My favorite Hawaiian food place ever! The worker is super nice and I love his energy!! :)))

This one is a tough one for me. I've liked the Aloha Hawaiian BBQ I've gotten from the Tustin and Santa Ana locations, but this one was a tad lackluster. I ordered the BBQ chicken plate and the beef ribs plate. I believe it was around $16 and $17 respectively. The BBQ chicken was fine, but they didn't give as much as the other locations. The beef ribs were terrible. 3 bones and barely any meat on them. They were also quite dry. Like if I'm eating beef jerky off the bone. Don't get the beef ribs! The chicken plate was fine, but if you can, visit the other locations mentioned. You're welcome. read more

Service shit .. I'm there pumping sauces and the cashier (IRENE) has the nerve to tell me what I can and cannot grab. To add context Me and husband ordered Bbq beef and a BBQ MIX PLATE. And was getting SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE which homegirl in the front said " THATS ONLY FOR KATSU CHICKEN. " I'm sorry what????? I had no idea there were rules on the sauces. Would not come here again! Had a very bad experience w the food portion, taste was alright though. They put lettuce in the bottom so the portions look big. They also only opened the door and did not turn the AC on when the weather was around 100 degrees and it was mad hot. I was eating sweating... and there appears to be no customers during lunch time, service was alright. But it was strange how as soon as I ordered couple seconds later I received my food as if it was pre made. I will not be coming here again. read more

Huge portions!! I've seen this place for years but never thought to give it a try and boy was I missing out! I grabbed lunch there one day and already ordered from them again. Love their chicken plate, which is chicken katsu and bbq chicken. Super huge portions, I like the cabbage and mac salad as well! And you can self serve extra sauce on the side too!! I wanted to grab lunch for my family and me, and I remembered that this restaurant offers big portions for solid prices. Through their website, I got the BBQ chicken and katsu plate ($16.71), chicken katsu plate ($17.71), and spam musubi (two pieces) ($5.21). Because I ordered online, there was a 4% card surcharge. The menu on the restaurant's TV screens reflects only cash prices. For transparency, it'd be nice if the restaurant stated that the surcharge was 4%. The ordering website reflects only card prices. The convenience was good. I remembered that it usually takes a while for them to prepare the food. In about 25 minutes, the food was ready for pickup. The BBQ chicken and katsu plate was solid, but it came with a rather small scoop of macaroni salad. The chicken katsu plate had a big scoop of macaroni salad, however. The two plates lasted us three days in leftovers. While I wanted mostly chicken katsu, I think the Hawaiian BBQ mix is the best choice because of the diversity. Decided to stop by to see what this place was about since I was getting my tires done down the street. It Ended up being a little pricey for me, but you do get a lot of food for the amount I paid. The chicken was very tasty and flavorful. You get two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and tons of chicken. For the amount of food that you get and a small drink I ended up paying $20 out the door. The service was super quick as well. I had it less than five minutes and there were only about two other people in the restaurant with me. The restaurant was super clean and appeared organized. The Customer service was great, quick and efficient. I would definitely go back and perhaps try other items as well. The guy next to me got the Loco moco plate and it definitely looked good. So, I asked if I can order the beef rib plate and pay extra for a couple pieces of chicken. They said they cannot and they had no other options to provide because it wasn't in their system. Holy smokes, just happened to be in the strip mall I was planning to head to my favorite chicken bowl restaurants in Cypress, but decided to give this spot a try, hidden gem.. their mini bowl was a little more expensive than other mini meals but when you look at the portions, well worth it and if you factor in the flavors, it was outstanding. I added a chicken skewer to the meal and he warned me that it would be spicy, I love spice, but was not expecting the kick. It was outstanding. Can't wait to try other meals. read more

I like how light the katsu sauce is here. They make the katsu chicken here fresh to order so I highly recommend ordering ahead of time if you don't want to wait. Went there looking for teriyaki bbq and they didn't disappoint! Had lots of parking and received a friendly welcome. I ordered the bbq mix and it's a ton of food which could easily feed two people. I found Aloha Hawaiian BBQ on Yelp and decided to grab it for dinner. I ordered the loco moco, spam masubi, and chicken katsu. All were so tasty and flavorful. The loco moco and katsu came with rice and macaroni salad. They were both so filling. I was only able to eat half the loco moco and my husband only finished half of his katsu. The service was great. Stopped in to try the $1.99 bbq chicken skewer just to feel this place out since food places in this shopping center are hit or miss and wanted to try something without having to full commit since I had just ate and I was very glad I did. It was amazing and I'm very picky when it comes to food quality and taste. Went back the next day for 4 more. Best bbq chicken skewer I have had in a long time. They pack a bit of spice too which I really enjoyed. I'll be back to try more. Service was great and I even got a free drink while I waited. Same friendly cashier. He has built a rapport with alot of the returning customers. Food continues to taste bomb. Speed of cooking can vary but the flavors are still on point. Stopped in after calling and the number was disconnected, turns out they are now Aloha and no longer Joy, which is why the number didn't work. I should have just left cause they didn't have what I was craving from Joy, but I went ahead and ordered chicken katsu and crab rangoons. $24, but the portion was huge so I could have had this meal multiple days. Crab Rangoon was too fishy for me, it didn't even smell good. I ate one and tossed the rest. Katsu was juicy and good quality, but they didn't give me any katsu sauce. I wasn't about to drive back over there after I was back at the office, so I ate it dry. Mac salad wasn't the best, honestly tasted like tuna salad.
