Ordered two (2) SG Premium boats for a group of seven guests and was sorely disappointed. Boats consisted of a mixture of various sushi rolls that were terrible in taste and content (see pictures). Guests were so disappointed in taste that as pictured more than half of each boat was uneaten. Each roll was overpacked with enormous gobs of soggy rice that was pressed hard to hold them together. The fish was very thin and barely covered the large rolls of rice making it obvious that the goal was to fill customers with rice with very little fish. One can tell the age of sushi in that if it's fresh their is almost no fishy smell but this sushi had a strong fishy odor meaning that it's getting old. For the price of the meal (very high) one would expect quality, but their was no quality to this meal. When management was contacted, they claimed that everything was perfect, that it's supposed to have lots of rice and fishy smell. Basically they just wanted to argue. We won't be back to this place. Save your time and money because you can get better sushi at many grocery markets or look for reviews with five stars. read more

My boyfriend came in with me and he carries a service animal. Staff was extremely rude and demanded to see his license despite asking for it is illegal. They were very hesitant to offer service, and when they did, they isolated us from the rest of the people in the restaurant. Because of ADA laws they are not legally allowed to ask for his license, they can only ask what task he is required to perform, which we would have been happy to answer if they had asked. Both the host and his boss (I assume) gave us dirty looks as if this dog was not a service animal. Terrible service, very dissatisfied. The food was okay, that being said and our waiter was nice. Wife and I decided to try this place as we both love sushi we went here for lunch so it was not too busy. The sushi was all right. Nothing special. They do have lots of options and a pretty vast menu but to me it seems like this place is more about serving as many people and not necessarily quality. the service was OK if somebody else chose this place to go to and invited me I would go and enjoy myself, but it wouldn't be my choice. I was feeling for some sushi for dinner. Decided to go to Sushi Garden on broadway and country club. My family of 5 arrived right about 6pm, no wait, it was actually really dead. We got sat immediately and our waitress was quick to get our drink order. I wish I remembered her name because she was amazing! She would not let any of drinks go empty and kept bringing us our drinks without asking or waiting for a refill. She was also very attentive when it came to my order. I felt like eating a ramen but wanted something spicy!!! She recommended the Spicy Seafood Udon soup. It was indeed spicy and full of flavor. The squid that was In there is my only complaint. It was just toooooooo rubbery. Everything else in it, such as octopus, shrimp, and mussels were bomb! It's a big soup, I had enough to eat for lunch today and still have some left! Definitely can share between 2-3 ppl easily! We ordered two cucumber salads and it was just missing something. It wasn't very good, but our waitress was kind enough to charge us for one, which we did eat. Our sushi rolls were all good! On our Vegas roll they were a little shy with the eel sauce so I had to ask for that separately. Super annoyed because the food here is usually pretty good and I come all the time. But i got the vegetable tempura to go a few days ago. I ate half of it that day and then the rest tonight. I noticed it wasn't as crispy as it usually is. It was a bit more squishy but I didn't think much about it. Yesterday after eating the first half of the tempura I felt super super sick but I thought maybe it was just the fish that I had eaten. I just ate the rest of the tempura and feel awful again. this review is for the new location on landing and irvington only-----unfortunely never returning and spreading the word-when placing an online order to be ready at noon that was obviously prepaid the order did not come out till 12:30 the manager avoided coming out and when i called the manager michael via phone and he alleged he was the manager of all 3 locations (which he lied) was rude-unproffessional and with a negative attitude. he stated no discount could be provided as the order comes out when it comes out when i asked for his superior, he claimed he was the gm of all 3 locations. i then spoke to kim who is the "owner" and referenced the above he said that this was a new location and he just hired 60 people and that we needed to be patient- i said what do you mean i understand a delay if just ordering and but this was a prepaid order in which the kitchen was well aware of this order coming in and if your going to make someone wait 30 minutes with no sincere apology that is not customer service. if a prepaid order is not ready at the exact time i understand 5-10 minutes but 30 minutes is unreasonable. i told kim "the owner" who also did not seem to care that as i told michael the gm i would be posting a negative review and this is what i am doing. he then hung up on me! read more

Sushi Garden is a Tucson favorite, primarily for lack of serious competition. They do have Great happy hour specials and the all you can eat specials. I usually go for Happy hour for the Saki Bomber and sushi. Service is usually consistent and I have never had to wait too long for a server. The primary drawbacks are the hit and miss cleanliness and crowds if you come during the busy periods. I try to show just before or just near the end of Happy hours. One time the odors from the bathrooms were so strong I had to request outdoor seating (7/24/15). Recently I have been back and my favorite patio area was torn up to be remodeled. It should be completed soon. Sushi is always good. Other items on the menu are okay. Buffets have enough variety to keep you coming back. read more

Can't say too much but one of the worst sushi food I ever had. The place is really fancy and has a great location. The menu has variety of choices for the rolls. I had ordered AYCE and had four rolls: Shrimp tempura was the best, this roll was really good. This should be your best shot. Spicy tuna roll was not spicy and good. Really below average. Salmon roll was okay to meh. Nothing interesting, nothing fancy, nothing special. Alaskan roll, this dish was made me feel bad and my stomach wasn't well because of this dish. My wife and I had been craving sushi for some time now and decided to give Sushi Garden a try. After reading some of the other reviews (which are all over the place) we felt the only way to know for sure would be actually go have a meal there. So, we arrived and thought the restaurant was laid out and decorated very nicely and put out a nice, almost chic, ambience and atmosphere. The hostess asked if we wanted to try their lunch buffet or order from the menu. We decided try the buffet. On the buffet at a restaurant named 'Sushi Gardens' one would naturally expect an ample selection of sushi. Unfortunately, there were only about 4 or 5 different rolls to choose from (fewer than you find on the average Chinese buffet these days). However they tasted just fine. The rice was seasoned well and the proteins seemed fresh. Other items on the buffet included an ample assortment of tempura, crab rangoon, salads, fried yakisobi noodles, orange chicken, teriyaki salmon and more. I particularly enjoyed the bbq spare ribs with pineapple. There were a few dessert items but nothing that really looked interesting enough to try. Most of the dishes were fine - served at proper temps. The only problem was that the tempura was cold. All in all, the buffet was enjoyable but I wish they would have informed us of their option to include all you can eat sushi from the sushi bar for $25 per person (includes the buffet). I only found out about this option on the drive home. Afterall, we went there primarily for sushi. Next time I have a sushi craving I would definitely go back. If the tempura was warm, there was more sushi on the buffet and we had been informed of the AYCE sushi option, I would rate this establishment 4 stars. read more

Went in with my boyfriend for a nice dinner, excited about the sushi rolls. We ordered 4 rolls and miso soup. Received one roll and the soup immediately. Once we finished the initial roll we waited for about 30 minutes and didn't receive the rest of the order. The waitress checked on us once saying they had a new employee working the station. A table that sat 20 minutes after us received 3 sushi rolls. After an hour had past we asked if they were still making our rolls, the manager came over smirking and said that they are working on the rolls, with no apology, and said they were too busy. (At this point the dining room was mostly cleared out) at 8 pm. We were frustrated about the situation and tried to figure out what happened to our food and how long it would take to get it, the manager instantly got angry and told us to LEAVE. He refused to communicate with us any further and wouldn't tell us his name. All we wanted was the food we waited an hour for. Another manager seemed like she wanted to help but "Chris" was getting in our face yelling and telling us to leave. We had to call the police because he was about to assault my boyfriend. - I called back and found out his name was "Chris". Left hungry, terrified and upset. The waitress was lovely, but we should've left when we had the chance. Our salmon boxes came, and I felt like Goldilocks with small, smaller and smallest portions of salmon - mine was smallest, probably about the size of the box you present your beloved's engagement ring in - 2 bites tops to finish.
