OMG..the best sushi ever! I just knew it would be a hole in the wall... well, it wasn't and the people were wonderful . The prices were very nice, almost to a point that it concerned me considering these were raw fish meals. We found the fish to be very fresh. With sushi, this is the most important factor. However, we found the rolls themselves to be quite ordinary. The rolls were not bad but also they were not above average in taste. These were just quite meh. We do sushi many many fridays and have been doing so for years. I am not positioning myself as a sushi expert by no means but I have had enough different rolls to know what is good and what is not. If you want some quick, reasonably priced, fresh take home sushi then this place will work. Decided to stop by for a quick lunch today. We have been by the place many times bc if other places in the complex. We always wondered but had not made a stop. It is clean. It is more for take out but there are a few tables inside to eat in. The couple running it are adorable and very sweet. The chef took the time to explain the menu and the different rolls. We loved the red rice! We had 3 rolls. Wonder Woman, Superman, and King Kong. All were really good. My personal favorites were the Wonder Woman and Superman! Excellent sushi for an amazing price! $4.95-6.95 for basic rolls, and $8.95 for special rolls. The size of the rolls are also really generous, which makes it even better. I don't normally get full from sushi, but $32 worth of sushi split amongst three people was a filling lunch. I was also impressed by how quickly all the food came out, so the service was great too. This review is solely on the food. The service was really great and even brought a couple of dumplings on the house since the rolls were taking a little longer to come out. I had a california roll and a dynamite roll. For some reason the rice on the rolls was pinkish/light purple, but it didn't effect the taste. Maybe I've become a bit of a sushi snob with some of the great places in Dallas, but this was very mediocre in taste. Didn't really have much flavor and didn't seem very fresh. Sushi Go is located right next to the Brazilian jiu-jitsu gym I go to so several of the students frequent there often after classes. The sushi is great, very reasonably priced, and they staff go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your experience, to include free appetizers for no particular reason, remembering you by name... the little things that go a long way. We're new to the area so we went in search of good but affordable sushi. We discovered Sushi Go. This was the second location we tried, and it's our favorite because of the owners. They are just the best people. Our 2 year old loves tea, so we ordered an extra cup for him. Instead of green tea for him (which we were going to water down), she brought him a decaf tea. The next time I went in to pick up a to go order, she made him tea without it being part of the order, added ice, and put it in a to go cup. She also gave him sesame coconut crackers while we waited. Then she carried my 2 month old in her car seat out to the car, so I didn't have to juggle both children and my order! The sushi chef (her husband I think), gave us a bonus spicy tuna mix with our order. I cannot say enough nice things about these people! Outstanding service aside, the sushi is delicious. We've yet to have something we didn't like, though Crab Lovers is our favorite, and the beet rice? Love it! It really adds to the flavor of the sushi. We'll definitely be regulars here! read more

THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING! From the outside, my friends and I were weary. They gave us free edamame and desert, the sashimi was AMAZING, and my friends who got rolls loved them. My brother asked for sushi and i didn't want to go to a place where I had to dine in and tip with a waiter, etc. Came back and saw they raised their prices, pretty typical when you get big. My cousin gave me a punch card so that's why I came. Turns out it's for the Mckinney location and they don't accept it, pretty lame. I got California rolls, and they were disappointing. Not sure if the beet rice makes any difference because the rice tasted really dry. The fillings were so sad. Barely any fake crab, and I'm talking BARELY. Mostly cucumbers. It tasted like a cucumber roll really. My brother got irritated with it and took them out of 4 rolls, attached is a photo of the pile of cucumbers. I honestly don't want to ruin people's lives, but you can't mess with health. My family and I ate here on a Friday and by the next afternoon we all had food poisoning that lasted 2-3 days. Unfortunately, before my mom and I got sick my dad ate the rest of a roll my mom and I shared for lunch on Saturday, and he started getting sick that night. We don't live together so it was the only food we shared, couldn't have been anything else -- textbook food poisoning. We called to tell the restaurant, but the guys at SushiGo denied their food was the issue. But by all means, find out for yourselves. And tbh I feel like most their reviews are fake. I've been to some amazing spots across the country and it's tough to get a 4.5/5. This was our second time eating there and based on taste and ingredients, it's somewhere around a 3.5/5. Every time we go here the staff is friendly, funny, and kind! People don't seem to understand that sushi takes a while so they end up dealing with a lot of complainers but they keep a great attitude during it all! The sushi is always great (fantastic consistency) and extremely affordable. (Plus they deliver!)
