We decided to dine inside, but there is a nice, large front patio if you'd like to dine outside! Service was great, friendly, and quick. We were brought ginger and wasabi shortly after ordering! Best hidden sushi spot in Orange County. Lunch specials M-F 11-3pm any two roll on special menu for $25! The rolls here are absolutely delicious. Try the Nami roll and the Tataki roll if you like spicy and savory. Mango crunch roll or lemon roll for something light and fresh. The sushi here tasted amazing! It was really fresh and flavorful. I got the Tiger roll and it had different ingredients from other tiger rolls I've had at other sushi restaurants. Nonetheless it was so good! I usually don't like rolls with spicy tuna because they go a little heavy on the portion but I didn't mind it on this roll. The house chili gave it so much flavor! I also got a ramen but I feel like it was lacking flavor. I wouldn't get it again but I'd definitely return to try other rolls. The service was okay. Not bad at all, just a little slow to take our orders. The interior was really cute and they also have really nice outdoor seating. They have space for bigger groups so that's a plus. read more

Portion size was good. Prices were comparable to other similar restaurants. But all three rolls were just ok. I don't think the fish was super fresh. Everything came across bland and very average. Nice! Another sushi place crossed off my list! Frozen fish from who knows how long ago. Disgusting. The salmon was good about 4 days ago. Disgusting. Dissatisfied. Disappointed. Go to Kaori, literally across the street. They never use frozen fish and pass it off as fresh. If they don't have the fresh fish you want, they let you know. This place satisfies so many needs. Super happy they are here. 1) DTF needed a great sushi spot. Kaori just isn't the same after the change in ownership. 2) After Tazon left, this restaurant location didn't fill for so long even though it is such an awesome location! 3) Fullerton as a whole needed a great mid-range sushi spot. I love akafuji, but it's not a regular type of place due to the price. Sushi fire seems to still be gaining traction as it is still fairly new, there were about 4 tables seated in the restaurant on a slow Wednesday night. I take that as a bonus as the service was great and attentive. The ambience of the restaurant I would call soothing. They have spa music going on, and the building is incredible. It's a really cool spot. Can't wait to eat sushi on the Patio in a summer afternoon. However, what really impressed my was the quality of their sushi. For this price I was not expecting the nigiri to be as good as it was. The nigiri was incredible. I normally don't love cajun albacore, but it was the best that I've ever had. Their kanpachi was also VERY high quality. The server recommended the kanpachi because it had come in from Japan that week. They had a check in special for a California roll, and I normally don't do California rolls but even this just seemed super high quality.
