Solid sushi go-to spot! Service was suuuuper friendly and the sushi was fresh and delicious (nothing over the top creative - but had all the standard options). The salmon nigiri had a great portion of salmon and was really delicious. The dining area spacious with outdoor options. I'll definitely be back.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. They offer a wide selection of food. The service is pretty fast too. We didn't wait for our food too long and the it can get pretty busy. It's a cute area where it's located. Highly recommend it!

I love that they're open midday--it's perfect for a quick after-school lunch with the kids! The lunch specials are amazing, and the staff are always super friendly. Such a great spot for an easy family meal!

Had dinner here last night and was very pleased with service and quality of sushi was on par! They also provided us with a live band that was a Christian based group that was really good! My overall experience was 10/10 and highly recommended

This review is about the patio and live music. My husband and I saw the British Invasion band on Saturday. They were awesome! The dance floor was packed. The weather was perfect and the patio is lovely. We shared a lemon salmon roll and garlic edamame. Both items were fantastic. We are lucky to have such a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful patio in Downtown. The service was great as always.

My sister and I found this place in a cute plaza in downtown Fullerton & I'm so glad we stopped in. The sushi is melt-in-your-mouth GOOD. You can tell they care about quality! there was more fish than rice (always a win), and the rice itself was soft. Every bite felt super fresh. Service was fast and genuinely kind. The staff was really attentive and made sure we had a great experience. Prices were super reasonable too! around $13-$20, which is pretty standard for sushi, but the quality felt above average. Not too busy when we went, and they had calming music playing, which made the whole vibe even better!

What a great place for lowkey chill sushi! I came here for lunch on a Saturday around 12:30pm, the restaurant wasn't busy but had a few tables. They had lots to choose from but my favorite I ordered was the Spicy Salmon Crispy Rice, it was spicy but sweet with the crunch! The ambience inside is beautiful and mellow. The outdoor seating is something i'd love to try too!

I keep hearing about sushi fire and since it's right near me, I figured I'd better go check it out. I am a huge sushi fan and it better be good. Upon arriving our lovely server Me lani was amazing. We had sushi, sashimi, albacore avocado roll, edamame, miso soup, tempura shrimp, egg rolls, sake, you name it lol and everything was spectacular! The place is really cute but the sushi bar side doesn't open until 4 o'clock daytime serves lunch on the other side and on the patio, but the sushi chef is working behind the sushi bar in the closed off room. We will definitely be back again. it was fresh. It was beautiful and the service couldn't have been better .

First time in this nice set up of a sushi restaurant they have plenty of space for outside dining and a small space for indoor. I guess in the evening people tend to take the tables outside. This restaurant is right at the corner of Harbor Blvd and Chapman Ave. My wife ordered the Hamachi Kama Bento box the main dish is the Broiled Yellow Tail Collar and mixed Shrimp Tempura. The tempura was small and burnt and not golden however. The Yellow Tail Collar tasted just like regular fish. I ordered Salmon Handroll and Salmon tempura. The hand roll was good but the Salmon Roll was smaller than the picture of the menu ( see my pictures) Service was fast. Coming back here for a second time, I might think twice.

    1. Ambiance and Environment Sushi Fire is a somewhat secluded spot in Downtown Fullerton in an inward-facing outdoor plaza. The exterior of the restaurant was very clean, but you will have to keep walking deeper into the plaza - past the coffee shoop and a bit into the outdoor area - to find the entrance for Sushi Fire. The interior of the place at the time of my visit was heavily decorated with winter holiday ornaments (see attached photos) which made the place feel current. Aside from the holiday decorations, the seating arrangement was very spacious and tons of natural light brightened up the dining area with the support of a few interior lights. The windows floor-to-ceiling windows aren't tinted, so it may be a bit awkward getting seated at tables right next to it because you're very visible to the folks walking outside. 2. Food and Drinks The food has such great presentation that I was pleasantly surprised when they brought it out. The sushi rolls looked neat and tight. It also had some garnishes. The bento box was also really well presented. It looked like the food was placed in the box with care. Sometimes rice just gets thrown in a plate, but the rice here looked like it was first shaped with a bowl then placed in the box. Really great flavor on top of the great presentation really elevated the food. They also bring you a pitcher of water for self-serve water, which was really appreciated because I personally don't like having to keep calling the server back for water refills. The miso was also nice and hot. 3. Service The staff member that we were helped by was a very kind person. They were conversational and talked to us about the holidays, but was very respectful that one of my friends didn't celebrate the holidays. The staff member kept checking up on us, but not in an overbearing manner. Amazing customer service, overall. 4. Pricing The pricing of both the rolls was slightly higher than usual, but the bento box felt appropriately-priced. 5. Restroom I did not use the restroom at this time. 6. Parking There's parking spots right outside of the plaza that it's located at. Parking wasnt an issue, and there's plenty of spots even with the other business at the plaza.

There is no sushi bar here. All food is prepared in the kitchen which is out of sight. The food: 10/10. We shared the large sashimi platter and the spicy tuna crispy rice. I had an additional blue crab hand roll. All were excellent. And the fresh wasabi was delicious! The ambience: 3/10. We found the vibe to be a downer. They are obviously a Christian restaurant and play Christian Muzak-style instrumental on a tv screen with the playlist and the lyrics to the songs on the screen. There are also bible verses on the menus. I don't object to their (or anyone's) religious preference, but I don't think it should be foisted on diners who just want to eat some good sushi. I won't go back, as there far more upbeat and fun restaurants with sushi bars and a much cooler vibe.

The Spicy Crab & Scallop Hand Roll was delicious!

The place was all decked out for the holidays... ornaments, lights, poinsettias, & Christmas music all around! There's indoor & outdoor (w/ heaters) seating. It's very cute, quaint, & casual, but could easily be romantic if you choose a table off to the side. Our server was very attentive & sweet. Her voice was almost sing-songy... such a lovely lady! We were very happy with the Nami roll, the spicy crab & scallop hand roll, & another roll I didn't get to photograph because it was gobbled up too quickly! Something albacore w/ spicy mayo on top - yum!! Even my simple bento box was delicious... the curry, the sauce for the gyoza, the crispy chicken breast - nothing to complain about. All the sauces & textures were just perfect. The only thing missing from the menu are no-rice rolls. Other than that, we'll be going back. They were out of the madame jasmine tea, & I luuv me some lychee, so I'll even go back just for that!

    Yellowtail Jalapeño Roll

Sushi here was out of this world! The salmon sushi is my favorite resembling a buttery texture and impeccable flavor. All of the rolls we ordered were blissfully wonderful and fulfilling! The lady serving us was patient, kind and helpful. 10/10 would go again!

With the food, we got the Kara Misu Ramen and Tonkotsu Ramen bowls. The presentation looked great. Broth on both bowls tasted good. The pork tastes soft like fat. Unlike other places that serve pork, it tasted undercooked in a texture sense. Next time I'll come back to try a different menu item.

But it's always been a viable option for some good food. But today I was shocked by how empty it was on a Thursday at 3pm. Something seemed off. I wondered because the service is quick and the staff is nice. Our appetizers were great no issues there. But apoun tasting my ramen it became more obvious to me why this place fell off and didn't have a soul inside. The tonkatsu ramen here use to be DELICIOUS. An experience of flavors and textures it was like cooked for 16 hours or something like that but idk if they got rid of that ,for some reason today my ramen was just bland and flavorless and not that hot and the meat was a little undercooked for my liking. I typically don't like to add too many condiments or chili oil to my ramen the broth alone should be able to stand on its own but it just did not. It was lowkey kinda nasty. And the noodles didn't help. And if I recall the last few times I've been here I recalled the same issue. The sauce on the teriyaki chicken was almost gelatinous. It looked like snot, it had this strange texture. I've never tasted something so gross. It Tasted worse than it looked and it looked terrible No joke. I hope they're able to fix these things because it's such a staple. This place really needs to get it together like how it was in 2016-2019! Those were some good times here!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Great ramen, sushi, and more for everyone!…read more The hubby and I'd learned about this place from a vegan acquaintance and were intrigued enough to make the trek from Long Beach to check it out. Located in an older shopping center, the interior had a clean, pleasant homey traditional Japanese look to it, but it did feel a bit cramped with divider walls. The main attraction for us was their vegan menu, of course, which turned out to be amazingly extensive (they have non-vegan stuff too). Generally, even if a restaurant offers vegan/vegetarian items it feels like a token afterthought, but not here. In addition to the ramen and sushi items we were expecting, there were a bunch we were not, like "meaty" dumplings, fried "shrimp", and "chicken" katsu curry (which I had to try). I was really wowed by this dish; the "chicken" felt like an actual breast meat filet, and the crispy coating was great. The curry was the real star, which had all the right flavors and texture that I remembered. The hubby had the Vegan Ecstasy ramen, which he really enjoyed. It had a delicious creamy broth with broccoli, corn, tofu slices, and delightfully chewy noodles. We also shared a vegan caterpillar roll; couldn't tell what they used for the "eel" (eggplant?), but since the star of caterpillar rolls is the avocado and sauce, it had the right flavor and texture. We were with my non-veg brother and nephew, who shared a salmon roll, CA roll, and spicy pork won tons, which they really liked. According to my brother the wontons were very spicy, with a lot of chili threads on top, so beware. They also gave us some complimentary vegan matcha ice cream at the end (has nuts, fyi), which we thought was a nice touch. The great food, service, and prices so wowed us that we brought my sister and her family here to celebrate some birthdays. I'd called ahead to reserve a table for our party of six, and we were sat at the large semi circle booth at the back. We ordered an assortment of veg and non-veg items and everyone loved the food. This is now our go-to for vegan ramen and Japanese food, especially if we're meeting up with non-veg people.
