I'm so frustrated with this place. We go twice a week because I'm obsessed with the cowboy and surfer rolls. And we spend at least $300 a week here. Today they acted like they didn't know us. We sat for 20 min waiting for anyone to serve us. We are stunned. Because we come in so much they know us by now. But still nothing. So we finally left and went to Nicos where we got excellent service. I'm not sure we will go back and we go twice a week so I'm so frustrated with the lack of service. read more

Went here for HH got a few rolls and drinks. The service was not good to start. Then the sushi rolls were very poorly made (not completely cut, pieces of rolls were not consistent in size, and just overall not good). Got 4 rolls and 4 drinks and the tab came out to over $150!! I wrote a previous review and felt bad about it, so we thought we'd try again to give them a break. Unfortunately, the same situation. No one noticed us for about 10 minutes. Wait staff seems more interested in talking to each other than customers. The hostess was not helpful for take-out. There was no apparent manager on duty or adult in the room, so to speak. If you are a college kid, you might like it but otherwise, it's a very frustrating experience. That's it...no more chances! read more

My husband and I were very disappointed in this restaurant. Let me start with what was good. We sat outside and could watch the sunset, which was most enjoyable. The Crunch Roll and Eel and Cucumber rolls that we ordered were yummy. But the server was not very good. I believe she forgot about us. She took our drink orders and we didn't see her again until I had to go to the hostess and ask for our server. At this point she had 2 tables, so I'm not sure why she never came back. Then once she did, she didn't apologize at all. She never actually brought us our drinks or sushi.... another server did. Our Spicy Tuna Roll was very spicy but also flavorless, not enjoyable. The Diamondback Roll was mushy and gross.... I mean the reason you get tempura is for the crunch and we could barely get this roll down because it was so gross. Ordered fried rice and sushi roll they completely ruined my roll I called and talked to a acting manager told her they messed it up so I went back and the acting manager didn't even try to talk to me or anything just completely ignored me very sad didn't even offer to remake my rice so I got home and had cold rice and had to drive 20 mins there and 20 mins back I usually never have this issue but this really had me ticked very dissatisfied and disappointed with the service read more

Ok, before posting this I had visited this place THREE times, downtown Gilbert is close to our home and I wanted to give them a chance... well as you can see per my star rating this didn't work out like the classic "third times the charm". The service is SO awful. Took 15min just to get our 2 sake bombs, keep in mind it wasn't really busy. The sushi was average, nothing to recommend. I'm not gonna lie to you chief, this place was so hit or miss. The Yummy Roll was delicious. The Las Vegas roll was good. The volcano chicken was literally boiled chicken with franks red hot on it. The tempura was nice and crispy but the sauce tasted like water. The fried rice tasted old. Both the Hawaiian Cosmo and the Tokyo Colada tasted like water. Not worth the $150 tab. read more

Extremely poor service. Upon arrival the hostess advised me that it would take about 10 mins for the remaining half of delivery to be ready. After 20 minutes of waiting (and half the order of sushi sitting on a bench) I finally asked about the order which was still not ready. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. She had the hostess return to tell me that she couldn't do anything to speed up the order. After about 5 more minutes the hostess again came up to me and stated 'she guesses they didn't see the paper for the order and are making it now'. Not once did the supervisor on duty (12/28 evening shift- blonde hair) take any responsibility over the lack of service. Service staff never once apologized for their mistake or even acted like the service they were providing was poor. I reached out to my TP delivery service and had them cancel the order due to not wanting the customer to get sick from the sushi that sat for well over 25 minutes, as it was there when I arrived. Would not recommend and definitely won't be accepting any deliveries from this dump in the future. read more

This used to be our favorite sushi spot, we went once a week and the servers knew us. Then it went way downhill. The service started being SO slow. The server told us the good sushi chefs who worked there left and they were struggling to find someone new who was as good and fast. We kept coming a few more times and every time the service was slow. Waited a while and eventually a few months later returned to give it one more chance. Such a bad experience! So sad. Waited forever for our drinks. Beer was in a warm bottle with the cap still on had to go up to bar to ask for someone to open it. Waited 1 hour 15 min for sushi rolls. The server apologized for the wait but it kept taking longer. Sushi arrived with no ginger, we had to go up to the bar to get ginger. The server should have told a manager of the situation. People who were seated way after us got their sushi rolls way before us. Prices were crazy high. Worst of all, the sushi rolls have gone way downhill too. Never again. Learned our lesson too many times. So sad read more

I was in disbelief with how slow the service was tonight. The food was good which is a bummer because I will not be returning. It took us ONE HOUR to get our drinks in our hand from when we first sat down. It was not busy either. I would have liked a second drink but the waitress was not around at all to order a second. Granted it's summer time, we were seated right away. The server was pleasant. We ordered the jalapeño yellow tail sashimi dish and ahi tuna salad. Both dishes we're really good. There was some confusion as to what the market special included and the price is kind of high for a place that doesn't exactly have the namesake yet. As well, they overly advertise that proteins are "all natural" which really doesn't tell a good story. I'm always kind of skeptical as to what "all natural" actually means especially when it comes to proteins. If you were to say it's grass fed beef or wild caught fish that would paint a better picture. I would come back though which is a good thing. read more

Overpriced poor quality sushi. I love the Scottsdale Sushi Brokers.. this one sucked. Small rolls. Small cuts of sashimi. The cuts of steak on the surf and turf were much smaller than I typically get. They tried to disguise the undersized roll and steak under a pile of onions, which were good. The steak actually seemed boiled it was so rubbery. I mentioned this to our server and he just laughed it off and said he was sorry. I expect to spend $$$ on good sushi . $64 for a 12 pc sashimi and 2 rolls with 2 waters seemed excessive for the poor quality. The other roll with lobster dynamite was delicious. I put a $100 dollar bill in the check. Our server looked at it and said you don't need any change right... right.. enjoy my smaller than my usual tip. This place just landed on my list of chain restaurants I choose not to visit. Oh... and I woke up at 3 am thanksgiving day with apparent food poisoning.. just lowered you to a 1 star :/ read more

Decent sushi place. We had the tempura veggies, volcano chicken (like buffalo chicken), spring rolls, calamari, krab ragoon, Las Vegas roll, Alaskan roll, and Chimichanga roll. The Vegas was by far my favorite; the way they do the tempura batter makes it light and crispy. The Chimi's sauce was overpowering and all I tasted was heat. Service was great, though, and Monday happy hour seemed to be a good time to go as it wasn't very busy. read more

After being denied a seat at Clever Koi (we are trying every restaurant in Downtown Gilbert since we just moved here; we won't be going back there due to the obnoxious waiting line etc.), we automatically walked over to Sushi Brokers as it has been on our list..... we were not disappointed. We were acknowledged and seated right away. We ordered the tempura, chicken lettuce wraps, and poke bowl and a few drinks. Our waitress was on her game and very amiable with us throughout our stay. The food is decently priced and the atmosphere is quaint with good lighting and music. The food was delish; however, I was disappointed in the small size of the tempura shrimp. Went in for happy hour, got several different rolls to feed a table of four. The server was very courteous to us. The rolls were honestly not bad for the price, and it's a nice looking place overall to casually eat. I recommend the spicy salmon and spicy yellowtail rolls. read more

Service and food has declined aggressively over the last year. Multiple new management and staff have walked through those doors and gone within weeks. I keep retrying after a month or two, here and there, and same disappointment. I always wait at least 5-10 minutes for service, at 10-11pm after my work shift. I'm a solo bar guest. Always overlooked and after waiting too long I have to ask a sous chef to find a bartender to assist me, but it's very slow. I always get a small side of fried combination rice. I did not know there was a menu change a month ago. What used to cost $10.50 now was $26!!! $26 for a SMALL size combination rice?! To add chicken, steak, or shrimp used to be an additional $1.50 per add on. Now it's $6/7 each. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I've never turned away food but I literally was not accepting being ripped off that blatantly. Please be careful of the new menu prices. Food is really good normally but definitely not worth the wait and frustration and now the price. read more

It was good. I'm not a huge sushi guy so my opinion is kind of worthless here but I figured I'd rate it anyway. Worth a shot I guess.

Watched all 3 of the sushi "chefs" on the bar split up their tips while customers are still in the building and in front of them. One still had his food service gloves.. he went right back to work with them touching ready to eat sashimi .. none of the other two washed their hands either. Went right back to handling food.. server rolls up to the bar to make his friends drinks doesnt wash his hands and dips his bare hands into the bowl of red cherries .. handles the drinks and serves them to a table .. i really hope the heath department comes and catches these unsanitary failures. I will never come back awful service and disgusting habits are not something we want to see while having dinner .. read more

The Philly roll I got was bland and uninspired, even for a kind of bland roll to begin with. The miso soup was just... not good. And cold. The squid salad was okay, but barely anything in it. But we had a reservation for 7 pm, arrived 5 minutes before, only to be told our table was given away and we had to wait. We were seated at 7:20. Its out daughters birthday, and this started our night off terribly. I liked this place, but I hate it's location....more so the outdoor seating. It's next to the parking garage and there is alot of noise that disturbs your meal. The police are constantly called because kids joyride in the parking garage and party on the roof top, all days of the week. Car alarms go off because they rev their engines up and down the garage like it's Tokyo drift, peeling out, and have no care for pedestrians walking through. As for the food, it tasted great. It is pricey for the portion size, but this is sushi. Interior is beautiful, ambient. Considering the amount of restaurants within walking distance, I could see myself possibly never going here again... unless it's happy hour and I can sit inside, or they build a sound barrier between the restaurant and the parking garage. read more

It was only moderately busy but getting refills was a waiting game as to whether the server was walking around or hanging out at the bar chatting with a bartender.
