3.5/5 Stick with the sushi and you'll do just fine here. If you try the rice bowls, don't say I didn't warn ya. The sushi here was decent quality and as Bob Barker and Drew Carey would say, The Price is Right at $2.50 a plate. Portions were fair and everything on the conveyor belt tasted good for the price. I liked the variety of items too, which varied from nigiri and rolls to deep fried items such as a crispy potato wrapped shrimp tempura and mozzarella balls. My husband had the oyako bowl and it wasn't very good. The chicken was overcooked and rubbery. and when I tried a bite the chicken had a bit of a funky taste to it and wasn't very pleasant to chew. It doesn't seem like anyone had checked the bathrooms recently since there was no toilet paper and there was just the barest amount of soap left. The seat also wasn't super clean so it was a good thing I had some wipes with me. The other negative was that we had a discount card that was supposed to allow us to get 5% off our meal but the person who took our check told us they couldn't honor it because no one knew how to discount the total.

Our favorite was the shrimp tempura and the Sedona

The variety of selections of sushi's was great. The service was good and the price was good for 4 people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a fun place to go to for a date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It is a very cute little place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The sushi was very ok to say the least, service was mostly the same. Some of the fish was not the best but overall it was ok and for the price (2.50$ a plate) as long as I don't get sick it was worth another go

My friend and I rolled into Eastwind Sushi and Grill for a weekday lunch. We were intrigued by the revolving sushi. The place wasn't very busy. We were greeted and seated right away by the friendly staff. We sat by the revolving sushi bar and immediately started pulling plates that we were interested in. We gathered several plates containing raw sushi, cooked sushi, edamame, etc. The plates were only $2.50 each and came with two to three decent-size rolls. It's a fantastic deal. However, there wasn't much of a variety on the conveyor belt; less than ten options. We ended up with pretty much two of each. Unfortunately, none of the rolls stood out to us. You do have the option of ordering from the menu. Perhaps the sushi from their menu would have been better. Five stars for the wonderful staff, three and a half for the sushi at the revolving bar.

So far I've been here 3 or 4 times in the 2 months since I've moved to Chandler. It's one of my favorite new spots that I happened to stumble upon. The plates are $2.50 so already a steal and you can mostly seat yourself if you're gonna be by the revolving bar. It's honestly one of the quickest services I've had somewhere, we can usually sit down and be out 30 minutes later. The ambiance is super chill, there's usually 2 or 3 servers waiting to take drink orders (and sauce orders for me). Overall I recommend this place for a quick eat and they also usually have sports on the TVs.

Meh, it used to be better. I drove across the valley to come here since I remembered it being good. Sushi isn't fantastic quality and a few pieces at $2.50/plate. Don't order their lunch menu bowls for the $7 price unless you want just a bowl of saueced rice. There wasn't very much in terms of protein. There are only a few tiny chunks of chicken, maybe 2 oz at best.

I've always wanted to try sushi on a conveyor belt and this place delivered. It was so fun. My 12 year old daughter loved it! We went on Thursday night around 5 and it wasn't busy at all. Our server was great. They had more options on the conveyor belt after we already ate so I'd wait til closer to 5:30 to go for dinner. Each plate had 2-3 pieces of sushi and each plate costs $2.50. I loved being able to try different rolls. My favorites were the Climax and New York. There was also edamame, spring rolls, dumplings and other appetizers on the conveyor belt. I wouldn't go with high expectations for mind blowing sushi, this place is more for the experience, but I would go back!

As a Black family, the experience left us feeling unwelcome. I can't say why we were treated this way, but the interaction was extremely disappointing, we chose to dine elsewhere. Update: After my original review, the restaurant reached out to apologize for our experience. We decided to give them another chance, and I'm glad we did. Our return visit was completely different. The service was excellent, and we had the pleasure of meeting the Ashley Cook, General Manager and the owner. They made us feel genuinely welcome. Music is always on pointe and I would never change the look or ambiance of the place either. My last trip here though I had to ask about why the menu had stopped changing as often since we were one of two parties there in the middle of happy hour and there was a large framed picture of a bartender with a bunch of signed notes on the bottom of it beside me at the bar. It turns out that one of the oldest curators and bartenders of the bar and restaurant had passed from a drunk driving incident and I had not known at all! Gosh I was so disappointed in myself that I had ever complained about not having a new menu to try after that...but at the same time it was amazing to hear so many great anecdotes and to learn so much more about him and the history of the bar itself while dining this time. I had a lot of fun times at this bar - including remembering the first time I met that bartender and sharing that memory with the staff that told me their story. They also shared that they would be coming out with a new menu very soon and some of the new items and ideas that would be rolling out so I am also very excited to go back! New food menu tomorrow too?! What?! I was almost tempted to back today to get more of their amazing dishes from the main menu!! Thank you Cat for the amazing hospitality! I learned so much about Gaea in one afternoon too :D Love it. I didn't really try to feel the ambiance for the visit. I ordered a few basic and "safe" (but would consider as staple) dishes to test out this place: tempura, spicy tuna roll, rainbow roll, and chicken Yakisoba. Overall, yes, they all hit the standard. They are all good, but not great. Honestly, it will become the go-to 4th place and I would go back if my top 3 are all not available/long wait/close for the day. Lastly, the tempura is the most disappointing of all with portion size. So order 2 plates if you like veggies more than shrimps.

She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

The menu was 5 courses prix fixe designed by the head chef for this group. The restaurant was closed as a private event. Service was excellent, the food was also so delicious, and cocktails were great too. Shimogamo is one of the few Japanese restaurants in the valley that remind me of eating Japanese food in Japan. It's well prepared, fresh, and high quality. The cocktails are creative and nods to Japan with delicate flavors and unique ingredients. Our courses were: started with the truffle amberjack which is a flavor bomb, very rich and truffle forward. Which I don't always enjoy but when paired with amberjack, it was great. 2nd course was a nigiri plate- 4 choices: sea bream (which I love), a fancy type salmon, toro, and couple pieces of the wagyu roll. Next onto a darn near perfect crab croquet that was creamy with big pieces of crab and perfectly fried, and main course was K4 ranch Wagyu from Prescott. Very buttery and delicious. We ended with a matcha basque cheesecake. The chefs talked about the food, answered questions, and talked about their background. It was an enjoyable dinner and we will be back for the "oysters and cocktails" hour they were promoting. I love both of those things.
