Would not come here again! Had a very bad experience w the food portion, taste was alright though. They put lettuce in the bottom so the portions look big. They also only opened the door and did not turn the AC on when the weather was around 100 degrees and it was mad hot. I was eating sweating... and there appears to be no customers during lunch time, service was alright. But it was strange how as soon as I ordered couple seconds later I received my food as if it was pre made. I will not be coming here again.

Huge portions!! I've seen this place for years but never thought to give it a try and boy was I missing out! I grabbed lunch there one day and already ordered from them again. Love their chicken plate, which is chicken katsu and bbq chicken. Super huge portions, I like the cabbage and mac salad as well! And you can self serve extra sauce on the side too!! Place is really clean with tables if you want to dine in and the guy was really friendly when I was there. Easy parking and will definitely be getting food from here again!

Hawaiian BBQ mix (galbi, chicken, and beef) with rice, macaroni salad, and cabbage

I wanted to grab lunch for my family and me, and I remembered that this restaurant offers big portions for solid prices. Through their website, I got the BBQ chicken and katsu plate ($16.71), chicken katsu plate ($17.71), and spam musubi (two pieces) ($5.21). Because I ordered online, there was a 4% card surcharge. The menu on the restaurant's TV screens reflects only cash prices. For transparency, it'd be nice if the restaurant stated that the surcharge was 4%. The ordering website reflects only card prices. The convenience was good. I remembered that it usually takes a while for them to prepare the food. In about 25 minutes, the food was ready for pickup. The BBQ chicken and katsu plate was solid, but it came with a rather small scoop of macaroni salad. The chicken katsu plate had a big scoop of macaroni salad, however. The two plates lasted us three days in leftovers. While I wanted mostly chicken katsu, I think the Hawaiian BBQ mix is the best choice because of the diversity. It was also my first time trying their spam musubi, which I liked.

Stopped by this spot for their chicken skewers and the head cashier was super friendly. $2 chicken skewers were delicious and fresh. Highly recommend.

Decided to stop by to see what this place was about since I was getting my tires done down the street. It Ended up being a little pricey for me, but you do get a lot of food for the amount I paid. The chicken was very tasty and flavorful. You get two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and tons of chicken. For the amount of food that you get and a small drink I ended up paying $20 out the door. The service was super quick as well. I had it less than five minutes and there were only about two other people in the restaurant with me. The restaurant was super clean and appeared organized. The Customer service was great, quick and efficient. I would definitely go back and perhaps try other items as well. The guy next to me got the Loco moco plate and it definitely looked good. I would give this place a try.

I normally do not give a bad review and that's the case this time as soon as I walked in Jon greeted me with a smile. Welcome me. Explain to me the menu options. I went with option number four. The prices were decent and when I got my plate. The amount of food they gave. The price was amazing. The flavor was on point. This is definitely my new barbecue place. Thank you Jon for a great service. See you next time.

This is our usual got to spot for Hawaiian BBQ Family meal. Grilled chicken, chicken katsu, and Mahi fish (bbq ribs are good but can be a little too fatty at times). Wish there were more side options like noodles or veggies (not just cabbage) but maybe those aren't Hawaiian items.

Holy smokes, just happened to be in the strip mall I was planning to head to my favorite chicken bowl restaurants in Cypress, but decided to give this spot a try, hidden gem.. their mini bowl was a little more expensive than other mini meals but when you look at the portions, well worth it and if you factor in the flavors, it was outstanding. I added a chicken skewer to the meal and he warned me that it would be spicy, I love spice, but was not expecting the kick. It was outstanding. Can't wait to try other meals.

Was in the area and decided to try the place again. Still delicious and portions were huge as well! The cashier guy was very friendly and they are still having the free soda promotion. I like how light the katsu sauce is here. They make the katsu chicken here fresh to order so I highly recommend ordering ahead of time if you don't want to wait. Prices are also good and they are also selling meat screwers for $1.99 right now.

New to the area and wanted to try some new Hawaiian food. Friendly customer service from the young gentlemen in the front ! Called in my order and my food was ready in 15 mins. Loved the tender bbq beef & portion of the plates.

Maybe if they paid more attention, I would've got the correct portions. For almost $20 a plate, this place is way overpriced. I will never comeback. The restaurant definitely needs work all round.

We arrived in the late afternoon and unfortunately they were all out of the malasadas which I planned to get for dessert. My friend ordered the Loco Moco and at first I was going to get a two item lunch plate with pork belly and beef but I decided against the plate. Instead I placed an order of their pork belly fries and spam fried rice. The Loco Moco was solid. The burger patty was cooked evenly, well seasoned and eggs over easy on top with gravy that wasn't salty. I love the Spam fried rice but my friend though it tasted too sweet. I think all the ingredients complimented well together. The spam, onions, and other veggies. The pork belly definitely gave a unique flavor to the pork belly fries. Both my friend and I agree that even though the pork belly tasted good it was a bit dry. The fries were above average. I would get the Loco Moco and Spam fried rice again but skip the pork belly fries. The service was friendly and my only complaint is that it is a small place. There are only a hand full of tables and finding a place to sit and eat would be a challenge during a lunch rush. However, I recommend giving a place a shot if your a fan of Hawaiian food. I already know that I'm coming back for the malasadas.

Definitely not how Hawaiian mac salad should taste, and I was even more annoyed that I paid for extra. The kalbi was decent but got way too fatty as I ate. I was happy they topped it with green onions (flavor was good) 7/10. They also didn't have a teriyaki/soy glaze or house brown sauce, which was disappointing. From the start, the service was excellent and easily one of the highlights of our visit. The cashier was exceptionally kind and even apologized for the wait, generously applying his employee discount to our order to make up for it. Despite the initial delay, our food was ready within 10 minutes. **Spam Brûlée Musubi: 5/5** Nestled between layers of freshly steamed rice, the grilled spam was coated in a glossy teriyaki-style glaze. Creamy kimchi aioli was drizzled on top, while the brûléed brown sugar formed a thin caramelized crust that added a pleasant sweetness and delicate crunch with each bite. It was so good that we ended up getting a second order. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken Sandwich: 5/5** This sandwich featured incredibly crispy panko-fried chicken that remained tender and juicy beneath its golden crust, smothered in hot kimchi butter that provided a subtle acidity and gentle heat. A touch of brûléed brown sugar introduced a sweet contrast to the savory fried chicken, while the kimchi aioli and macaroni salad brought a mellow creaminess that balanced its richness. Rounding out the sandwich was the Hawaiian bun, which was soft and moist yet nicely toasted on the exterior. **Hot Kimchi Butter Katsu Chicken & Katsu Shrimp Mixed Plate: 5/5** The mixed plate was another standout, combining their signature chopped katsu chicken with lightly battered shrimp drenched in hot kimchi butter. The shrimp had a light crispness that gave way to a succulent, snappy bite, while the sauce delivered a bold, umami-forward flavor. Accompanying the proteins were rice and their house-made macaroni salad, which incorporated shredded tuna and mashed hard-boiled eggs into a mayonnaise-based dressing finished with a sprinkle of paprika. These additions elevated an otherwise unassuming side with unexpected depth and complexity. Between the outstanding hospitality and impressive execution, Shootz exceeded expectations across the board, earning its place as my go-to whenever I'm at Rodeo 39.
