    Lollipop Roll

Sushi Broker has some definite highlights! We came for an early dinner and took full advantage of their generous Happy Hour (3-6:30 every day!)--great prices that made our meal super wallet-friendly. Food-wise, the calamari was just okay--nothing to write home about--but the Lollipop roll was fresh, light, and totally refreshing. The Diamondback roll had bold flavor and was a big hit at our table--perfect if you like something a bit more adventurous. That said, service was a bit underwhelming. They weren't busy, but our server was slow to check in, we had to ask for water refills (and even then didn't get much), and we ended up grabbing our own utensils from the side station. Not a huge deal, but it did take away from the overall experience. Still, good sushi, great happy hour prices, and a relaxed vibe--we'd come back, just hoping for a bit more attention next time!

Great service good food. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. There was only one waiter but he was very good at attending tables. He was also very pleasant and professional. Nothing fancy but nice place for a quick sushi bite.

Meh! Nothing was bad, but nothing was really that good either. 4 of us stopped in for Happy Hour on a Wednesday and maybe there were 1 or 2 other tables. Service wasn't bad, but with only 1 or 2 other tables, I thought they'd be all over us. We ordered, crab Rangoon and 5 happy hour rolls (California, Las Vegas, Diamond Back, Damn Good & Shrimp Tempura) and a Yakisoba with chicken bowl. Everything was OK, but nothing was worth having again. Anytime i have a crab roll with sliced of artificial crab, I know it's NOT gonna be great. The location is kinda hidden from the busy Gilbert road foot traffic but there is plenty of nearby free parking. Unfortunately, I won't be needing parking for going there again.

Great first time! I came w/ a group of girls per one of their request cuz she loves it and now I do too! We caught the beginning of happy hour on a Friday and were the only ones for a hot minute (although they were filling up as we left) . But we had great service, sat on the nice patio, the whole restaurant is spacious tho ! Plenty of parking and clean bathroom just to note . Food wise, everything I had was delicious! Sake bombs were plentiful and our server really was great and flexible with us. Also happy hour is a steal especially as a Tucsonan in Phx for the weekend. I'll definitely be back next time I'm up there!

I love this place and think it's one of the best sushi in town. I get the cowboy, surfer, and lollipop roll so I am basing it off that. I sit at the bar and the service is always been great. I am very surprised by the reviews as I am picky but can say this place is so much better than the reviews suggest.

Jose was our server, he made us feel welcomed and was very attentive. Our food was delicious. Jose made a delicious red sangria rising and man he didn't miss a step it was amazing!! I'd recommend asking for him when ordering this drink

I've been to sushi brokers many times in Gilbert and Phoenix but today's visit was so underwhelming and disappointing. The gyoza potstickers tasted like they were frozen and stale then reheated to a warm temperature. The crunchy roll which is so hard to mess up, was also a weird warm, like it had been sitting out. Very fishy tasting for it to just be shrimp and crab. We ate 2 pieces of the roll and 2 gyoza, left the rest at the front of the table. We asked for the bill and I was disappointed that the server didn't ask how it was or ask if anything was wrong. I'm not one to complain but showing attention when food is clearly not liked, would make me feel better about the experience. The only positive was the chili garlic edamame, and I've still had better. This visit makes me not want to come back again, unless it's to Phoenix and even then it's not worth the drive.

I hate to say it... Sushi Brokers was not much better the second time around. I simply can't wrap my head around paying this much for mediocre sushi. It's not awful but man, does it just not match the price. The Volcano Chicken was dry.. the best part about that dish was the white rice. The ramen was bland as well. This time the server was also incredibly short with us. But, the place gets points from me for being open later at night than other sushi places.

It's not near the best sushi I've had, but it filled the craving we had. The wall murals and decor were simple but classy. We also noticed the noise level was good despite many people in a small space. Overall, this is a nice little neighborhood spot for sushi and worth a visit!

I figured a Sunday afternoon would be calm, so I decided to pop in for a solo lunch. What I Ordered: - Yuzu Mule: The drink was delicious and refreshing, so I ordered a second one. Definitely order if I return as well. - Hamachi Lime Roll: This roll had an odd texture to me, and ultimately, I grabbed the rest to go as it was a little off putting to me. The flavor was decent though I found myself wishing there was more crunch with tempura flakes or panko bread crumbs on top. - Crazy Roll: The winner between the two rolls in terms of flavor and preference. Though, I wish this roll had the spicy mayo the other one had. I'd definitely order again and ask for a side of spicy mayo that I could add to the roll. Love the soy paper option! As for ambiance? I thought country music was an incredibly odd choice for this establishment hence the 4 stars versus 5 star review. I'd prefer more traditional Japanese music, or heck, even some J-Rock over American country music. I'm guessing Sunday afternoon is a slower time, so it was employee choice. Overall, I'd visit again when in the area and recommend to friends/family.

Course 2: Spicy Scallop Futomaki/hokkaido scallop / benishoga / chili crisp/ takuan / wasabi mayo. This roll tastes great, scallop tastes fresh and I love the way it was seasoned. However the rice around it was too much that I couldn't taste the scallop fully. I wouldn't get this dish again because of the rice around it was too much. Course 3: Ocean Trout Mi-Cuit/ okinawa potato croquette / citrus cream/fried capers / crispy salmon skin. I love the cream and the capers in this dish. The fish is seared. Although not much flavor in the fish itself but because of the sauce, it complements the dish well. Course 4: Dessert - Yuzu Lychee Sorbet/vanilla whisky hojicha granita. Oh my gosh, this is my favorite dish! It was so good and refreshing! The yuzu sorbet was tart and creamy. And the hojicha ice underneath was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant just for this dish and the first dish!

She was super attentive too and kept refilling our drinks throughout the meal. We tried a mix of specialty rolls and more basic rolls. Most of the specialty rolls were around $15 each, while the basic rolls were under $10. The spicy tuna rolls were especially good for the price because they were cheap, but still came out huge. Overall the portions were very generous and the prices weren't bad at all. I got the Hell Fire roll and it definitely lived up to the name. I handle spicy food really well and even for me this thing was extremely spicy. It was almost painfully hot, but honestly I kind of enjoyed the challenge, It was also really good besides just being spicy, so I'd definitely get it again. The inside also had a cool vibe with all the colorful lighting and it wasn't too busy when we went which was nice. Most of our sushi came out almost immediately. The fried rolls understandably took a little longer since they had to be made fresh. My only small complaint is I wish everything would of came out closer to the same time, because some of us already had food while we were still waiting on the fried rolls. Overall, really good food, huge portions, fair prices and great service, definitely a spot I'd come back to.

We arrived a little early, so they told us we could sit at the bar & have a drink. We sat there for 15+ minutes & the girl getting things ready for the bar totally ignored us. Right before we were seated someone else took our drink order & said she'd bring them to the table. Hubby got a beer & I got a Tito's & cranberry juice. We ordered an appetizer. While we were waiting they sat another 4 with us. We all expected dinner & a "show", but none of us expected the show we got. One of the staff started screaming at another staff member. We had no idea what the female staff member was saying since her words were not in English. She was so loud & screaming in the bar area so the entire restaurant could hear her. A couple of staff members tried to claim her dow. This went on for several minutes. It was crazy. All us customers were silent & just looking at the girl screaming & yelling. The next thing we know, round two. It was unbelievable. What was even crazier was they didn't send the staff member home! No one came over & said a word. No one apologized or said anything. After all of this, they sat couple with us. Finally the chef came to the table. By this time it was 20 til 6:00. Hubby got the filet with fried rice. I got the shrimp with fried rice. The food was good. However, hubby's steak was over cooked. Thankfully, hubby told the chef he wanted to change the steak from medium to medium rare, or it would have been even more over cooked. I also watch all of the employees but one prepping the food without gloves. This used to be our go to place for, but now with all this issues this time, we will probably have to find a new place.

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.
