Sushi Aji is my favorite sushi bar in the area. The fish is consistently fresh. Some of my favorite rolls are the Magic Roll and Dynamite Roll. The owners and staff are always friendly and nice. The food was excellent. I was disappointed, however, with the Rainbow Roll because the fish slices were small. The rice overpowered the fish. But the gyoza, Fancy Lobster Roll, scallop and fresh water eel sashimi, seaweed salad, and Unicorn dessert roll were all excellent. The ambiance is cheap. Plastic chairs. Simple tables. The restaurant was so cold that I had to ask the waiter to turn up the heat. Most of the other customers wore their jackets. It's not exactly the kind of place to take someone on a date or to have a romantic dinner. I would give it five stars if they upgraded the décor and turned up the heat! It cost us about $116 for dinner for two. It's too expensive for that kind of décor, and for it being so cold. For those reasons, I wouldn't recommend dining there, but would recommend that you try their take-out. Actually, why would anybody order sushi take-out for that amount of money? I'd rather have a wonderful experience dining-in. But, it's up to you. read more

Fantastic service every time we go. I can't say enough good things about the wait staff, they are so friendly and happy. Sushi Aji doesn't have an expansive menu but what is offered is done well. I particularly enjoy their dumplings. If you feel like something rich, try their sweet potato tempura sushi roll. The prices here are reasonable and the ambiance is very charming. My go-to Sushi place is usually Sukura Sushi Express on Highway 7 but it was closed on a Monday when I was jonesing for my sushi fix so I went here instead. I'm not impressed. Ordered a Philly Roll, a rainbow roll, and 4 salmon nigiri. The salmon was cut paper-thin and looked dried out and old. It didn't taste creamy and moist like salmon should. The Alaska roll's California roll interior was just a large chunk of crab rather than a crab salad. The Philly roll wasn't even round and pretty but more oblong and crushed. Nothing here tasted good and the presentation was definitely lacking. I won't be back. Oh, and I forgot to mention. While I was eating, there were several moms with young children. The music they were playing in the restaurant consisted of a rap song with lots of cursing and several instances of the N-word. Not appropriate for families. I was disappointed. read more

We order Sushi Aji sushi rolls once a week for the past 2 years or so. During COVID we call it in and pick it up so it is as fresh as possible. We love the following rolls: Dragon, Shaggy Dog, Spicy Crunchy Scallops, Spicy Crunch Tuna, Spicy Crunchy Salmon and Shrimp Tempura roll, which are very fresh and tasty! Great sushi spot! We ordered take out and it was fresh, fast, and delicious. The fried soft shell crab appetizer, shaggy dog roll, and spicy tuna roll were my favorite!
