I ordered via Doordash because I was on a business trip, but wow! The sushi is packed in a nicely branded, to-go box that felt like I was ordering from sugar fish. The sushi was also extremely fresh, rich, and buttery. My favorite was the Seared Salmon Box, the fish was thick slices of salmon that was seared with mayo on top. I believe it came in two options with roughly 5-6 pieces of each. I also got the inari trio and that was yummy too.

I recently heard about Sushi Blossom, it's a small place in Belltown that basically does exclusively takeout orders. They don't have seating inside so I would recommend ordering online. I couldn't decide which of the sets to get; they all sounded great. I decided on the Salmon Set which came with Salmon Rolls, a couple types of Salmon Nigiri, and Salmon Sushi. The quality of the salmon is super fresh. I was surprised by the care that went into packaging the boxes. I also thought the price was great for the amount of sushi you are getting. Would come back!

A must try!!!! INCREDIBLE and so fresh! It is takeout only - order online and pay ahead of time. Our order was ready right on time. Cute little space and very sweet workers, will be back for sure! Tempura was absolute perfection.

*based off a takeaway order* Maybe one of my favorite places to get sushi! Considering that I got my order via DoorDash, I can't speak on how what the actual space looks like. My order came neatly packed in their cute takeaway box and for some reason, the aesthetic of it was very satisfying to see and open. I got the nigiri set B, I believe? And I'm so happy that I did. Each piece had a very well portioned piece of fish perched on top of the rice. The rice itself was a good consistency and not overpowering with the fish. Everything tasted wonderful and it was filling enough for me. I'm not particularly dying to go to the restaurant itself, not for any particular reason other than sheer convenience of delivery and already having had a fantastic experience with their food from that.

The sushi here is good. It doesn't stand out, but it is good. I tried some unagi, salmon, and tuna rolls as well as some sashimi. This is essentially take-out only and the actual location is very small.

Pretty solid takeout sushi spot! This place doesn't have any sort of dine-in option, so you can either pickup or order delivery. We got it for delivery, but their online ordering menu on mobile is absolutely horrendous to use so we ended up having to get it through Uber Eats instead. I got the maki quatro with salmon, spicy salmon, spicy tuna, and negitoro. The fish was really fresh and flavorful amongst all of them! The salmon and negitoro were my favorite -- so buttery soft and yummy. The spicy tuna was my least favorite, as it had some weird smoky aftertaste. The pieces are smaller than I expected, so although the price was great the portion really wasn't that much. The rice also wasn't the best texture but was nicely flavored. Overall, this spot does the job for that sushi craving, and has some great fish. I do want to try the nigiri and signature rolls next time.

The sushi was good - I loved the veggie roll they had. I wish they had more shellfish options instead of mostly salmon and tuna rolls, but that's my personal preference. The Inari nigiri were excellent and the wasabi was really fresh too. The miso was flavorful but didn't have much tofu. Definitely a fan though! They were kind and speedy with preparing the order. It was ready in about 20 min or so which was pretty impressive. Ambiance is that they're take out only pretty much. They have about 4 chairs you could probably sit and eat at but they're designed for grab and go and they're very good at it!

Just moved to the area and now I have no excuse to ever be craving sushi. We got 3 salmon avocado rolls, 1 salmon lover and a spicy tuna. We ordered and received our food in 10 minutes. No notes on anything, and if it was up to me, I'd come here everyday There's three bar stools that you can eat on, or eat outside around the area. Very small but Very good.

An excellent spot for take out sushi dinner in the city! Sushi Blossom is a strictly take out sushi spot, you place your order on their website and pick up at the designated time. The Sushi Blossom Roll is topped with seared salmon and was a delicious treat. The Salmon Lover includes 3 pieces of salmon nigiri, 2 pieces of seared salmon nigiri, 2 pieces of salmon sashimi, and 4 pieces of salmon cut roll. A salmon lover's dream! The Maki Quattro includes 16 rolls of your choice of fish. The sushi is decently priced and fresh, the quality was great! This is definitely a great spot for those craving for a sushi dinner!

Cute takeout-only spot with a team of friendly and efficient staff. Sushi Blossom's takeout offerings were quite enjoyable. We sampled the Inari trio (this was our favorite) along with an assortment of rolls - the fish was fresh, and the rice was well-prepared, dispelling any doubts raised by mixed reviews. It made for a satisfying sushi experience. No complaints here. If you're on the lookout for good yet affordable sushi options, this place offers delightful boxes of nigiri sets and inari that I recommend exploring!

I have been here 3 times. I enjoyed 2 out of 3 experiences and would have given this place 5 stars but today was not as good as normal for some reason. The rice was unusually hard and ruined the sushi for me. They should have noticed this when preparing the sushi and remade it. I did contact the restaurant to let them know about this issue and they offered a refund which was very kind of them as a small business. I will happily give them another try. This is currently my favorite casual sushi place!

Great spot for takeout sushi! The prices are super reasonable, but the quality is surprisingly fresh. Everything tastes clean and well-prepared, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Is this a take out place only?

Yes, there is no seating available when I went in the pick up my sushi. It's just a kitchen w a register. Hope this helps.

Reservations during off peak dinner hours aren't too difficult to get on a weeknight and street parking was fairly easy to find. The omakase / tasting menu is 19 bites, which is a decent amount of food, but overall the fish quality was really disappointing. There were only about 4-5 pieces of nigiri that tasted fresh and clean; the white fish that you start with in particular were just not a fun texture or flavor. The shellfish course and sweet shrimp were solid though. Unfortunately, besides the fish, the rice was a total flop too. It just felt dried out as if they had been pre portioned well ahead of time and under seasoned. Part of the joy of a course menu, if you want slightly warm / room temperature rice against the cool fish, but you get zero of that contrast here.

Our food tour was very intimate, just the two of us plus the guide. One of the restaurants we visited was called Shiro. We arrived mid-afternoon, while the restaurant was closed to the public. We were each served two pieces of Nigiri and told the story about Shiro. The two pieces that we were served were phenomenal and the story fascinating. We found out when Chef Shiro would be working next and cancelled another dinner reservation so we could try more of his food. When we arrived before opening time, there was already a woman waiting at the door. After us, a Seattle software engineer and three of his Canadian co-workers arrived. We had all arrived early because sitting at the bar in front of Shiro was on a first come, first served basis, reservations were not taken for that privilege. The year after we dined, we read that Shiro had retired. We were so disappointed that we would not get to eat his food again. Then we learned that Shiro opened a new restaurant and we planned on making a trip up to Seattle. Twelve years later, we finally made it. Reservations were made through opentable.com two months in advance. We wanted the Omakase, sitting at the bar, in front of the Master. Well, when we arrived, we found that Shiro only works on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. (sigh) Still, we had a great meal prepared by an amazing chef who hailed from Laos, whose name escapes me now. We had a pretty good conversation despite the background noise from the rest of the restaurant. The presentation was beautiful as you can see from my pictures. We asked for and received a menu list that detailed what we were being served. If you take the time to look at the photo captions, you can follow along with the menu list to see what each fish looked like. And then, on our way out, there was Shiro! We greeted him, thanked him and his Sushi Chef for a great meal. We asked for a photo and he had a staff member take the picture for us. Yes, Shiro is a slight man but not quite as small as the picture makes him look. The staffer changed my camera setting from 1x to .5x and because he was standing one step behind us, we look huge! At any rate, it was a meal that will remain with us to the end of our days. Domo Arigato Gozaimasu Shiro Kashiba & Staff!

FOB Sushi Bar has been living rent-free in my head ever since I first visited about two years ago…read more I finally made it back to Seattle this month and knew I had to stop by again! FOB is a build-your-own sushi spot so instead of ordering from a menu, you grab a takeout box (either a tray or large box), pick up a pair of tongs, walk down the sushi line, choose whatever catches your eye, then weigh and pay. It's currently around $15 per pound, and filling up one of the larger boxes usually costs me a little over $30, depending on what I pick. One thing I noticed this visit is that the price has definitely gone up since my first trip. I was also tempted by the giant inari nigiri so selected a few to bring home, but found out that it turned out to be mostly rice with just a little fish on top so I'm thinking next time, I'll probably stick more with the sushi rolls or smaller nigiri since they felt like the better value. The selection is HUGE though: sushi rolls, nigiri, gunkan, etc. The only negative for me is how fast-paced the experience feels. Every time I've visited (I guess just twice so far), the line has been packed and practically out the door, so there's not much time to stand there by the actual sushi bar and browse your options, especially since the shop is small and tight with the cluster of customers (you're literally standing inches away from each other). You're basically moving along with everyone else and making quick decisions as you go. I understand it keeps the line moving, but I personally prefer having a little more time to look. However, I did notice that the staff is constantly replenishing the options and keeping everything clean, so nothing seems to sit out for long. The fish tastes fresh, clean, and never fishy, and the texture is just right. Seating inside is pretty limited, so it's mostly a takeout spot. I have taken my box back to my hotel to enjoy in solitude (when I travelled to Seattle) or take it home to share with my kid (50+ mile drive since I recently moved to WA, but still tastes yummy after the ride). I also noticed plenty of people enjoying their sushi on the steps outside. Regarding price, my box usually ends up costing about the same as ordering about two specialty sushi rolls elsewhere, but being able to mix and match a variety of different pieces makes it a fun experience, especially since their rolls are creative, delicious, and worth trying. If you're a sushi lover (or even just looking to try a variety of sushi in one meal), I definitely recommend checking out FOB Sushi Bar!
