Grrrr... Just picked…read moreup my special Hugo Boss dress from this dry cleaner and.. not only is the stain still there, my dress is now damaged. Let me start from the beginning. About 2 weeks ago, I brought in a brand new Hugo Boss dress that is very special to me into Nature's Cleaners. I found this place off Yelp, and even though there were only a few reviews, for the most part the reviews were positive, and since I didn't know any other dry cleaners in this area, I decided to bring my dress to them. The fact that they are supposed to be better for the environment was a big bonus for me. However.. I picked up the dress. Brought it home. Noticed that there is a pink stain on the top shoulder part of the dress. Umm... this wasn't there when I dropped it off.. the dress is brand new. I brought it back the next day to see what they could do. They said they couldn't get it back to until the next day, but that wouldn't have worked for me because I needed the dress for my trip and I was leaving that night. So I told them it's OK and that I would bring the dress back after I came back from my trip. I brought back the dress so that they could try to remove the stain. I just picked it up right now, and not only is the stain that was not there in the first place still there, that area where the stain is is damaged.. The material there looks like it has been scrubbed and rubbed a LOT, the material in that area looks thinner and uneven, and the area is fuzzy now. They left a tag on the hanger saying that even though they tried to get the stain out, they weren't able to, and that if they continued to try to get it out, it would damage the dress. Ummm..... too late, they already damaged the dress. I wish that they had stopped trying to get the stain out before damaging my dress, or at least called me or something to let me know that the stain probably wasn't going to come out. I would rather have had the stain there and at least have my dress in the same condition as opposed to how it was returned to me. So.. I feel bad that I have to give 1 star, because the people who work there seem very nice. However, the fact that my nice, new, expensive, and personally significant dress both got a stain on it while getting cleaned by them AND was further damaged by them when they tried to remove the stain has ensured that I will never bring an article of clothing back here again :(

But now I've sold my car and found someone in SF to "environmentally friendly" clean my clothes, so this is a "thank you and goodbye"post. These people have been fantastic and done such a great job for me over the years. Once I even went to pick up my clothes and the husband told me "My wife noticed the button was coming off your dress so she sewed it back on". Does it get much nicer than that?
