Sushi D is the first date we've ever been on as a couple. It is a quaint place where couples or friends can come to enjoy a meal while catching up on old times. The service is good and fast. You don't have to wait too long for your meal. The fish is fresh and melts on your palate. I believe we fell in love after this first date.

Ordered delivery for Sushi D on Grubhub. Fast, standard, D for doing alright. Sushi D came across as a popular Grubhub sushi restaurant on the app for those living in downtown Brooklyn. Despite inflation, pricing is relatively standard and so is the food. The lack of wow factor, the normality and the regular ness. Need I say more? Best part though, the delivery was faster than expected! So that's a definite plus.

I tried - oshinko roll - pickled radish. This was delicious verdant roll - this had cucumber, asparagus, tamago with honey wasabi- a definitely unique flavor and I enjoyed it. This spot has variety of vegetarian options and it's good for a quick cheap delivery in this area

I'm sorry...I paid $20 for this chicken katsu curry. This is what I got. I'll just let the photo speak for itself.

When a sushi place has the word "sushi" in its restaurant name, one can usually assume that the place is just average; and that's exactly what Sushi D was - forgettable and the typical norm of "just ok". Upon walking in, the place totally smelt of a strong bleach; totally like a Clorox type. The place was clean and the decor was nice, but not enough to encourage me that my meal would be up to my standards. I started with a kani salad- pretty hard to mess up - it was fine, but a little too much cucumber instead of kani. Please don't do this! I want a KANI salad; not CUCUMBER. Totally a pet peeve; all and all, it was my favorite part of the meal. Then for the main event I ordered a spicy tuna hand roll ($5.50!) and it was very strange - it had powdered wasabi and panko flakes instead of the usual smooth spicy paste. It was dry and loaded with rice; not cool. I also bought a $9 Dragon roll that was again, mostly rice and the eel was pretty nonexistent. I'm not sure if there's an eel shortage going on or what, but for $9, I was expecting a bit more "wow" factor than what I got. Ehhh... Sushi D was more like a C honestly....

I normally really like Sushi D, but the dragon roll I ordered today was significantly worse than the basic rolls and the rainbow rolls I've ordered before. The eel was really dry? I don't understand it at all. It crumbled when I picked it out of the roll and tasted like it had gone bad.

A so-so sushi restaurant smack dab in downtown Brooklyn. Definitely not where you would go for truly authentic Japanese cuisine or even a bustling nightlife like you would in the city, but again its sleepy Brooklyn. I started off with a plate of BBQ chicken skewers. They were decently grilled and drizzled with a teriyaki glaze. One of the better dishes here. For my sushi, I ordered a Tempura roll and an Eel & Avocado roll. They were mehhh. Not bad, but also not the best I've had. And to round things out I ordered the vegetable fried rice. This was actually my most favorite dish out of everything they served, even though it was also obviously one of the easiest to make. Sometimes, the best food really is cheap food. :)

The kani said was very good! It had a lot more kani than I expected. Good, mild dressing.

The sunshine roll is great. The miso soup is avg at best but overall the sushi is worth the visit. Best sushi in Fort Greene!

45 min late and blah sushi. I would try one of the other options in Brooklyn (e.g., Ki Sushi).

An absolute gem in South Park Slope!…read more We happened to be staying at a friend's place a few blocks away and was looking for something open on the later side with great food. We searched Yelp and came across Konoba Yakitori, and it absolutely hit the spot. My daughter and I loved our entire experience--everything from the food to the local neighborhood vibe to the incredibly friendly, attentive staff. Everything we ordered was fresh, cooked to perfection, and reasonably priced. We had the gyoza, edamame, Hamachi Lover, Ebi Shu Mai, and the $15 Beef Set (three beef skewers), accompanied by hot tea and Ramune. The beef skewers were a highlight--tender meat with seasoning that was spot-on. Warm, welcoming, prompt, and super efficient. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating, and our waiter was extremely helpful in guiding us through the menu. Top-tier service all around. The space is small and cozy with a simple, comfortable design. Seating is a bit tight and close to neighboring tables, but there's nothing wrong with being snug, rght? It gets busy, but customers tend to eat quickly, so even without reservations, the wait moves well. Most importantly, despite it being a intimate spot, we never felt rushed at all. It's simple, which is what makes it amazing. An incredible restaurant all around--I love this place and can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

The portion size lined up with the cost, and more importantly, the quality delivered. Every sip of the broth and every slurp of the udon made it clear this was a thoughtfully prepared dish. I went with the niku udon on recommendation and it lived up to it. The flavor was rich and satisfying, and the quality of the meat really stood out. What really put things into perspective was visiting Raku shortly after. At a similar price point, the difference in portion, flavor, and quality of ingredients was noticeable. Muteki felt more filling and more complete as a meal. I left genuinely happy with the experience and would definitely come back to try more of their udon options.

I loved…read morethe ambiance and decor of the place including their handmade bowls and plates, which are individually made by the owner --wow. To start off, we had the Cheeseburger Dumplings ($12), which was so unique. We've never had something like this and they executed it really well. The dumplings were filled with meat and fried with a skirt. The cheese part was topped over it like a melty dressing, so a delicious and special dish here. Plus, it had a side salad to balance all the grease here. For the entrees, we had to get the udon and shared the Niku Udon ($25) and Salmon Ikura Udon ($30). It was a nice combo between a hot and cold udon. The Niku was your classic udon bowl filled with plenty of beef and a perfectly soft-boiled egg. The broth was sweet and savory for a warm and comforting meal. On the other hand, the salmon udon was quite unique with matcha udon and fresh salmon. There is a dashi to pour and mix into the noodles, which still gave it flavor and the slurp you want in a udon. Both were so great in its own way. Even their ramen also looked great, but I love all noodles. Definitely a great spot to dine near Barclays Center. Love to come back whenever I'm in the area again. The udon dishes are on the pricier side, but they're huge bowls.
