Top left and rotating clockwise: Unadon, orange ginza roll, seadragon roll, rainbow roll, and poke bowl with salmon

Cui-daore offers a wide variety of sushi and other dishes, making it easy to find something for everyone. My favorite was the Orange Ginza Roll. The combination of fresh salmon, orange, and crispy tempura crunch was unique, well balanced, and delicious. We also ordered the Seadragon Roll (eel and avocado) and the Rainbow Roll, both of which were classic favorites with fresh ingredients. The unadon was another standout, with rich pieces of eel that were perfectly glazed. We also ordered a poke bowl with rice, three scoops of salmon, all the standard toppings, garlic ponzu, and a side of yuzu wasabi aioli. Every bite was fresh and flavorful, and the yuzu wasabi aioli added a nice creamy kick. Overall, the food was consistently delicious and made with quality ingredients. The only downside is the pricing because it feels a bit expensive for the portion sizes. Even so, it's a tasty spot that's worth visiting when you're craving Japanese food.

I was craving speciality sushi rolls and Cui-daore delivered. This sushi shop is located near Mirimar road and replaced Sushi Deli. I ordered take out over the phone and my food was ready in 25 minutes. Service was very friendly and warm. The quality of the food was incredible. The attention to detail and flavors exceeded my expectations. - Orange Ginza Line speciality roll - This roll is a must have and my favorite item that I ordered. There was so much flavor between the salmon, orange slices, and garlic aioli. Everything blended together like a unique piece of art. - Rainbow Roll - solid and what you'd expect. Not my favorite item of the day. - Sea dragon roll - delicious: the attention to detail with the avocado slices to the perfect grilled eel this one blended together really nicely. - Poke Bowl - I ordered 3 scoops of Salmon (extra $5 for the third scoop) - this was really delicious. The salmon marinade blended together nicely with the flavored rice. Una Don - the unagi pieces had the perfect smoky and sweet flavor blend. One of the best unagi pieces I've ever had. Overall five stars for the quality of food, creativity especially with the Orange Ginza Line, and service. I will caveat that the portion sizes are quite small for the price point. I was out the door $118 for this meal for two. I'd recommend ordering like you would at an elevated dining restaurant. Try a bowl and a couple of rolls per person and splurge a little. The interior of the shop is clean and minimal and on the smaller side. Be warned there was no AC on a warm summer day when I came. These are trade offs I'm willing to overlook for an incredible quality sushi experience. I am already craving another Orange Ginza Line roll: it is calling my name!

Really happy to have this Japanese spot open in Mira Mesa! The fish is really solid and the unagi don was incredible -- one of the best I've had in a long time. The unagi was perfectly cooked and so tender, and the rice was perfection. Will be in my regular rotation for lunch. Just be prepared for a long wait and slower service as it is a very small operation. The food is worth it though!

Arrived at the restaurant 5:30-ish maybe three tables filled out of 7-9 Tables Total . Small space situated in a food court style set up in MiraMar. Started off with Yuzu Lemonaid & some tap Sapporo & a few apps Chicken Skewers , Inari Flight & Shrimp Tempura.. Drinks were cold and tasty ,chicken was great as were the shrimp & inari not all were done in a traditional Manor but there creative touches were nicely done.. My daughter had a crunchy Roll which was composed well crunchy onions riding on top were very tasty. My Son had the Marilani Roll which was tasty as well and we also added a bottle of Sake & was great !! I finished with Tuna Sashimi ,Tuna Nigiri ,Scallop Nigiri. All the raw fish items were generously cut and fresh not fresh frozen !!! All in all great eats service just a tad bit slow but nothing to cry about just sit back and relax and enjoy there talents . Will return for sure very fair price for the quality level they serve :)

This place is one of my new favorite spots! It's pretty hidden, tucked away in an unassuming little plaza in an industrial area. I think the people there were also surprised to have us come by, because they asked how we came across the place. Apparently it's recently gotten taken over by a new owner and remodeled. The interior and exterior is super cute, with kawaii Japanese decorations all throughout. There's also a cute cat theme throughout, with a little paw print stamped into the wasabi and little ceramic cat chopstick holders. The food was reasonably priced and also delicious. My favorite was the Inari set, which were very plump and full of delicious fish and juicy tofu skin. The Ajitama eggs were also yummy, and the sauce it's marinated was good enough to drink up after. When it came to the rolls, there were so many good ones to choose from, I'll have to come back to try more of them. We went with the Sanji's roll and the Buldak roll. Both of them are really well done, but I still think the Inari set was the star of the show for this meal. I also saw they sold other rice dishes/dons, which looked good, and I'll have to try that another time. There was also a selection of sakes and beers to try. Didn't try it this time, but there was a yuzu sorbet that I would want next time. Overall, this place is a hidden gem, the staff is friendly, the interior is cozy, and the food is affordable and good quality. I almost hope this place doesn't become too popular, but I'll be happy for them if it does.

    House made yuzu ice cream

Such a cute, intimate sushi spot! The sushi was delicious, especially the Citrus Hamachi Roll - fresh buttery hamachi with bright, refreshing citrus flavors that made every bite so good. The yuzu ice cream was the perfect way to finish the meal. The service was excellent, with such friendly staff, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. A wonderful experience overall. Definitely recommend!

This hole in the wall sushi restaurant is how I want to keep it but I don't gatekeep!! Came here on a triple date for good food and good times and Boy does this place deliver Mike, our server was a wealth of knowledge and suggested some incredible sushi rolls sake, and beer for our entire group You have to have the eggs! We ordered three orders and ended up ordering more because we all wanted another

Great sushi spot that I would say is a hidden gem! The rolls are really tasty and the fish is fresh! You can taste the quality and the detail in every roll. You can tell the sushi chef cares. I like this place cause you don't have to drive far to get great sushi. The inside is super chill lots of smaller tables, I'd say it's not for bigger parties more than 5 people. Nice place for a date, the beer on tap is tasty and the selection of sake or soju is nice too. I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu.

Incredible atmosphere, just to start off. Not in the fancy sense, but in that it genuinely felt like I was back in Japan. Either the owner or some other member of the staff clearly lived in Japan or has been there multiple times, because out of all the sushi places I've been in the USA, few have fit the feeling of Japan as good as this one. And it doesn't stop there; the food, while decidedly Americanized with lots of topping on the sushi, was Japan-quality in taste. Didn't get a chance to check out the shitter or pisser there, if they even have one, but I'm sure if they do that the bathrooms would probably have a bidet to blast my ass with how good the service and food was there. Not the cheapest place to go eat, but definitely not the most expensive, and the food is well above the amount you're paying. Also, be sure to make a reservation: only 3 people working there from what I saw and there's not too many seats, so you're looking at hours-long wait time if you go in the evening on some days. Easily the best sushi place in the area. If you like sushi, and you haven't been here, and you don't go here in the next week, then you're really just being an asshole to yourself.

Was in the area and craving sushi and found this place. What a gem! First of all the service out the gate was outstanding! Viv and Taira went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of and had a great experience. Calvin, the owner, was there as well and was just as awesome. We started off with the Flavored Egg. And I MEAN THIS when I say it: I could eat 25 of those. Sincerely the tastiest thing I've had in a long time! Then we had the avocado roll, rainbow roll, and broiled eel nigiri. All the cuts for the rolls were tasty and fresh. Tremendous quality. The eel nigiri was melt in your mouth with a great flame broiled flavor. Really tasty sushi. Then had the chashu don (the pork bowl). Dang. Like the flavor in the sauce for that was 10/10. The meat was also very yummy. Ended the night with the homemade yuzu ice cream. It was the perfect dessert. Side note bonus are the lil' cat ceramics to place your chopsticks :) There are plenty of cute tables inside. There's plenty of parking as it's in a industrial type of strip mall.

Solid sushi spot in Mira Mesa! We walked in without a resy on a weekday night and surprised the restaurant was pretty filled. There was ample of parking in the lot surrounded by breweries. We were immediately seated at one table by the speakers. The music was blaring right at us, it was a bit loud and the owner noticed and turned it down a notch. Service is an area of improvement and could use a little more support. Nonetheless I think they are family owned and really tried their best! I thought the rolls were a bit on the pricier end. This is what we ordered: - Daruma Roll (5/5): This was my favorite dish of the night! I like scallops and might be a little biased but this worked out perfectly with the ikura and yuzu aioli. - Citrus Hamachi Roll (4.5/5): This was my fiancés favorite and my runnerup. I wished it was salmon on the inside instead. - Protein Roll (4/5): Solid but nothing spectacular, it's just like any other protein roll but the price was a bit steep. - Inari Set (4/5): Flavorful, great for sharing, and perfect introduction to inari - Shrimp Tempura (3.5/5): Would pass on this next time - Annin Tofu dessert (4/5): I love almond tofu but I'm not sure about the granola and it's a little on the sweeter side. The crunch adds texture but perhaps something else besides granola might suit it better like

Such a cute little restaurant! The ingredients all taste super fresh and ikura bowl was so good. Definitely will come back to try their rolls. Wish they open a bit later for dinners though!

Cute japanese ambiance with reminesce of Japan and comes with very cute cat chopsticks holders. Overall the fish was very fresh and we enjoyed all our rolls. Service is chill and attentive, they were able to refill our drinks and answer or questions. Only thing we had a slight compliant was the poke bowl, the fish quality was good but the rice felt old.

It's a great spot to watch a Padres game, sit down and play some games, or just hang out, talk, and try a few new beers They have several beers we already know and love, but one of my favorite things about AleSmith is coming back to see what new seasonal beers they have. We especially look forward to Oktoberfest season every year, and somehow we almost always end up leaving with a new glass too And I can't leave out one of the main reasons we keep coming back: whenever Zoe's Place food truck is there, we're there too The food is AMAZING. Our favorite is the sampler because you get a little bit of everything, and it's the perfect amount to share between two people while having a few beers. You both actually get to eat well without ending up way too full, and everything we've tried has been delicious. The space itself is huge and such a fun place to spend a few hours without feeling rushed. Whether we're there for a Padres game, Zoe's Place, a seasonal beer, or just one of our usual favorites, we always have a good time. Definitely one of those San Diego spots we keep coming back to!

Of I could, I'd give 4.5 stars. Met up with friends who were visiting from out of town. They used to be local, but moved. Part of a surprise birthday party for one of them, and they'd gathered all of us for a reunion. The front area was pretty full. It was loud with activity, but the staff was awesome and brought over a few tables and barrels for us to use for a few hours. It was definitely warmer in this space since the air conditioner is not connected, but it was great to be separated from the crowd and hear each other better. We were closer to the axe throwing and golf/soccer simulator too. I heard there is a small arcade in the main dining/drinking area. There is a charge to throw axes, but it was already reserved/booked until about 4-5 pm and our party was wrapping up around 3 pm. There's no kitchen, but food trucks are parked outside for anyone who is hungry. The nachos, burgers, and pretzel bites were very good. Restroom are located in that area between the main space in front and where we were in the back. Clean rest rooms. I saw that there are some rooms on the second floor, accessible by stairs, but I saw an elevator too. A lot of parking spaces. Handicap parking located close to the entrance with a ramp to access it. Since we did not gather in the main area, I did not get to check out the tables and spacing thoroughly. From this visit, Alesmith looks like a great place to gather and kickback with adults with good eats and brews. Not too many kids or kid-activities, but there's no restrictions on having kids there. Check with Alesmith first before you go.
