This was a really nice little restaurant. The service was fast and polite. We both got the AYCE sushi and it was so worth the $20 a piece. We got the edamame and gyoza to start and each got two rolls and I also got a pieces of nigiri. I had the volcano and spicy salmon to start and honestly, they were almost the same roll. One had massago and what I think was Siracha on top and the other didn't but both were delicious. My bf got the jalepeno roll as well. Everything we had was served quickly and it was delicious. We each also had a fried Oreo for dessert. I love that that's part of the AYCE special. We have been to 3 different Sushi AI locations. I'm usually on my way to something so their ability to be on time is very important to me also. I don't like the price increase but that's happening to everything. Inside is simple and good seating but not a huge place. I've only done done in around lunch/late afternoon. Staff is friendly. I always try to tip everyone there not just the front jar. We did come on a Saturday night so we were expecting things to be busy and maybe even a short wait due to Covid 19 restrictions. We were told we would have a 10-15 minute wait and after 15 minutes we went in again. This happened a total of 4 times so we waited around 1.5 hours. The fish wasn't close to fresh and I'm not sure If it was even sushi grade. My expectations were for it to be at least good because I have heard so many great things. But I will not be back and will not recommend this to anyone. If there was a zero star option I would still give it a 1 because our waitress was still really sweet but even her service was very slow. Disclaimer - I am not a Sushi lover, so I'm NOT reviewing, based off my expertise with AI Sushi. They may have really good Sushi, but idk. I am however, reviewing the meal I had Steak Teriyaki and general vibe/feel. I took into consideration that this place is new and more than likely still working the bugs out and properly training the staff. The Miso soup was at best and I mean at very best luke warm. My tea was scolding hot, so I thought pour a little in to warm up my soup, no great impact my soup was that cool. Another item that came with my meal was a salad and the dressing was typical, but there was soooooo much of it that my salad turned into a soup and I actually prefer my salads slightly over dressed, but this was enough dressing for 5 salads. Finally, what should have been a pretty simple dish, the Steak Teriyaki. For some unknown reason, someone at Sushi AI (the Franchise) thought lets mix things up and serve it like they do in Mexican restaurants, on an iron hotplate! - Sizzle, sizzle! I was going to state the only problem, but the entire concept is wrong! wrong! wrong! The stalks of uncooked broccoli were like eating a small tree, some of the onions were raw, while others just right, some mushrooms were cooked while others had me forging in the woods. Fajitas work this way because, people will select and remove the items and place them in a flour shell. This was a terrible way to present Asian cuisine. On top of that the water content from the vegetables completely diluted any hint of Teriyaki or resemblance thereof. The steak wasn't seasoned and so the entire meal left me scratching my head and asking...why? The restuarant itself is deceivingly nice and well decorated, (modern) which you won't be able to imagine from the outside. The staff was very warm and attentive. During my meal there was some loud pounding noises going on in the kitchen, I'm really not sure what was happening? I almost inquired if there was a dojo in back? As the pounding noise was so loud it ruined any chance of a decent ambience. THAT'S WHY I GAVE IT A 3 STAR Maybe those of you who love Sushi can defend it. I just hope they change their current recipe and take on Teriyaki or no chance of my returning. read more

Great value all you can eat sushi place. If you come here on a semi regular basis, opt in for the VIP card as it saves SO much money in the long run. We have ordered off the menu only once and it was not worth the cost and the quality went way down. But the all you can eat option is great.
