I ordered Sushi Ginza last week and forgot to submit my review. We got a sweet potato roll, shrimp tempura roll, and chicken teriyaki. I live nearby and this has always been my go to sushi spot. The sushi was delicious, however the chicken teriyaki was kinda chewy and I had some "funny" yucky chicken bites. THE rice though made me stop eating the entire meal. Came here a few days ago. The interior is nice and there is a nice booth seating in the back which is great for big parties. The staff is nice and makes sure you have everything you need and want. I had an avocado roll and a cucumber roll. Both were very good. I then got chicken teriyaki and it was not that flavorful and the chicken was a bit chewy/soft for my liking. Other dishes that were had were the rock shrimp which was enjoyed by the table, fried rice, shumai, edamame beans and others. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. So, maybe it was just me. read more

Really great place for dining and takeout sushi. Usually I'm pretty skeptical of takeout sushi, but I ordered pickup here and all the rolls were really fresh and delicious. I got the chicken udon as well which paired well with the sushi. They also have a great lunch special here on the weekdays. read more

After ordering for a large group, I asked the waiter if I could double check the order, just to make sure (since we were ordering food + drinks for a large group and with a birthday person, I just wanted to be sure it was right). Our waiter snapped at me that he knew how to take an order, and then left without a word. Our group was quite stunned in silence, but didn't want to make a big deal of it at the time to not upset the birthday girl. I don't recommend coming here for a special occasion, or in general. When you're looking for clean, above average selection of sushi. Raw food, especially raw fish is something that you don't want at a deep discount/incredible cheap. The quality of the product can only be reflective in the cost. That being said, when you're looking for a clean above average selection of raw fish, not a kick ass omakase place but a safe haven for raw food this place it's the spot. I usually get most orders to go. Maybe have a beer while I wait. They do decent business for dine in and dine out. Everyone seems nice and attentive. I never had an issue with anything there really. They are my go to for mid level sushi/sashimi. I really think most will be happy there. Want something cheaper go to katagiri and get the fish to go. Want to go next level up head to sasabune. Crazy good sushi! Salmon and tuna (tuna especially) tasted super fresh. The atmosphere is chic, upscale, and comfortable. (not super relevant but I love the subtle teal and purple color scheme.) 6 months ago when I started coming here this was easily a 5 star restaurant. I have been two times in the last couple weeks and unfortunately the quality and portions have gone down significantly. The nigiri from today had about 12 pieces of rice under it and the quality of the salmon was noticeably lower. I will give it one more shot in a few weeks as it is very convenient to my work but as of now I can't recommend this one anymore. read more

We ordered delivery from here and everything was very good and all of the fish tasted very fresh. We started with the crispy rice with spicy tuna and the rice was still crispy upon delivery and the spicy tuna had a nice flavor. The portion was also pretty generous. I also got the salmon ikura taco which was very good and it came with 2 pieces. There was no special sauce on top but the fish tasted very fresh. We then got the banzai roll which came with spicy scallop and avocado topped with tuna and yellowtail. This was also very good. read more

We had a great time! Service was top notch. Waitress noticed that our second round hadn't arrived and went to check on it, before we even had to ask. Staff was very efficient and ready with the next course at appropriate times. The place is beautifully decorated. Tables were nearly all full, but it was just a short wait before something opened up. My friend and I had an amazing dinner here!! We walked in with no reservation on a Saturday night at 7:30 and sat at the sushi bar. The hostesses were extremely friendly, along with the wait staff. The owner came up to introduce himself and thanked us multiple times for our business (the restaurant has only been open since July 1st). The sushi was melt in your mouth delicious! I see many 5 star positive reviews which are puzzling to me given the quality of the food and the unusual pricing - but it may these reviews are from well inclined friends and family of the owner. For example I. ordered one small piece of beef (3/4 inch) and they charged $16. You may think I'm a grouch but if you read my other review you'll see I am a positive person /reviewer. I'm just warning you. One tip - if you come before 3 pm the food is the same bland food but the prices are much more reasonable. read more

Yikes. The theme of the dinner I had is: inconsistent. The staff was warm and welcoming, so no issues with service. The issue was purely with the food. Sushi is my favorite food and I'm definitely critical of it, especially at high end prices such as at this location. I just want people to know what they're getting into prior to spending their money. The crispy yellowtail appetizer: was pleasant enough, but the rice was inconsistent and unpleasantly chewy in some spots, gooey in others. The topping of the spicy yellowtail itself was very tasty though. 3/5 The otoro caviar nori taco: the first round of this was delicious. It had wasabi and was so well balanced- the first round of these was 5/5 no question. However, I got a second round of this and it didn't have the wasabi nor did it impress like the first time - less balanced. My only suspicion is a different chef prepared this round. Still a 4/5 because the otoro was fresh and the caviar good quality. My s/o and I both got the tuna dinner: It was about 8 pieces of lean tuna nigiri and a crispy spicy tuna roll. My partner was not impressed and neither was I. My nigiri pieces were dry, the rice and fish kept falling apart, and the tuna was mealy and room temp. It was very unappetizing and hard to eat so many of the same poorly done piece. It also leaned somewhat fishy, which I didn't even process until my partner tried my nigiri (to help me finish) and told me my plate was much worse than his own and fishier. The crispy spicy tuna roll was also somewhat dry. My server had to offer us spicy Mayo and eel sauce because she noticed we weren't liking our meal at all. I can't remember the last time I needed spicy mayo or eel sauce on the side of a sushi meal I was having. Also, the wasabi wasn't freshly grated, but the tubed horseradish kind that's really harsh. I know this is extremely common, but this makes a difference for me. This tuna platter was a 1/5 for both myself and my partner, we didn't finish it. All in all, these dishes above plus 2 cokes set us back a regrettable $85 each or so. For this price, we could've gone to an omakase and had a much better time. It was very close to home and we were looking forward to trying it. Too bad! read more
