They wanted to charge me 50 bucks to replace the elastic in the arms of dress and we're not talking intricate it's just elastic and you know the dress originally was probably about $300 but I got it on sale for like 25 so now I'm not gonna pay that much... Same for the other two dresses they were extremely outrageously expensive. I'm sure I can get all three of them done for under $40 somewhere so if you're looking for a good value, I'd say keep on looking.

I explained the nuance & what I was looking for, and next appointment it was perfect. They also advised PERFECTLY on the length, the train, and the bustle. These guys know their stuff. In addition to their craft, their turnarounds and prices are incredible - that's what bumped them from "excellent" to "rave about them to friends" in my book. I was able to book my appointment same week, the first turnaround was one month, and the second turnaround (which was no additional cost) was another week. They also quoted me about 1/3 of what an experienced, luxury wedding dress alterations specialist quoted me. I appreciate his great eye and understanding of menswear and fine details as well. I first visited this tailor a few years ago with a blazer that I had bought overseas. Because of my height, jackets always have to be cut down and made slimmer, and buying off the rack suits is a nightmare because the pants are always way too big in the waist and require a lot of tailoring. William did the most beautiful job on a blazer that I bought in Spain and even added special stitching to the button holes; it has been my favorite jacket ever since. Last week I brought in a new suit and some shirts to take in, and he did the most incredible tailoring job once again. I've had suits tailored in Rome by some of the best tailors my friends recommended, and honestly I think William is better than any of them. The shop is also decorated with antique cameras on display and lots of interesting things to look at. The whole staff is super charming and nice. There's parking in back in a small lot with meters and I believe the shop has a couple of parking spots of their own, but I haven't used them. I give this establishment my highest recommendation as a tailor and also the prices are a good value. Turn around is quick as well. The jackets and suits that I have brought here have always ended up being my favorite and best fitting pieces.

Jose was not fazed at all by some draping that goes all the way to the bottom of the dress. The shoulders were cleanly altered and the length was just right. The space is clean and organized. Both the drop-off/measuring and pick-up were efficient. The alterations cost $125, which seems on par with other places I have been before. They prefer Zelle but were willing to accept credit card. I was not in a hurry. He scheduled my pick-up for just over 3 weeks from the consultation, and it was completed as scheduled. There is some metered parking out front, and street parking around the corner.

He completely transformed a pair of expensive leather pants that were a couple sizes too large and they turned out perfect. He really is an artist, and his stitching and lines are so clean. I'm not easy to please and haven't had to ask Justin to redo any of the clothing I've brought. You can see he's a perfectionist and takes great pride in the work he does. Most recent drop off was the regular-learned-the-hard-way-not-to-wash clothing items and hubby's fave à la Mr. Rodger's cardigan. Stretched out button holes, it had become incapable of keeping him snug, cozy. $8 per to tighten them = snug, cozy. I truly would have messed up this repair. ALL items cleaned with care, packaged appropriately ready to be worn this coming fall/winter. Short term drop-off/pick-up parking at entrance off of Westwood Boulevard and Holman Avenue. We usually walk to Sterling Cleaners for drop-off but pick-up via our car(s). Made the mistake at pick-up by parking in an employee only zone. Fortunately, thanks to efficient staff, I was only in an employee's space for mere minutes. Whew! Check-in on Yelp but there's no longer a discount along with it. When I mentioned this we were given a 25% off neighborhood courtesy. Sterling Cleaners now prefers a Google review but I'm gonna stick with Yelp.
