Dragon Roll, Louisiana Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll

Good little hole in the wall place. The rolls were tasty and on par for taste and price. We got the Dragon Roll, Shrimp Tempura and Louisiana Roll. All tasted fresh and good ingredients. Would go to again

This is one of our favorite spots-- my wife and I love it, but our 21 and 17yos especially. Had lunch with the 17yo daughter today. We started with edamame, which is standard but always good, then she had clear soup and I had a house salad-- I love the ginger dressing. Then she had her favorite-- Chicken fried rice-- said it was delicious and ate every bit. And I had the monkey brain appetizer as my lunch, it was delicious and the service was great. Note-- no monkeys were harmed in the preparation of my dish.

. I have eaten at Shreveport location, but I was not expecting much from the strip center location. Funky interior with white table clothes and pink napkins. My server Christian was great--attentive, quick, helpful. The food came quickly and was flavorful.

Food was good! Went there for a quick bite to eat. Food came out fast and it was hot! I got the shrimp fried rice and my partner got the chicken fried rice. I also had a crab crunch roll! It was good. Would go there again.

Best sushi spot in SBC; the Shreveport location was my go-to but the Bossier location does not fall short. Fresh fish, good drinks, delicious food. I would recommend the fried rice, salmon nigiri, spicy sashimi salad, and hurricane cocktail.

I loved the service and the food is great, but they lost a star because of their weird business hours.

Tried the sushi here several times and the freshness is never very consistent. Friendly staff and quick service, though.

My party and I had a wonderful experience at Chen's Garden in Shreveport. We started with the crab…read morerangoons, which were fried perfectly with a rich, flavorful crab filling. We also tried the soft-shell crab--it was beautifully presented and tasted incredibly fresh. One guest ordered the seafood combination dinner and said everything was well-cooked, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. The fried rice that came with the seafood dinner was cooked very nicely with egg and great texture. Another had the orange chicken, and although there were several chili peppers in the sauce, it wasn't too spicy--just right. The orange flavor really came through, and everything was fried crisp, not soggy. I ordered the Dragon and Phoenix dinner (General Tso's chicken and shrimp with onion and ginger slices), and it was hands down the best General Tso's I've ever had. The shrimp were beautifully cooked, and I opted for lo mein instead of rice--it was fresh, lightly sauced, and not oily at all. This is not a buffet, and honestly, it felt like stepping back 40 years to when Chinese restaurants were more intimate, authentic, and personal. The staff was friendly and courteous, and the time from ordering to receiving our food was impressively quick. I highly recommend this hidden gem. They also offer sushi and a variety of lunch specials (we visited outside of lunch hours), and everything looked so good that I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.

Notes: 1) been here once…read more2) private parking lot Pros: 1) food tastes pretty fresh and there's different options that go beyond sushi 2) service was quick and great (even if they are short-staffed 3) ambiance is good Cons: 1) they have a particular style and you'll see it in the options (particularly the sushi ingredients) Rating: 4.5/5 For being in Shreveport, it's actually pretty decent sushi. I think every roll is fresh and it was worth the drive over. I would say that most sushi had very similar ingredients: something fried, a fresh fish, and then whatever makes it special which makes the taste similar at times. Another way to say this is that the fish is not the star of the show, the other ingredients and sauces are. The salad sampler was actually a great deal. Lots of fresh ingredients in there. The salad was great with the ginger dressing and the miso soup was good. The service was great. Very attentive and very friendly. They were looking for more servers so they may be short staffed at times but i think it's worth the wait. The ambiance is good too. Makes you feel like you're in some place authentic. And it's locally owned. I'd say it's worth the try. You get pretty decent sushi and good options for all kinds of dishes. Salad sampler: 5/5 good deal and fresh and good Miso soup: 5/5 classic Salad with ginger dressing: 5/5 (I love ginger dressing so I may be biased) Rolls: 5/5 individually but once again they can start to taste similar at times (which makes it a 4/5 overall for all 4 rolls) I did not try the fried rolls or the other types of rolls but I have heard the sushi burrito roll was good. Ahí tuna also looked good as well

It's a shame because the establishment is great and the ambiance is reminiscent of upscale Japanese dining. Service was very slow at first. It took 25 minutes to get our soups and salads and an additional 10 to get our sushi rolls. I ordered two hand rolls, when they got to my table they were in the shape of cigars, more like uncut rolls than hand rolls. Our server seemed to be in a disagreement with the host and kept disappearing for extended periods of time. Our cook was something else. After my son told him it was my birthday, he seemed to do things to intentionally make the experience miserable. He started by pouring Yum Yum sauce on the noodles while they were on the grill, much to the disgust of mine as well as other parties at the table. As he served food, he gave extras to everyone but me and kept saying things like "birthday girl, how do you like that?" It's fine, I want food that I paid for and wasn't expecting extra, it just seemed sort of odd. He proceeded to undercook my scallops and overcook my filet. When I asked for extra Yum Yum dip, he slid a greasy bottle from his cart over to me. The party next to us looked at him and said "Are you serious?" It sucks that I drove 30 minutes and picked this place because of the high praise it had received on here. Will not be returning.
