room. All the kids were checked in, and they got to jump. They had a large dodgeball area, trampoline jump area, basketball area, zipline area and also a foam pit. The kids had an awesome time. The only thing I did not like about this place was how bad the women's bathroom smelled. I know it was late in the day, but considering how many children come and go; I believe the bathroom should at least smell decent. It also had doors that were broken so you weren't able to close them properly. Other than that, the kids had a wonderful time and the employees were nice enough. Fun for everyone. We have been here for birthday parties a few times. It is fun to go early before it gets too crowded. It's a little scary when it gets over run with wild kids that aren't being controlled at times, but that was more worrisome when my son was a toddler. My son was in the ninja course area. He fell into a piece of metal in the foam put that was not covered up. He had to get staples in his head. Blood was everywhere. They didn't even close the area to clean the blood up. After talking to them later they told me they were waiting on a foam piece to cover up that spot, but that they take a long time to come. So they knew the metal was exposed and did nothing. He is five and wasn't being rough or playing incorrectly either. read more

I visited Suge Adventure Park in Virginia Beach, VA today, May 18, 2024, and must say I was extremely disappointed for the following reasons. 1. The ladies room was closed due to plumbing issues, so the men's room was open to two men/two ladies alternating. 2. There was no hand sanitizer in the two receptacles that I tried. 3. The pits that my daughter jumped in left pieces of sponge in her hair, which indicated to me that they needed to be changed. 4. Even though I signed a waiver releasing Surge of any responsibility, should medical care be needed, there were NO employees on site to make sure that the kids AND adults were being safe and considerate of other customers, which I found alarming. Every employee in an orange tee shirt was at the front desk checking people in. Will I return? Absolutely not! read more

Came here for a birthday party on a Sunday. This place is a nightmare. It doesn't seem like they put a capacity limit. There are way too many kids and too many unsupervised kids just running around. Parents just laying out couches not watching their kids at all. There's only one team member working in the entire jumping area and only one team member working in the climbing area. There's duct/electrical tape holding foam down in most places. It's trashed and for as much as they charge they don't seem to do any improvements. Will not be coming back. More than half the games in the arcade were broken and took our money. And the bathroom was gross! read more

My family and I LOVED this place! We usually go to Jump across the street like once a week, so I suggested we try this place out. This place is way better than jump! There's literally something for everybody in the family here. Perfect way for me to get some cardio in too! If you've ever played lights out at Dave and Busters, they have a game like that here except you have to jump to touch the light pads. There's an obstacle course section, rock climbing, dodgeball, zip line, and a bunch of other things including a mini arcade. I would suggest them printing out instructions on how to use the lockers (They're Free to use!) because I helped 3 people while I was there because they had no idea and there's nothing written anywhere. I asked someone who worked there and she didn't even know. Locker: 1. put your stuff in the locker the dial should be turned toward open. 2. Set the code to whatever 4 digit you want. Been here a few time prior to the pandemic. Recently attended a birthday party here. This place is a great concept and really fun for kids. Also, pretty cool for birthday parties. However, what I can not get over are the staff members who are all very young (16-19 yo maybe?) and unprofessional. They were kind but they said unprofessional things. They acted unprofessional. The establishment is dirty from bathrooms to the play area. Also they closed down areas like the rock climbing and the zip lining so you are only limited to play in some areas. There were a lot of staff members but they were just sitting and walking around. Recommendation for management, please keep this place clean, train your staff and get things fixed so people can actually enjoy the entire facility. read more

my daughter injured herself really bad by going on the tower steps, and instead of the ropes making her fall slowly and safely, they didn't work and she free fell down and and broke her finger. Not only was it not cheap to come here, medical bills costed even more not only that, but it reminds me of the back rooms and my kids do not feel safe, especially after my daughter broke her finger. read more

Had a great time with the kids. They even offer a special for the younger kids. I will be returning when school is out. They lost 1 star because one employee was rude and nasty. I asked for her assistance and instead of telling me to please wait like normal people do- she yelled at me across the room. I forgot I was asking for help and asked her if she yelled at me and she said yeah (like a fool). This was a day for my kids not me to show out. I have a friend that lives in VA Beach and was telling me of a recent trip to Surge and was praising the park and the friendliness of the staff. She states that the park is clean and the staff always ready to assist. Her kids always have a blast, and it is a wonderful place for them to burn off some of that pent up energy. My review is based solely on the bathroom. I refuse to pay to jump anywhere where the restrooms are in this condition. Thankfully I only had to pee because if it was something else I would have been better to release it in a cup in the parking lot. You are charging people to jump but you have a sea of urine on the floor. I feel the need to boil my shoes and ankles in Clorox. I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in the staff. The toilet looked like the poop emoji had a time in there. DO MUCH BETTER!! Ugh. I'm glad they had soap and hot water. I just can't believe people are paying to pee in a rest room that looks like it belongs in a third world country. read more

First time here and I must say wow. Great place to be a kid and go crazy. So much for your kids to do around here from rock climbing, video games, trampoline, jumping basketball, ninja warrior stuff, it's really a great spot they also service snacks and bottles soda water juice. At a friends party when a huge fight (man hitting young girl) broke out at the table next to us. Our group helped clear the remaining 2 parties and guests out of room to ensure everyone's safety as the other group continued to fight. Their security guard did absolutely nothing to aid in the situation even though he was asked to help twice. With people screaming, cops involved and panicked kids involved the party was cut short. Half the group that caused the problem were out front making threats at each other, kid were panicked as adults were trying to figure out how to safely get everyone out to the cars to leave as the group was parked in the first row right out the front doors. Once everything was figured out, the question of refund for party was asked, which in response from the company was no. They do nothing to ensure kids safety at this facility and best of all won't take responsibility for their wrong doing. First time here and bought a Groupon for my 2 kids. My brother was able to redeem his Groupon without having the extra $1.06 tax added on to it. In all the years I have used a Groupon for an activity I have NEVER had to pay taxes on top of the cost of my Groupon. So I am not sure why that is all about. The place is packed with kids and there are a lot of different things for the kids to do. We have always gone to the trampoline parks such as Defy in Chesapeake, but I will say the kids had a lot more fun here running around in the different areas. There's also a lot more staff here watching and assisting the kiddos. Usually as a parent at the other jumping places no one is really looking at how crazy some kids can get in the dodgeball pit. I've watched kids get smashed in the face deliberately by psycho kids. A ninja course. Zip line. A balance beam with an American Gladiator fight foam. There's also massage chairs for us older folks that need a bit of relaxation in the chaos that surrounds us. Yes! It takes credit cards. There's an area with long tables and benches for parties and a concession stand in the back right of the place. I love the face that it's pretty open and you can see everything going on. Socks are still not mandatory here but I brought the jumping socks I had from the other place for the kiddos. Definitely worth it with the Groupon. I think it's $14-15/hr otherwise. This place is filthy and that's putting it lightly. We secured a birthday party for my 4 year old (2hrs for 10 kids $300 mind you) to find nothing available. No plates, napkins, silverware, cups, I mean nothing. Luckily my wife is a "just in caser" and we brought enough to make it work. The mens restroom was scene straight out of a horror movie. One light working with the other faintly blinking, while pieces of brown who knows what were scattered all over the floor. It was obvious that the place hadn't been cleaned in weeks, if that. Not to mention the endless remnants of previous parties all over the place. The final piece of disgust was the very lively roach I had to squash before we all sat to eat. The place was packed with staff so that wasn't the issue, it was that none of them did anything. Don't get me wrong the kids could have cared less as they had a blast with their friends running around in filth. And being the responsible parents we are we sanitized them thoroughly when we got home. Fool me once, shame on me. Please don't make our same mistake. Read the reviews... Compared to Cloud 9, SkyZone, and Jump combined, this new trampoline park had a bigger variety and plenty of diverse obstacles for every age. I especially enjoyed the games and the zip-line that stretches across a long foam pit. My only complaint is the staff. The group that I was specifically frustrated at was the group in charge of the spinning obstacle (shown right of attached) payed little attention to the kids inside and even left it operating without supervision. Also whenever there was a rotation in shifts the employees would walk extremely slow, wasting both the kids' time and their parents money. Although the coaches were lazy, the admissions staff were very friendly and gave us an extra half-hour of jumping. Since my birthday is coming up, I think it would be fun to invite a few friends to make the experience all the more enjoyable. Would definitely be coming back. read more

Employees were too busy jumping, playing on their phones & eating to run the one course that needed to be ran by an employee. Avoid this place. Check out one of the trampoline parks instead. We were told it would be open. We came in at 6:30 for my sons 9th birthday and they said they had to clean the climbing stuff every 30 minutes. An hour later and the rock wall is still not open. Went for the first time yesterday and ehhh. I'd rather go to Defy or Skyzone. We came in at 8:30PM and there were 3 guys at the door? They weren't taking temperatures or anything like that so I'm not really sure why they have 3 when all of them were just sitting down on their phones?? Weren't the friendliest or welcoming either. We were told there was an hour wait before we could jump, but we were willing to wait. The first employee at the front desk said we would be able to jump at 9:30PM right after we fill out the waivers since we're first timers. So we did and 5 mins later we come back to the front desk to buy our tickets and a different employee assisted us and she said we were going to have to do the 10PM one. I went along with it since we were willing to wait, but I guess since she saw the shocked look on my face she asked me if the other employee told me it was 9:30 and gave me the initial time instead. There was a small arcade area, but there weren't much fun arcades to play with. For instance, there was a claw machine for rubber ducks??? Anyways, you need a Surge card to play most (if not all) of the machines. The mosh pit is closed because of the COVID. The trampolines are pretty small, but there is a dodge ball area. The most interesting part is the rock climbing area which we actually did enjoy. As we were leaving one employee (poor guy) was cleaning the toddler area. Wouldn't have mentioned anything about it, but he had 2 kids helping him clear the area while the other employees just played around with each other??? On top of that, some employees didn't have their mask on properly. One staff did stood out though. The rock climbing employee was really helpful, friendly and patient with us so that was nice. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience but it wasn't that pleasant either. Management could be better and the area could be cleaner. I'd recommend going somewhere else for a fun trampoline park day for you or your kids to enjoy.
