Happy hour here is pretty good! $4.75 sushi rolls from 4-6pm. My boyfriend and I got 5 rolls and sake for $35, good deal we thought! This was our second time here. The first time we came (about 1-2 weeks ago) we got the sushi boat and that was good value too. We usually sit outside because it's covered with fans and it's been nice these last 2 times we went. Service was good, we were checked on at east 1 time while enjoying dinner.

The food was really good, was in the mood for hibachi and they definitely understood the assignment. It was my first here since it replaced the previous establishment. The new menu is excellent. Service was speedy and the location is clean and quiet.

Yes, its inside a former fast food restaurant. Yes, its set up as a fast casual dining place where you order at the front and they bring it to your table. But the food is definitely not fast casual. This is a full service Japanese restaurant with plenty of sushi, bentos, soups, and teppan grill options. And the food takes "restaurant time" to prepare so don't expect assembly line, have it in 3 minutes to the table. Everything here is pretty good and you get plenty for your money. Plus, the service is super friendly. I knock it one star just because you're getting restaurant quality food in a fast casual atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit for quality Japanese in the area.

This gem was off in a corner but really needs to be on top of a hill because the food was absolutely delicious! When I walked in it was very clean they have a TV inside for sports which is a good thing. The cooks were in front so you could actually see them cooking your food . There menu has multiple items to choose from such as chill and cooked sushi, hibachi , seafood, fried rice and much more. If you haven't ate at this restaurant you don't know what you're missing out on.

UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING I don't make it a habit giving less than stellar reviews and I do my BEST to look for the silver lining in EVERYONES playbook but today I was totally Shook. I'll even break down HOW I came up with three stars. One star for the Sashimi. It was fresh and I was able to customize what pieces I got. One star for the staff. The guys were SUPER nice One star for the restaurant itself. It was very clean; and I liked how the menu was presented on the wall and the way it was organized clearly so as not to be overwhelming for someone like me. Now my BIGGEST GET when dining out OBVIOUSLY is flavor, and this place just DID NOT HAVE IT. We ordered two chicken teriyaki dinner bentos to go, an appetizer sashimi, and Habachi fried rice. Complaint #1. Teriyaki didn't have ANY teriyaki sauce on it!!! ‍‍‍ WHAT THE??? Now I've been to places where the chicken was SWIMMING in sauce. This time there was NOTHING on it lol Complaint #2. Habachi rice had ZERO salt or flavor of any kind. My daughter is a connoisseur of fried rice and she took two bites and would NOT eat any more!!! I asked her what was wrong with it n she just shook her head n said NU UH. When I tasted it I got it.... No flavor, just brown rice Complaint #3. The tempura had WAY too much batter on it and it was CHEWY like it had been sitting under a lamp too long Complaint #4. The wasabi for my sashimi was old. I can tell when wasabi is old cuz it loses its "heat". And it was OLD. The sashimi itself tho was on POINT so I ate that UP!!! The rest of the food tho got thrown away unfortunately I didn't even ATTEMPT to try the soup as I LOVE miso soup n didn't want to chance it ‍ Sorry guys I hope this was a one off, I had hopes

I was a little hesitant coming here as it is a "fast food" sushi restaurant but I was pleasantly surprised! The food came out quickly and was fresh and delicious. We got some appetizers and two sushi boats and it all was very good!

    Fried Cheesecake Tempura

Overall decent spot! The staff was friendly, efficient and the place was clean. We ordered a couple of things so let's break it down. I myself had the miso soup and cheesecake tempura. I didn't find the soup exceptional in flavor but it was tasty nonetheless. The fried cheesecake tempura however was a bit more interesting. The cheesecake was warm, and the ice cream it was served with cold, which created an interesting temperature contrast. I would rate these two a 4/5. Next, my friend sampled the Hibachi Chicken meal. Firstly, I'd like the state we all found the portions extremely small. The salad was okay. Plain and basic, with no inclusions such as olives, cheese, or tomatoes. Definitely could have done more. For some reason the fried rice didn't seem all that fried. Perhaps they steamed it instead? The rice was also a bit mushy on the plate... The vegetables however, were phenomenal in addition to the chicken. They were both intensely flavored, with onion for the vegetables and a unique sauce for the chicken. He would rate his meal 3.5/5. Lastly, my other dinner mate decided on the Chicken and Rice bowl. Following what seemed to be the theme for the night, she wasn't blown away and didn't find this meal particularly special. It was good, not seasoned, but would she get it again? Perhaps. Small portions for a $15 platter may also convince her not to though. This bowl remains steadily in the middle. Not bad but not great either. In addition she got the Pork Dumplings which she ended up liking much more. Nothing too notable was about them, just that they were good. 3 stars from her. *The salad and soup came with the Hibachi Chicken meal*

It was my first time visiting Orlando, I was touring UCF. We were hungry and wanted a close place to eat lunch and we chose to get sushi here. I have to say I was sketchy at first, due to the restaurant being by a college I was unsure what to expect. But the service was phenomenal. You order at the counter and you sit down and they give you your food. I ordered the spicy tuna & philadelphia roll and they were both incredible. I was extremely surprised how knowledgeable the staff was about what was in their food as I cannot have gluten. The white sauce & the strawberry soda is delicious! They have gluten free soy sauce options and you can put your own sauces on your sushi (like eel sauce) they are out for everyone's use which is super nice! This will be my regular sushi place when I attend UCF in the fall!

No frills sushi, good sushi, no ambiance whatsoever. Like if subway was a sushi joint. The food is good, but for the price point, expected more of a spark in the dining room. Service is ok. Ordered gyoza appetizer and sushi dinner. The appetizer came out after my sushi. Wasn't busy when i was here, not sure whats up.

    The restaurant!

Ive been going to this spot since Fall 2021, and the only unpleasant and rude person to work here has been this manager that goes by Cherry(Shery?). She has harassed customers and coworkers, and management has failed to find a better candidate yet. Please do better. On the contrary, the food is good, and the other employees are pleasant and respectful.

We were on this side of town for whatever reason. We aren't familiar with the sushi places in Orlando and our options get significantly less being on the east side. However, we tried to find a place and this seemed to have the best lunch "Special". We arrived, we ordered, we still needed up paying $45 for 5 rolls... not much of a deal. I also purchased a bottled soda which was several months past expiration (flat). The worst part were the flies. Something about flies and raw sushi seems extra cringe worthy to me. If you're a ucf student and need decent sushi and don't have a ride to a better place then sure, eat your "okay" sushi here. However, if you have the accessibility to go elsewhere, it might play in your favor.

This was our first visit and wow, the menu is huge. This is a restaurant where you order at the counter then seat yourself and drinks are self serve. You are given a number and your food is delivered to your table. We ordered a chicken tempura bento box ($13.95)which included several tempura chicken strips, two tempura shrimp, a spring roll, 4 pieces of California roll and sticky white rice. There was also a light somewhat sweet sauce with it. Both the tempura chicken and shrimp needed a little sauce for flavor. The spring roll was tasty. We also ordered the chicken hibachi grill dinner($13.95) with grilled chicken, fried rice, noodles with broccoli, carrots and ginger. This was a tasty dish and a lot of food. In fact we are taking home as much as was eaten. Both dinners were served with soup and a green salad with ginger dressing. We also ordered a California roll ($5.50). The server that brought our food also checked on us throughout our meal. He was very nice and welcoming. The cashier who took our order was also very nice and friendly. The total for our meal was $37.45 which was a great price for Japanese food prepared to order. E will likely be back to try other menu items.

I've been to this place a few times and it's pretty ok. I ordered the veggie sushi roll and spicy salmon roll on my last trip. There was like one other couple eating in the restaurant when I was there (weeknight around 7 pm). I ordered my food to go. It took about ten minutes to get my order. The sushi was ok. Definitely not the best but pretty ok for the price.

Only like 3 diners were there when we arrived (it was mid afternoon), so lots of open seating. We were able to sit at the bar. Greeted right way. Will say they have a very extensive menu. Decent selection of sushi & other types of dishes. Our server was pleasant. We started with their daily deal which was Crispy Tuna and edamame as well. Came out pretty quickly after we ordered. The Crispy Tuna was served not as we expected. It was more rice cakes (pancake style shape if you will) not what we are accustomed to which generally is a Square Musubi Press. They were good, but would have preferred them the way we generally order it. Edamame was tasty, but hard to mess that up. Rolls: they are pretty small to be honest and squeezed so tightly (with not enough of outer rice) they sat up high and didn't take on the plump desirable shape. When a sushi roll (maki) is rolled and pressed incorrectly with a bamboo mat, the cylindrical shape gets squished and inevitably turns into a aesthetic effect that looks off, which in my opinion shows here. Plus, very thinly sliced rolls. 4 rolls we ordered: Naruto Roll, it was refreshing & liked the cucumber in place of the seaweed wrap. Beauty & Beast Roll, came together well with the black tobiko & masago. Waterfall Roll was good, but would have liked some more heat (heaver on the jalapeños) and finally the Black Pearl Roll which was decent with the black tobiko on top! Throughout of dining experience the sushi chefs were preparing other dishes on the menu to fill orders, but also pleasant & engaging as we watched them make our orders and those others too. Leo and Micah were friendly, not so much the only female employee. She gave off some negative vibes. Never said a word to us & acted like we were not even there! Believe her role may have been in the kitchen, but she was out on the floor (for most of our time there) talking to Leo primarily. Kitchen cleanliness is key and by looking thru the open space (to the backs of sushi chefs) she really needed to focus more of her attention there instead of projecting conversations out front to the busy staff. Meaning that sanitation and environmental hygiene is a mandatory practice that needs constant attention & customers may observe or question those things when not tending to the task. I'm addressing this in the most important and nicest way possible! Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. Not the best sushi restaurant we've been to, but definitely sufficed for our craving. Ended our meal with their fried ice cream which was delicious. Note- Do not believe they have any happy hour specials. No Kizami Wasabi available here.
